Chapter 13: Disrespect?
The carriage drove smoothly without anyone obstructing our way. But as we get nearer to the castle, I noticed the houses are way better than where we came from.
"I know what you are thinking Alex, and yes, this area is where the rich and nobles are living."
So she noticed huh. Pity for the poor who are near the walls. If war will break out and the walls collapsed, the poor will be the first to be slaughtered.
"That's how life is. You must work hard or lucky to be born from a wealthy family." Elissa smiled, but I notice the sadness in her eyes.
Minutes later, there is a wall built with expensive materials and behind it is the castle. It's surprisingly big, resembled medieval times structures. Tourists back in my world would spend so much if they want to set foot in this area.
"It looks good but our house is better," Kohaku spoke casually, not interested in seeing the castle. Elissa raised her eyebrows when she heard what Kohaku said.
"I agree, sister. Compared to our home, this one is below average." While leaning on my shoulder, Masa muttered with her eyes closed.
"I haven't seen our house though." Aki touched her chin with her index while looking up with an expression as if she was thinking of something.
I caressed her hair and spoke. "Now, stop comparing this kind of stuff girls, and Aki, I will let you see our house later." I can use space magic and visit our home later back in the mountains.
"Ms. Elissa has arrived."
We heard someone spoke outside and the carriage halted. Elissa stood up and got out first before she called us.
"This is..."
They must be the Royal Guards. They have slightly better equipment than the rest we passed. The Royal guards stared at our group with daze expressions.
"Greetings esteemed guests." A few seconds later, both the Royal Guards lowered their heads and greeted us the moment we step foot outside the carriage.
I'm discharging a little bit of my Divine Aura to at least let them feel what I'm capable of. I'm not scaring them or anything but I made them trembled in fear.
"Tell the King first that we apologize for being late," Elissa said and one of the Royal Guards run in haste.
"Follow me, Alex." We walked smoothly inside the castle. Maids, Guards, and Butlers are everywhere but they stopped what they were doing and looked at us with admiration and disbelief.
"It's pretty big here, master," Aki mumbled while my hand is holding hers, she glanced around with excitement and as if her eyes were sparkling.
I told them not to call me master because Elissa and the rest thought that they are my lovers. Aki looks very young but her appearance suits a marriageable age, that's why no one wondered. However, Aki's mentality is similar to an 11-13-year-old child, she still needs time to mature but she's growing fast.
"Behind this door is the castle hall. You don't need to act very formally in front of the King, because your achievements exceed most of the people inside. Even the king admits it."
I nodded my head in response.
As the large door opened, a loud voice echoed and welcomed us even though we haven't taken one step inside.
"I welcome the Savior of this kingdom!" His voice echoed with respect and no ill intentions to take advantage of me. Not like anyone can take advantage of me, I have my Divine Senses activated every second.
All the people inside began to clapped and cheered. While a projector atop of the King's throne is playing and with a single glance, I know who the person is and that's me, slaughtering the demons with simply a single word.
They wore expensive clothes, must be the nobles and the kingdom. They are sitting uniformly and the closest to the King are high-ranking nobles.
While beside the King's are three feminine-looking thrones. The left side must be for the Queen while the right is for the princesses? The owner should be from girls, right?
I spotted the princesses and the Queens right away. They just arrived and entered from a small door while followed by a man and four women with weird-looking equipment.
Judging from it, that must be the hero and his girlfriends... Not sure though, they don't look very friendly to the hero.
"It's my honor to be invited by the ruler of this Kingdom." I didn't lower my head much or kneel. It's simply a gesture as a greeting in modern times.
Regardless of formality, Kohaku, Masa, and Aki didn't lower their heads. Some nobles blinked their eyes in surprise because, for them, it's disrespectful if a 'commoner' will not lower their heads in front of a King.
"How dare they!"
"At least they should show respect to our ruler!"
The Nobles around us began to speak with scorn on their faces. Knowing what is happening around us, Kohaku profoundly sighed and spoke with a dignified feminine tone that made the onlookers shudder.
"We only lower our heads with our master, lover, or partner, and that man is this man in front of you." Kohaku grabbed my left arm, followed by Masa at the right. While our little innocent Aki simply stood in front of me with no idea what is happening.

The atmosphere became awkward for a few seconds but the king clapped his hand once to gather the attention to him, and with a smile, he spoke. "Hey! Don't pressure our savior! An amazing man like him should be respected like how you guys respect me!"
His statement made the other Nobles surprised because it's the first time they see their prideful King acted like this.
It is certain with evidence that Alex showed a breathtaking performance at the Dead Woodland against the powerful and massive numbers of Demons but for the Nobles, aside from their heavy beauties and overwhelming capabilities, they still see Alex and his group as commoners, that's how Nobles treat the underprivileged inside the Luduris Kingdom because he is still a stranger to them as they didn't know his background.
"A friendly reminder, my king." Alex who remained silent raised a hand and the attention was on him. Seeing the king nodded his head once, Alex continued. " I rather not get on the bad side of my lovers... I can't handle them if they are mad, I don't want to see this prosperous kingdom destroyed to nothing."
