ch 9 Hunt and reward.

Avel was already up and went into a forest near the mansion using his wind steps.

" Haha, this D level mana is really great . I feel like i can even move faster than a car ."

In a few minutes he reached the forest, he then applied more mana to his feet and " Swoosh". He jumped onto a branch of a big tree.

" Alright, it's time to practice a little more" He said with a look of determination and a smile on his face.

He jumped again on another branch and continued. After sometime his moments between branches started to become more fluid.

" huff! huff! ha, That should be enough for today. " Avel said while panting a little, he was sitting on a thick branch while his back rested against the main trunk.

Suddenly his ears picked up a sound " Howl!".

" that's the sound of a wolf. Strange it's the outer side of the forest , wolves shouldn't be here they rarely leave their territory." He exclaimed while holding his chin with his finger and thumb.

If it was past then Avel would have run away by now but his newfound powers gave him more confidence.

" I should check it out, and can even get a chance to practice my skills."

" System give me the stealth potion from the inventory. "

Avel drank two sips of the potion then using his wind steps with caution to not create much sound he went towards the direction of the sound.

When he reached the location he stood on a branch and looked down, There was a pack of 9 lightning wolves taking on a large green-scaled serpent.

"From what i remember given their grey coloured furr these wolves should be D class like me and that big wolf which looks like the alpha must be D+ , but that mist serpent is a B class beast even with the numerical superiority they would have a hard time winning ".

His eyes then darted towards a small wolf head with black fur, now Avel understood why the wolves left their territory and reached the borderline of outer forest " Hmm, so it was for revenge."

Avel then sat on the branch and waited for the fight to end.

After sometime The serpent's fangs went deep inside the alpha's neck and tore its head out. While the serpent has won it has also sustained quite a lot of injuries especially the one on its neck where its protective scales and skin were charred by lightning and its flesh was visible.

While the serpent was busy engulfing the head of the alpha wolf Avel was using his snipe skill and targeted the wound on its neck.

He brought his arm forward in a horizontal position and changed his palm and fingers into a pistol-like shape. As he focused his mana on his finger, the air started to accumulate at the tip of his finger in the form of a spear.

" Maximum power," Avel said in a hushed voice, When the wind arrow reached its max power 1/3 of Avel's mana was dried up.

He then released the arrow and instantly "Hissssssss" a loud cry was heard followed by the "thump" sound marking the fall of the serpent's head on the ground.

" FUCK, it decapitated the serpent's head. Meaning it could have still harmed it even if its scales were intact" Avel's happiness was visible on his face, right now his body was full of adrenaline.

He then jumped off the tree and went near the dead bodies.

He then took his dagger out and started digging out their mana cores.

" These wolves don't have anything of value other than their mana cores, this serpent on the other also has its scales and poison which could be sold for a good price, unfortunately With my mana level I cannot take its scales out from its body, the snipe skill can harm it but it takes too much mana and I also can't handle its dangerous venom," Avel said the last line with a sigh.

"But still given it's a B-class monster and not to mention a serpent, its mana core will be worth more than the combined value of the mana cores of these wolves " Avel was grinning from end to end as his mind was full of greed.

Serpents unlike wolves do not have a designated territory, they roam free. That's also the reason they are more dangerous as oftentimes they reach human settlements.

Due to this guards pay special attention to any news of a serpent and the adventurer guild also puts a high reward for killing serpents compared to other monsters of the same class.

" Not only Have I got a great loot but I also saved common people from a B-class monster," He said in a proud tone while sprinting out of the forest using his wind magic.

Currently, in the guild branch of this beautiful mega city a young man is standing in front of the receptionist's desk, Mana cores of 10 monsters lie on the desk in front of him.

" So, you're saying a D class like you hunted 10 D and 1 B class monster?." the female receptionist asked with a raised eyebrow.

" Yes, though I did not take them head-on. They were busy killing each other and when all the wolves died I launched a sneak attack on the serpent and had a last laugh."

The chances of a successful sneak attack by a D rank on a B-rank monster even if it's injured are very low, but for some reason, the receptionist felt like his words could be trusted.

" Alright, in that case, you must know the location of the corpses. "

The receptionist asked not for confirmation but to acquire the corpses, especially the corpse of the Mist serpent.

" I know the location, but the information is costly," Avel replied with a greedy look.

After some time Avel came out of the guild building with a satisfied look on his face.

he said while grinning as he was going back to the mansion.

By the time Avel reached the mansion, it was already midday.

" AVEL, here you are, The young lady has been looking for you since morning, she even sent us to look for you." A servant said as he spotted Avel.

" Ah, thank you," Avel said calmly as he went inside the mansion.

The other servant was perplexed and thought "Shouldn't he panic, the young lady looked quite angry."

As he went near Isolde's room he knocked on her door " My lady, it's Avel."

A voice replied from inside " Come in."

Avel entered her room and closed the door.

" WHERE WERE YOU? I was looking for you since morning," she said just as the door closed, in a displeased tone.

" Ah, about that I went to practice my increased powers and even hunted some beasts," Avel replied calmly.

For a moment Isolde was perplexed then immediately she used her mana to sense his, Then with an expression of shock on her face she asked " H-how did you reach D level so quickly? Weren't you F-level just days ago?."

" It's also one of my secrets my lady, though I can give this one away, I can get stronger by having sex," Avel said as he sat on her sofa.

Isolde blushed a little hearing his reply, then she changed the topic.

" About your butler position, it's done. You will get a room next to mine."

Hearing this a smile of satisfaction formed on his face, Being Isolde's personal butler will not only allow him to be near Isolde and have an increased quality of life but he will also have more chances to interact with the duchess.

He then licked his lips and said "Thank you, my lady. Now GET UP."

Isolde immediately got up from her bed hearing his authoritative voice.

She immediately got down and started walking towards him like a four-legged animal.

Isolde hesitated a little, her cheeks got red she closed her eyes and while fighting her embarrassment "Woof." " Woof." were the sounds that escaped her lips.

Avel released her hair and then patted her head

"Good girl."

Isolde's cave was now starting to get drenched with her juices.

" Now Isolde, are you ready to satisfy your master again," Avel asked with an amusing smile while looking down at her face, his fingers gripped her chin making her look into his green eyes.

Isolde with a blush on her cheeks and with her silver eyes directly looking into his, replied.

" Yes master❤️."
