55 Young Miss Is Having An Affair?

Night finally arrived.

For the first time, Davis felt that he had never waited so much in his life for a member of the opposite sex. He left the Imperial Castle and made his way to the Cauldon Emporium.

The Cauldon Emporium was still open at this time. Cultivator shops are generally open during the night as well as the cultivators don't require much sleep but are keen on their profits.

Davis wore a black robe as he activated his Dark Concealing Shroud Art to conceal his aura but not his physical presence.

He then casually entered the Cauldon Emporium, sauntering as though he owned this place. The staff saw him come inside, but they didn't go disturb him since he was draped in a black robe.

Black-robed people usually conceal their identity and don't want to be disturbed unless they require some help, so they didn't opt to go near Davis. Naturally, he made his way to the Cauldon Pill Store straight away without detouring.

Just when he entered the Cauldon Pill Store, he was greeted by the same young lady he met last time.

"Precious customer, how may I help you?"

Davis instantly felt a headache descending on him as he didn't want to reveal his voice or his disguised voice either.

He just pointed at the pills kept on a shelf randomly.

"Oh, what kind of pill do you like, senior?"

He ignored her and went to grab the catalog that was placed on the desk near the entrance.

The young lady got irate and started to ignore him as well as she went minding her own business. She only approached Davis to get acquainted and earn a sum from the commission if he bought something. It wasn't her job to be so humble when she was just hired and not an enslaved person.

Meanwhile, Davis used his soul to probe around the Cauldon Pill Store. He was confident that with his Soul Forging Cultivation's level, no one could detect his probing here unless they had an Adult Soul Stage expert hidden here.

He caught sight of Evelynn's location, so he broke the jade crystal silently when no one was looking.

Evelynn, who was cultivating with all her mind in a room, was just about to swallow the pill which Davis gave into her mouth when she suddenly felt something break in her spatial ring.

"Mhm?"

She got it out, and it was the shattered pieces of the jade crystal.

'He's here!' 

Evelynn's eyes went wide as she couldn't believe it.

'He really came! But how? With all those guards assigned to him, he managed to sneak out? Or did he come with some other people?'

She possessed her doubts, but she quickly got up and headed towards the hall of the Cauldon Pill Store, but she suddenly stopped right at the door of her room.

'No, If I receive him personally, people will suspect us...' She thought.

"Miss, where are you going?" 

Maisy couldn't help but ask as she noticed her Young Miss's strange movements. However, Evelynn acted rather calmly.

"Maisy, go invite a certain person in the hall of our Cauldon Pill Store to my room."

"But Miss… Who exactly should I invite?" Maisy asked in confusion.

Evelynn contemplated for a moment before answering.

"You just stand there in the main hall. That certain person will probably come to you."

"This… alright..." Maisy replied in confusion before heading out herself.

Davis, who was waiting there, was browsing the catalog as if he won't accept anyone's help, and he finally saw a young girl coming from a certain direction.

He recognized her as Evelynn's servant. However, he saw her being fidgety and looking around for some reason.

'Is she possibly searching for me?' Davis thought.

He closed the catalog and then approached her.

It didn't take long for him to stand in front of her.

Maisy, who saw the black-robed person, asked nervously.

"Are you…."

Davis just nodded his head.

He thought she was going to ask if she was Prince Davis, so he quickly nodded his head. He didn't know that she was just going to ask if he was the person her Young Miss wanted to invite.

Maisy hesitatingly nodded and moved her lips, "My Young Miss invited you to her room. Please follow me."

She then left in a specific direction, taking a roundabout way.

Davis then followed her. He knew where she was going, but he couldn't just go alone.

After a few minutes, they arrived in front of a wooden door.

She opened it for him while he went in and then followed him inside.

Suddenly, Davis and Evelynn, who saw each other started chuckling together for no apparent reason.

'Eh? Eh!??' 

Maisy, who saw this, couldn't understand. She could tell from the laughing voice that the other party was a male. However, she still couldn't identify him, causing her to become pale.

Davis, who saw Evelynn smiling, did not waste time and got to the point as he didn't know how long he could stay here.

"Miss Evelynn, I've come in person to propose to you."

Evelynn appeared startled. It was just as she thought. He came to like her for some reason now, making her immensely curious.

"No!! Young Miss is already engaged. You can't propose to her!" 

Maisy defended as she stood in front of Evelynn, causing the both of them to be startled. 

Davis looked at Evelynn only to see her giggle gently.

"You finally came, my love!"

Evelynn said teasingly and winked at Davis, her facial expression screaming sexy, churning his heart. However, he got the underlying meaning in her wink.

'This woman has guts and can keep her calm. She even dares to make misunderstandings and is a little playful?' Davis thought but decided not to throw sand on her efforts.

"Oh my Evelynn, how long has it been since I last saw you?" He extended his hand, playing along.

"It has been too long, my love." Evelynn aptly took his hand, betting on the fact that he won't do anything to her because he was still a child.

"Miss! Are you having an affair? No way!" 

Maisy, who saw their closeness, got confused that she started pulling at her hair. She couldn't believe the atrocious scenario happening before her eyes and was immensely bewildered because she knew of no such ordeals despite being the closest to Evelynn.

This wasn't the Young Miss she knew.

"Haha~"

They both then laughed together at Daisy, seeing her make hilarious expressions. Maisy got even more confused, so Davis finally stopped his act and removed his hood.

"You...! You are that br- Prince Davis." Maisy almost blurted out, but she quickly held her tongue, smiling wryly.

'Did this girl just call me a brat?' 

Davis's eyes twitched ever so lightly, but his gaze was on someone else.

Evelynn kept her smile that appeared genuine, seemingly in a good mood. He caught sight of Evelynn's countenance and was a bit thankful to Maisy for creating a suitable and pleasant atmosphere.

He didn't know how to create an atmosphere for Evelynn to comfortably talk with him.

After all, he wasn't well versed in approaching women, for he had almost zero experience.
