Straight to the Hospital

Tae-tae and Ashlyn shared a confused gaze and then he spoke up, "Mommy, how do you and aunt Jiah have cars in the airport's parking lot?"

"You grandpa brought them last year for us and left them in the airport's parking lot. I don't know why he did it, but it's useful now," she rolled her shoulders, feeling tired but trying to hide from them.

They nodded and Taylor came to where they were standing, after parking the jet next to Aeri's parents' other private jets in a special area of the International Airport of Seoul. "You can go to the hospital, Miss Aeri. We'll leave your baggage in your old house."

"I was talking about that with Ashlyn now. Thank you, Taylor. Let's go, guys," without a second thought, she left the jet and so did Mira and Tae-tae, entering Jiah's car and heading to the hospital where her parents and brother were hospitalized.

Aeri, who was driving, went at the limit speed permitted in Seoul, and in five minutes they were in the hospital. "You shouldn't be allowed to ride, sis. I'm dizzy as fuck now."

"Language, Jiah. My son's still 7. And we're already here, aren't we? Then stop complaining and let's go inside!"

"We are in Korea now, mommy. Which means, I'm 8!"

[Of course, he would use this opportunity to say that, that's so like something I would do as well!] Aeri caught her bag, locked the car, and ran inside the hospital the faster she could, stopping in the reception to sign her name and get the number of her brother and parents' room.

"What's your name, miss?" The woman somewhat familiar wearing a mask asked.

"Choi Ae-ri!"

"Ae-ri... wait? Aeri?" She stared at her face. "You're back in the city?"

Aeri stared at the woman's face, angry and not recognizing her, not wanting either. "Listen, miss. If I've ever met you, I do not recall, so I don't recognize you. Now I have to go to my parents and my brother's room, they're in a very bad state, so, please... stop talking and let me sign this fucking paper!"

The petite black-haired woman looked shocked but gave her the papers.

"Give me two!"

"Two? But just one is needed." If a gaze could kill, Aeri would have killed the woman right in that spot, and when she saw her gaze, she gave the papers Aeri asked without another word, swallowing hard. "Who's Taeyoung?"

"In some instants, when he enters through that fucking door you will know. Now tell me the fucking room numbers already, I'm in a hurry if you did not notice yet. And stop asking questions that don't fucking disrespect you," the girl cowered and Aeri would have felt guilty if it weren't a serious situation.

"I'm sorry, Miss Choi. The numbers are 360, 361, and 362. Your brother is in the 360, your mother in the 361, and your dad is in the 362. There are some people..." Aeri couldn't care less.

She ignored the woman and ran in the direction of the rooms. Thankfully, she knew this hospital like the palm of her hand, since her dad's best friend was the owner, and she used to come here a lot when she was a kid, which helped. Ignoring everything until she reached as faster as she could, her brother's room, completely oblivious to everyone in the hospital and the people close to his room.

Someone tried to stop her from entering, but once she didn't even pay attention. "Oppa?" She cried, breathless, after opening his door with all the strength she had.

"And who are you?" The doctor asked and when she looked at him, still trying to catch her breath, she realized that it was Dr. Park Sunghae.

"What the... For fuck's sake, I'm Choi Ae-ri. His younger sister!"

He stared at her shocked. "I know you!"

"And you realized that alone or you had help?"

"What?" She sighed stressed. "I didn't know you were his sister, nor Jiah's when I met you."

"I can see that. And I don't give a fuck about it. How's my brother? Did the surgery go well? What about my parents?" Her tone was exasperated.

"Calm down a little, Young Miss Choi. Yes, the surgery went well, and he's going to recover, but it's going to take some months until he's able to get off the hospital. Your parents are also recovering, better than Mr. Mori, but recovering. They'll be out in two months if they continue recovering well like they're now."

Aeri fell to her knees, still trying to catch a breath, still holding her tears. "Thank god! I came to Seoul the faster I could. I was so... so... so fucking worried."

Dr. Park helped her get on her feet again and notice how pale she was becoming. "Your pale, did you eat something?"

"I am normally pale. I don't need to eat, I only need to see my parents!"

And she was out of her brother's room in a second, just as fast as she had come in, and entered her mom's room right after that. Still not caring about who was in front of the room.

···

Tae-tae and Jiah reached the receptionist sometime after his mom entered the hospital like a storm. "Did my mother leave the papers signed for me to go see my grandparents and my uncle, Miss?"

He asked the woman who stared at him dumbfounded. "Your what?"

"My mother! The most gorgeous woman on earth, her name is Choi Aeri!"

"She's your what?" The woman almost screamed and he thought that she could be one of the people who knew his mom back when she was a teenager, still living in Seoul.

"M-O-T-H-E-R, my mother. Miss, are you stupid?"Jiah laughed and the woman blushed, still dumbfounded, and gave the papers so Jiah could sign for herself.

"I'm sorry, it's been a crazy day! Perhaps are you Taeyoung?"

"That's me!"

"Yes, she left the papers signed. You can go. The rooms are 360, 361, and 362. Mr. Choi Mo-ri is in the 360, Mrs. Choi Yun-hee is in the 361, and Mr. Choi Hyeon-Jung is in the 362. There are some people waiting for them to wake up in the waiting area in front of the room too. They were the ones taking care of your family when you weren't around," the girl explained, still looking pale.

Taeyang nodded and went to see his uncle first, who was in the worst state, while Jiah stayed, signing the papers.

"Aren't you one of the girls who studied with my sis? The one who liked her? What's your name again?" The woman nodded.

"My name is Kim Min-jee."

"She didn't recognize you, did she?"

"Nope!" The girl seemed melancholic.
