Bai Yingzu was sitting under a tree. With an open book clutched in her left hand and resting on his knee, his right hand was used to write animatedly. The expression on his face was similar as if he was in complete ecstasy. While his eyes lit up with great emotion, the ink danced on the paper, jumping from the inkwell to the page.

"Young Master! Young Master!" A female voice interrupted the harmonic environment, overshadowing the soft sound of the pen on the page. Still Bai Yingzu did not stop, but his expression changed. He was now frowning with some distaste. He felt something annoying approaching him.

Xia Yanyu walked over, and looked at Bai Yingzu's writings with obvious doubt. "I haven't been able to understand what the young master has been writing. Are you sure those aren't just scribbles? If you want, I can teach you how to read and write. You don't have to be embarrassed."

Xia Yanyu spoke with good intentions, but Bai Yingzu felt that this was some kind of mockery. 'Who wants to learn from an airhead like you? If you can't even see that this is a crypto system, you'll never have the qualifications to be my teacher.' Bai Yingzu sneered in his mind.

No matter how much young Xia Yanyu analyzed it, she would never be able to guess that Bai Yingzu had been writing using a cryptography system so that no one would know of his investigations. Since he had woken up, he was able to move immediately. The weakness in his body had vanished as if by magic. Even though the third elder wanted to personally train him, Bai Yingzu refused. He knew that the training would take up a lot of his time, which would prevent him from investigating the mysteries of the world.

So insistent was the old man that if it weren't for the previous Bai Yingzu's affection for him, he would have insulted him endlessly. After much discussion, they agreed that his training would only consume 2 out of 8 of their time. In this way he followed his training, but he did not employ the cultivation technique, instead he had focused on the basic breathing techniques.

Bai Lie had doubts about this decision. He knew that Bai Yingzu could master a true cultivation technique, which is why at such a young age he was one step away from reaching the earthly path. Each user of metaphysical abilities could execute the control of a characteristic of nature. Speaking strictly from science, this was not humanly possible, and really people could not execute it naturally. For that some external factor was required.

This external factor was a stimulating device for the cerebral cortex. These devices were always used for studies and continuous use. Over time they had managed to improve themselves to avoid serious damage to each individual, having up to the year 5,000 a total of 3 devices.

The first device was the well-known psychic chip, embedded with a small battery that would stimulate the brain with a tiny electrical charge. This device was installed in the central part of the brain, with a 50% risk of death.

The second device was a huge leap for improvement, making a big difference in security and a noticeable increase in overall performance. This device was called nanoparticle. This was a device in the shape of a tiny needle, and it was installed only by injecting it into the upper point where the spinal column connected with the cerebellum.

The device did not require an external source of stimulating energy, it was taken directly from the main nerve currents of the brain. Reason why it was also called as CNP needle. Meaning a minimum risk of 17% to perish.

The third and final device was Bai Yingzu's personal achievement, he named it Metaphysical Field Necklace. After several years of research he found a safer way to activate metaphysical abilities. It wasn't until he developed his own device that he could finally know what kind of abilities he could wield.

This revolutionary device had a small disadvantage, almost as insignificant, but it was still taken into account by defense organizations. The downside was that users of this device saw their skills decrease by one level.

Adding that there was no risk of being installed since it was only placed on the user's neck, and after creating an electromagnetic field it could stimulate the correct parts within the brain. This caused it to be widely released for a massive sale, becoming popular for non-military users.

The adoption of the metaphysical field necklace meant a great change in the current laws, since with this they had to regulate the sale and use. Including creating a control department capable of investigating crimes related to users of metaphysical abilities, regardless of whether they were military or non-military.

The change was so extensive that specialized schools were opened, and even those skills played very important roles in the different fields of work.

Before, to identify a user of metaphysical abilities, a long study was required. Once these were identified, they were grouped by skill level and the type of control they could exert.

Later, a connection to the population registry was simply integrated into the collar, there the skills were recorded along with the levels and then they were grouped. Getting one of these devices became as easy as buying gum.

During a long time of research, a total of 5 levels had been identified, with level 1 being the lowest and level 5 being the highest. Many researchers believed that with the correct settings on the first two devices they could make the level rise substantially, although they were very well informed that this would bring serious legal problems since it would imply a greater risk.

Setting higher parameters on the first device would mean an 80% increase in risk. Increasing the parameters for the second device would increase the risk by 50%. As for the third device, it had been created to be harmless. Its parameters could be increased, but it would not make any changes since the electromagnetic waves would not affect the brain stimulation.

Bai Yingzu's metaphysical ability was gravity manipulation, which she had been able to develop up to level 4. At that level she was already able to demolish buildings and levitate heavy structures. Bai Yingzu had actually held a part-time job at a construction company, having that job was very beneficial to his skill training.

At first when he was just starting to practice he had noticed a problem. Normal breathing techniques could not properly stimulate his brain. While he had the familiar sensations, he had also realized that it didn't work exactly the same. For that reason she had had to specially adapt it to be used as a stimulating factor for metaphysical abilities.

After some time of research, with different trials and errors, she was able to find the perfect breathing technique. It was eventually called the "Metaphysical Breathing Technique". She would definitely be able to perform metaphysical skills as if she was still in her original world.

Bai Yingzu understood very well what she had done, realizing what the new technique would mean to greedy eyes. She then began to encrypt all of her research, so that in case she lost it she would not fall into the wrong hands. Though if possible she would rather never lose him.

Wherever he went, Bai Yingzu did not part with his book, this book had been made by him. Inside it he had written different observations, and with the passage of time it was getting thicker.

All these notes were treated as a great treasure because extensive knowledge was stored in it, from new breathing techniques, and even small observations about the modifications in certain cultivation techniques. There were notes about the logic of the world and its natural laws. He also included the characteristics of nature, in which he only listed the plants and animals that were located within the territory of the Bai clan.

Bai Yingzu had already planned to go out to write more things about the world in his notes. Although for that he had to get enough strength to come into contact with the outside. He did not forget that the cultivation world was too dangerous, so uncontrollable that no one could walk without fear of being killed, be it by dangerous beasts or wandering cultivators.

Bai Yingzu sighed, put the quill back in his ring, and closed the book to put it away as well. When closing the book it was revealed that on the cover he had the number 3 written, which meant that it was his third book written by him. He got up, brushing the dust off his clothes, and walked in the direction of the third elder's training room.

Xia Yanyu silently followed him. Since he had woken up, Bai Yingzu had never spoken to that young lady, it was not that he had any enmity or ill will towards her. He just didn't feel like talking. He really didn't speak so casually, only when he had questions about something.

If not for the fact that he had been seen talking to the third elder, Xia Yanyu might have believed that Bai Yingzu had a speech impediment.

Finishing the daily training with the third elder, Bai Yingzu spent the time practicing his metaphysical skill. After 9 months of practice, he could already increase and decrease the weight of any material. He could even lower his own gravity to the point where he could manage to float, at the moment only being able to rise about five centimeters.

He stopped his practice after feeling a headache, due to the unfamiliarity that the technique had with his body, this type of discomfort was normal. He believed that when he got used to it enough he could wield his ability without limitations.
