Surprisingly something was different when he broke through, the blood of a basilisk in his body radiated outwards, and from the cracks between the castle walls, a small green snake slithered out and wrapped itself around his neck.

''Hello little guy'' Serpentine Samuel spoke lightly to the snake who seemed unafraid despite being mortal.

But before he could react he felt a slight piercing pain on his neck, the snake had spat out two sparking white fangs and pierced them deeply into Serpentine Samuels neck drawing green blood.

''What the hell?'' Serpentine Samuel immediately slapped the beast away and it landed pathetically in the corner.

Luckily he didn't use too much strength, so the little green snake crawled up looking pitiful.

However Samuels main body was surprised at this point.

''Contract beast? That little green snake?'' Of course Samuel knew what was going on with his clone body. But he didn't know he would receive a Contract beast!

Contract beasts aren't a common existence on the continent.

Warriors can make contracts using their blood with beasts, however this ties the life and death of the beasts and the caster together.

If the warrior dies, so does the beast, and if the beast dies, so does the warrior.

So Generally warriors avoid making contracts unless the beast is of a high level. After all, if it accidentally dies, isn't it their death day?

Warriors will only make contracts with strong beasts or ones with high potential, such a common grass snake would never meet the criteria.

After all it's potential is low, beyond low it definitely wouldn't become a warrior even if it was given a lifetime!

However Samuel noticed something off about its status.

Soon Serpentine Samuel set out onto the Eternal Battlefield.

He appeared on a small woody plain, and immediately he leapt up onto the faltering branch of a tree.

Why? Because he heard a beast's footsteps. The snake wrapped around his neck also reacted, its head sprouted up worriedly as it scouted around.

''Hush, calm down, it is only a Middle Rank 1 Beast.'' Serpentine Samuel said confidently when he felt the aura appear.

Slowly the beast revealed itself, it was an ashy black leopard. It crawled cautiously, its nose twitching as it smelt the body of the snake.

Serpentine Samuel saw this, and chucked the snake into a bush below him.

The rustling of the bush immediately attracted the Leopard to leep forward. It's nose rapidly twitched as it smelt it's prey.

The snake looked at Serpentine Samuel pitifully before it's body span and prepared to fight against the leopard.

But as soon as he saw the ferocious mouth of the leopard open, the snake turned and prepared to run.

Serpentine Samuel prepared to dive onto the Leopard below. He grasped two small daggers in his hands, the tips laced with poison.

But just as Serpentine Samuel prepared to dive below, he felt his strength grow dramatically, Samuel could easily tell that he would be able to face a High Rank 1 Warrior!

With the drastically increased strength, his speed rose.

With a flash he appeared above the unsuspecting Leopard's body, and his dagger pierced directly towards its head.

it was a Middle Rank 1 Beast after all, its body leapt forward and the spear only pierced the side of its body.

Blood flowed out of the Leopards side, it's lung collapsed significantly restricting its movement.

It wasn't over yet, the poison placed on the tip of the knife spread next.

The faint green liquid spread rapidly into the body of the Leopard. Unfortunately the poison wasn't strong enough to kill the beast.

It's actions turned drowsy, with the combination of blood loss and poison it struggled to walk.

Serpentine Samuel took this chance to swing the knife on his other hand and cut the throat of the beast easily.

''Haha too easssssy!'' Serpentine Samuel hissed in excitement.

''Hisss'' At the same time the small green snake crept out and began to chew on the beast's corpse.
