52 A step Closer

"Oh my God! Marco, where are you? Do you need me to come?"

Annalise could only listen to the side of Nadia's conversation and from it, she knew something was terribly wrong. 

Her heart pounded wildly.

Finally, Nadia dropped the call and turned to her.

"What happened?" Annalise asked.

Nadia shook her head. "Apparently, Abyss has been attacked. Some gunmen pulled up in a van and just went on a full shooting spree, a lot of people were harmed, and oh well..."

Nicolás.

Her eyes widened. "How is Nicolas?"

"Oh, he is fine. His friend, not so much, poor Leo. I can't believe he's dead." And she shook her head.

Annalise could only stare wordlessly at nothing in particular. 

Leo.

He was the man who had been at Nicola's office earlier, the one who had... And now he is dead?
