The Quest

Jiang Ying Yue had a blank expression on her face the entire time. She understood his story but.. it was simply too unbelievable.

"If what you said is true, then may I know where is the mark on your forehead? And why are your eyes red with white sclera instead of all red like what you said?" Jiang Ying Yue asked.

Long Xing blinked his eyes. Huh? Out of the things she asked me this?

He smiled and in less than a second, a red crescent moon symbol appeared on his forehead. "I can make it appear at wish. I learned it in order to hide myself back then when I was hiding but it was too late. People already knew my face as they put drawings of me on the wall everywhere throughout the whole empire. And like what I have said, this place was supposedly to clear me off my demonic side. So, throughout the years I have been here, my eyes have changed. I don't feel the same bloodlust anymore and my powers have been reduced to the one before I turned into a devil."

Nodding in understanding, Jiang Ying Yue continued asking him. "Well, a few days ago, I dispelled my poison. After everything completed, black and dark clouds hovered over me and red lightnings struck me for 6 times. The 7th one, it was black in color. Do you know anything about this?"

Rubbing his smooth chin, Long Xing replied, "The dark clouds and red lightnings struck you to awaken your full potential and the black lightning struck you to successfully break your Blood Moon curse's seal. So now, your full potential have been awakened and so does your Blood Moon curse making you look like this." He said while eyeing Jiang Ying Yue.

"I have ink black hair while you have silver hair, that signify us as the Blood Moon curse bearers. But if you ever one day awaken the devil in you it fully take over, your eyes will turn full red just like me back then. So now, it means that you have just unsealed the curse but not the devil in you."

Long Xing took a deep breath. "You must control your emotions and don't let the dark element take over your entire Life Bead. Currently, the dark element will start suppressing the other elements in you dantian in order to make you fully awaken the devil. You will have a chaotic energy in your body as the elements will start fighting and you can die. You need to find 3 things in order to calm the dark element in your body down and I will help you."

He added "Girl, I can also help you to make you look like a normal cultivator because your hair, eyes and the red crescent moon symbol on your forehead gave away the fact that you have awakened your full potential and who knew if someone would recognize the symbol as the Blood Moon curse's bearer. You are not strong enough to protect yourself and we don't want any danger to befall you."

He knew how painful it was to lose someone you love.

He knew the pain of constantly being danger and blaming himself for being too weak.

He did not want this girl to face the same fate as him.

Jiang Ying Yue knew this man meant no harm on her but to try to help her to this extent.. Well she was pretty sure that it was because they both were fated to have this curse.

"Long Xing, since you said that we are friends, I don't want you to call me girl anymore. I am not a kid- well my soul isn't. My name is Jiang Ying Yue. You can call me Ying Yue." She offered her hand for a handshake as a friendship symbol.

Now we are officially friends."

His heart beat was fast.

"Okay now could you please tell me what the three things are?"

Drawn back for his thought, Long Xing firmly answered. "The three things that you need to find are the ancient Black Star Crystal, phoenix's blood and mermaid's tears. Mix it and make a pill with it. The potion is called the 'Umbra Sobilis'. It is an Immortal Level 1 pill. Remember, you need to take it here in this world so that I can protect you if there is anything."

She looked around the vast, empty land behind her and the forest in front of her.

Long Xing only gave mysterious smile to Jiang Ying Yue before walking passed her.
