Process of Resolve

Seeing Gwen run away embarrassed, Max smiled, enjoying her reaction. He saw it was getting late and decided to go home.

Meanwhile, Max's mother sat with a worried look on her face. Hearing the door open, she rushed to see Max entering. "Max, I was worried. Where have you been?" she asked with concern.

"I was with friends, sorry for worrying you," he replied.

"No, it's alright, just tell me before you go somewhere," she said, her voice softening. She knew she was overprotective after the incident but couldn't help it. She didn't want to see her son in such a position ever again.

"Yeah, I'll do that."

"Mom, I have some projects to do. Please don't disturb me until next morning," he said.

"What about your dinner?"

"I'm not really hungry. I ate outside," he said before heading to his room and shutting the door.

"I hope he is alright," she murmured, still worried.

**At Gwen's House**

After calming down, Gwen went deep into thought. Then her phone rang. It was Certic.

"Hello."

"Did you tell him about your feelings?" he asked immediately.

"No, I didn't," Gwen replied.

Over the phone, Certic teased, "You should tell him soon. You never know what might happen."

Gwen sighed. "It's not that simple."

"I know it might be hard for you," he said. "But sometimes, you have to be brave."

"Tell me everything that happened," he urged.

Gwen told him everything, holding nothing back. She knew it was embarrassing, but she needed his help desperately. After hearing the full story, Certic thought for a moment before saying, "It seems what I suspected was true."

"W-what…?" she asked in shock not knowing what he was talking about.

"Congratulations, sister-in-law. It seems like he likes you. Take care of my brother. But just to be sure, you should tell him," he said.

Her heart started to race again. "Okay, I'll call you later," she said, hanging up.

"Maybe he really likes me. Oh my god. What do I do?"

(After a while...)

"Okay, I decided. I will tell him when I see him on Monday that I like him straight to his face," she said with resolve.

Her mother, eavesdropping outside her door, chimed in, "Yes, honey, go for it. He's yours."

Gwen stood in her room, dumbfounded.
