You Should Pay for Your Sins!

Not much time had passed since Charles woke up.

He was moving more quickly through the streets. However, today's streets seemed strangely livelier; there were more people than usual, and many of them were families out shopping and enjoying themselves.

Charles found it difficult to move more quickly; he wanted to go to the inn as soon as possible but was unable to do so due to the crowds of people.

As he was reaching the inn, someone bumped into him. Just like Charles, the guy was also in a hurry. He was about to apologize, but when he saw the face of the man he bumped into, his expression changed,

The guy was around Charles's age, He was average-looking, with brown hair and eyes, wearing a light armour, covering his chest.

This guy was present at the scene when Vex was dragging Lita to his room. He wanted to step ahead and help her but fearing about his future he did not. Out of guilt, he dashed out of the inn, trying to find Charles.

Why did he want to find Charles? because Charles was favoured by that monster. And that means he at least had some capabilities.

"I am sor-" Charles was interrupted by the latter grabbing his hands, "Charles your girlfriend... Your girlfriend." the man was out of breath.

"My girlfriend?" Charles muttered, 'When did I get a girlfriend?'

The latter took a deep breath and started explaining about the incident. Charles who had a questioning expression a second earlier, became enlarged. His eyes turned bloodshot red, he gripped his fist hard, fingernails dug into his palm, and blood started coming out.

If it was someone else, he may not be this angry but it was Lita.

He didn't wait and dashed towards the inn with full might, he didn't know if it was an effect of his emotion, but he became very fast.

*Ring

Christina entered the inn. But the people inside the inn were silent. It was odd because this time around they would be drinking and sharing their stories. Christina also found this odd, she then looked around to find Lita, but Lita was nowhere to be seen. She then noticed the people's gaze, they were staring at room 04 with guilt on their faces.

She then heard Lita's scream and immediately knew what was happening. She sprinted towards the room and...

*DANG

Christina was standing at the door of Room 04, which had been flung open. She wanted to beat the purple-haired lad to death, but she couldn't, not even the words "AH... Umm..." came out of her mouth, she was in a state of anguish.

Vex was just about to undress Lita but someone interrupted his fun. How can he be calm, He was irritated, his nostrils flared, and his face rigid, "Do you, commoner, not know fear?" He said violently, "First this bitch and now you!!!''

He stood up from the bed, and stared at Christina who was still in a daze, "Who do you think you are?'' The purple-haired boy said, walking in front of Christina.

"I' ...i am the landlord's daughter,''

''I don't fucking care," he said raising his hand to slap her, Christina closed her eyes subconsciously seeing him raise his hand and the next second ...

*Clunk

Charles came storming in, kicking the purple-haired lad in the face. Vex was unable to react as he collided with the wall, creating a crack in it.

Christina was relieved to see Charles. Lita was also relieved, seeing Charles come to her rescue. A second later she started crying, tears started flowing from her eyes like a fountain. She could not contain herself. She hugged Charles tightly fearing he would leave.

Charles's face darkened, he was angry to the point where steam was coming out from his ear.

The purple hair boy stood up, preserving his cheek that was swollen from Charles's kick. "Bastard! how dare you...'' Vex suddenly felt an oppressing aura, he was not the only one who was feeling it; all the people within the inn felt a suffocating aura.

Vex instinctively took a few steps backwards, swallowing his saliva. His heart pounded, his head spun and his eyes saw nothing but a dark aura coming from Charles.

As Charles took a step forward, the aura became more suffocating, and his butterfly rose, "D-don't come near me." he raised both his hands gesturing him to stop. "Do you know who I— AHHHH!!!" Charles bent his right hand in an unnatural angle

Vex collapsed to the ground screaming while holding his injured hand. But Charles did not stop.

"Sto— AHHHH!!!"

"I am so— AHHHH!!!"

All of his limbs were bent at an unnatural angle, and all the people watching the scene were horrified, they could not bear to watch this much cruelty, and many of them wanted to throw up.

Charles finally came to a stop seeing Vex half dead. He did not kill him because he was a nobleman. If Charles had murdered him, the empire would surely not turn a blind eye. He was not worried for himself, but for those close to him; he had no intention of creating problems for Mrs Pumpury or Lita.

He took out a healing potion and fed it to the unconscious Vex. He turned around to look. Everyone who was looking at Charles, felt a chill, they quickly left the commotion. Lita and Christina were also terrified but came out of the daze seeing Charles looking at them. Lita hugged Charles, she started crying again. Seeing the situation, Christina dragged Vex's body with her out of the room.

"I... I was so afraid... I thought..."Charles shooshed her with his finger over her lips. He then drew her head to his chest, comforting her. Lita didn't resist, feeling his heartbeat, she felt reassured. Charles had a unique aura which made her feel at ease.
