Invasion - 8

I hear a sound and look at Graiger, and we begin to smile.

=======================

**POV - ■■■■■**

Everyone watches as a TARDIS materializes where we are. 'Looks like he didn't want to materialize around us all at once; seems like he saw the danger of having a Cyberman inside the TARDIS.'

*vwoorp vwoorp vwoorp, vwoorp vwoorp vwoorp, thump.*

The TARDIS fully materializes, and everyone is surprised to see a cylindrical object at least 3 meters tall appear right in front of them.

"Finally, they arrived. Sometimes, I think I'm very lucky, haha." I say with a happy smile.

"Yeah, sometimes we are very lucky." Graiger responds.

"Guys, our ride is here!" I shout to everyone, and they look at me. "Everyone inside! Graiger, let's move the bomb quickly." I say, and Graiger and I start running toward the TARDIS with the bomb in hand.

Lastra looks skeptical but begins to follow us with the soldiers in tow. The TARDIS doors open, and I see Castellan Rosger at the TARDIS control panel, wearing a disapproving expression.

We enter; I place the bomb on the floor and turn towards the door, watching everyone come in. "Come on, people, get in quickly. We don't have much time." The soldiers finish entering, and I see there are more than 30 people.

"Ross, Braz, what is this thing? Bigger on the inside? How is this possible? Won't the Cybermen invade?" Lastra and all the soldiers look around in amazement as I close the TARDIS doors.

"Impressive, isn't it? This is one of my people's traits. Many things are bigger on the inside. The Cybermen could try for a thousand years, and they wouldn't be able to take even a piece off the TARDIS." I say with a smile, enjoying the look of surprise on their faces.

"What kind of trouble have you two gotten into this time?" Castellan Rosger ignores Lastra and the soldiers, approaching us with an angry look.

"Look, Mr. Rosger, we don't know either. We ended up on this planet due to a rift in space. When we got here, we found these primitive beings," I say, pointing to the Silurians, and Lastra gives me an annoyed look. "And now we're here building a bomb to wipe out a legion of upgraded Cybermen. That's basically what happened. You can ask him," I say, pointing to Graiger.

"Mr. Castellan, we can explain everything later. Can you help us drop this bomb on this place?" Graiger speaks with urgency in his voice, pointing at the hologram showing the Cybermen's central base.

Castellan looks disapproving but agrees. 'Maybe he's agreeing because it's the Cybermen, who shouldn't be in this time and space. If it were a war between species, we'd be punished,' I think with surprise.

"Lastra, tell your soldiers to retreat now!" I tell Lastra urgently.

She nods and grabs the communicator. "All units, please retreat quickly. No one can stay near the center. The Time Lords have a way to reach the center. I repeat, all units retreat." She speaks with urgency in her voice.

"Your orders are being followed, Lady Lastra. No one initiated the invasion without the bomb. We're at least 10 kilometers from the center." The communicator responds.

Lastra smiles and looks at the TARDIS with fascination. "So, what is this? You haven't explained it," Lastra approaches me and asks.

"This ship is called TARDIS, Time And Relative Dimension In Space. The most powerful ship in the entire cosmos, capable of traveling through time and space." I say with joy. 'I've always wanted to say that, haha.'

"So, when you said your people travel through time, you weren't joking?" Lastra asks, astonished.

"Of course, it wasn't a joke. My people are the most powerful race in the universe," I say with pride in my voice.

Before I can say anything else, Castellan Rosger speaks in a stern voice: "We've arrived at the location. Drop the bomb now, and we must return to Gallifrey immediately!"

"What? We moved? How? So fast?" Lastra is still shocked.

"Didn't I mention space travel?" I say.

"Let's go, Braz. We need to return to Gallifrey." Graiger says, and I go to help him drop the bomb on the Cybermen's central base. Lastra and her soldiers try to watch.

When the bomb gets close enough to the central base, it explodes.

*Boom!!*

It makes a loud noise, and we start seeing several Cybermen falling.

Lastra's communicator starts beeping. "Lady Lastra, do you copy? Lady Lastra, do you copy?"

"I'm here, soldier, proceed." Lastra replies.

"Lady Lastra, the Cybermen are falling one by one. We are winning." The soldier speaks with extreme happiness.

'Teliquiano was probably only able to keep the Silurians on the defensive because of the Cybermen. Now that they're out of the game, they can defeat the traitorous rebels,' I think, happy that it's finally over.

"We'll have a lot to talk about back on Gallifrey, do you understand, you two?" Castellan Rosger speaks from behind, frowning.

Graiger and I nod. "Did you come alone, Mr. Castellan?" I ask.

"No, there are more than 10 TARDISes and 30 ships around the planet, just in case you were in extreme danger." Castellan replies, and I smile at Graiger.

"I won the bet. I guessed more than 30 ships." Graiger looks upset about it.

"We need to leave now. Where do we drop off these beings?" Castellan Rosger asks.

"Where can you stay, Lastra? Ross and I need to return to our planet," I say.

"You can drop us at this base," she says with a sad sigh, pointing to a Silurian base on the hologram with the coordinates. 'Seems like she got attached to us,' I think with a smile.

"Maybe we can visit you when we're older, right, Graiger?" I ask Graiger beside me.

"Yes, we can, in the near future." He agrees.

"Graiger? So your names were fake?" Lastra asks, and I realize I said more than I should have.

"We've arrived. You're leaving now." Castellan Rosger says with authority to the Silurians, and they all nod.

"Look, we've arrived, haven't we? It was nice to meet you, Lastra. And yes, our names were fake. Maybe you'll find out mine in the future." I say, hugging her.

"Yes, it was nice meeting you both. And thank you for saving my people. We will always be indebted to you." She says, leaving with all the soldiers from the TARDIS.

The TARDIS starts to take off, and Graiger and I wave at them.

"Thank you, Time Lords!" The soldiers shout from afar, waving back.

"Now you have a lot to answer to the jury, especially Miss Heartshaven and Gilia." Castellan Rosger says from the control panel.

Graiger and I freeze. "We're in trouble again, Graiger. We just got out of one problem, and now we have another. That's why I say I have really bad luck sometimes."

I turn my gaze to the TARDIS and smile. "I can't wait to go home." Graiger nods in agreement.

I look outside the TARDIS and see it entering the vortex, heading towards Gallifrey.

"So, Mr. Castellan, why did you leave the brakes on?" I ask with a smile.

**Author's Note:** How was this ending? Good? Bad? Average? I feel it was anticlimactic, but it was what came to mind with what I had at the moment. I didn't want to stretch this first arc any more than I already have.

**Author's Note 2:** How did the TARDIS sound come out? Was it good? I researched how the onomatopoeia for the TARDIS materializing was written, and I saw this. You can see there are 5 *vwoorp vwoorp vwoorp* before the *thump*. I counted how many sounds it makes before fully materializing, and it came out to 5.
