A lot of Potions

Daniel had been grinding for 4 hours straight. He was tired but his determination and thirst to collect unique items didn't let him rest.

"Huff… it's so boring and tiring." He complained, his body was aching after grinding continuously for so long. Lumi was helping him, but she was tired as well.

"Should we stop, Lumi?" Daniel asked Lumi if she wanted to stop the grind. He soon received her reply.

"Nya-" Lumi shook her head. Her eyes flashed with determination to help her master. Lumi's loyalty with Daniel had risen to the peak. She would always follow him now, no matter what happened. She was ready to die and kill for him.

Daniel felt really touched after seeing how Lumi was always helping him and encouraging him in such situations.

"Lumi… I've never told this to you until now… but you're the best companion in this world." He lifted her up in his arms and gently caressed her fur.

After showing his love to Lumi for 2 minutes, Daniel went back to grinding inside the dungeon. He had already farmed a lot of items and chests, but it was not enough for him. He wanted more and more as he kept killing the boss several times over.

This wouldn't have been possible in the first place if the boss monster was a raid boss. Raid bosses inside the game had a respawning cooldown so players couldn't spam kill them with parties unlike normal dungeon bosses.

Raid bosses always gave better loot and more exp than normal dungeon bosses, but the downside was they had a respawn time, which was usually between two days to two weeks.

Not that the loot matters to Daniel, because his drop chances were insanely high. His Divine Luck stat wasn't there just for the show. Although he couldn't increase it using stat points, his titles still gave him 200 points in the Divine Luck stat.

This was the reason behind him always getting rare chests and items. The drop rates for such items were insanely low otherwise. This was the reason why no one in the world knew about items above the Epic grade until now.

The game had only been out in the market for 5 months now. There were still many secrets to be revealed to the world. The chances of someone finding these secrets were insanely low.

Daniel kept grinding for another 2 hours before he finally called it a day and headed back to the inn with Lumi. He was tired and sleepy at the moment, so he took a quick nap.

After another hour inside the game, he woke up and found Lumi sleeping soundly on his chest. He gently picked her up and tickled her stomach to wake her up.

"Nyaaha~" Lumi couldn't resist the tickling sensation and woke up from her deep slumber.

She was kinda upset with Daniel for waking up, but as soon as she saw the delicious red berries in his hands, her mood took a turn.

"Ha~ look at these yummy berries… I wonder who wants these yummy berries…" Daniel took the berry closer to his mouth. He was teasing Lumi on purpose.

"Nyaaha!" Lumi started licking his arm. She knew how to make her master give up.

In just a few seconds, Daniel gave all the red berries to Lumi. Her trick seemed to work really well on him.

"Gosh… this cunning little fox…" Daniel facepalmed after realising what he just did. "I have to resist her charm… it can't go on like this." He didn't even know how he ended up giving her all the berries.

"A divine being sure lives up to its name huh…" He giggled and waited for Lumi to finish her food.

After staring at Lumi for 2 whole minutes, she finally finished eating all the berries. Her mouth was painted red because of the berry juice, which made Daniel laugh out loud.

Daniel picked her up and took her to the bathroom to wash her face.

After her face was clean again, they both headed out of the inn. Daniel had a lot of plans today. He had to buy potions, sell items and more importantly, he had to open a lot of chests.

"Let's start with buying potions first." The streets were less crowded now. It was easy to make his way to the alchemy shop. People were busy hunting in the dungeons and hunting areas, so there were a lot less people in the city at this time.

Daniel stepped inside the alchemy shop, closing the door behind him. He was greeted by a melodious female voice.

"Good evening sir. Welcome to the shop." A lady in her thirties spoke with a gentle voice. Seeing her beauty, any person would be mesmerised.

Daniel had already come to this shop many times, so he wasn't affected by her beauty at all. Although it did happen to him when he visited this shop for the first time. He just kept staring at her for 2 minutes at that time. It was really embarrassing for him when he came to his senses.

"Good evening." Daniel smiled and went near one of the shelves. There were many shelves inside the shop. Items were arranged neatly on the shelves. There were different sections for different potions. There were combat potions, health potions and others.

Daniel only needed the health and combat potions for now, so he quickly grabbed many of them. After he finished picking up the best ones, he quickly headed to the counter and put the potions on the table in front of the shop owner lady.

"I wanna buy all of these. Can you tell me a good price?" He asked the lady, pointing at the potions on the table.

"Um... are you sure you wanna buy all of these?" The lady was taken aback upon seeing so many potions on the table. She knew Daniel well since he frequently visited her shop, but she also knew that Daniel wasn't someone super rich who could buy this many potions.

"Yes, I am buying all of these potions on the table." Daniel replied without hesitating.

"Sure then…" the lady calculated the price of the potions in her notebook, and soon, she opened her mouth. "It will be 500 gold coins, sir."

500 gold coins amounted to 250 dollars in real world currency. The people inside the store heard the outrageous price and went into an uproar.

"250 dollars for potions? Who is this rich guy?" The people started whispering to each other.

"Perhaps… he might be from a big guild." A young girl said to her friend.

"Yeah, looks like it…" the girl's friend nodded in agreement. "What do you say, Rena? Should we get to work?" She added, with a big grin on her face.

"Sure, Lin…" the other girl spoke, she had the same expression as her friend Rena.

As soon as Daniel paid the money to the owner, he left the shop. Rena and Lin quickly started tailing him with their assassin abilities on.

"This is our golden chance… heheh" Rena grinned.
