Chapter 7: A name for useless system

(Hiro's POV)

After the escape from the Tower of Heaven, many were left without any means to move out. Tower of Heaven is connected with several islands near the Caelum Kingdom, south of Fiore.

Thankfully, I didn't have to do much as most of the adults were natives of surrounding areas so they took most of the children and women with them.

I was only left to take care of Erza and her friends; Jellal, Shô, Simon, and Millianna. I vaguely remember other children who were also the victims of Tower of Heaven arc but there was nothing I could do.

I am only taking care of them since they were related to the main cast. Jellal was closed with Erza, Simon had a cute Japanese sister and Millianna would join Mermaid Heel. As for Sho, I remember he had cool card-type magic but currently he was closer to Jellal so he was sticking with him.

I planned to make sure that they don't become ruthless murderers since they had seen me massacring the cult mages.

Even if the story folds like in anime, I am fine with it. The last thing I want for them is to form a group of mercenaries and start hunting dark mages.

My mission is also completed.

Before she could spout more nonsense I switched off the AI communication system. Thank goodness the system isn't in hands of this useless AI.

"Hiro-sama, what's wrong? Do you want Millianna to give you a massage?!" It was brown-haired twerp who broke the awful silence.

Among all the children, she was very clingy to me.

Although her tune was simple and innocent at first glance, I could see a glint of smirk directed towards Erza whose body was emitting crimson aura and also bloodlust for some reason.

We were on a boat towards Fiore where we have to find Magnolia Town and then Fairy Tail subsequently. Since I was already on my way towards Fairy Tail for Erza to join the guild and look for pink head baba to cure Jellal's fever.

"Hiro-sama… I still want to pay you..." It was Jellal who gained his consciousness but still shivering with fever and lying under my coat to keep his body warm.

I chuckled and pat his head, "Well the best thing you could do is to become respectable mages in the future. Join a guild or any reputable organization to make and live your life with honor. Even if mistakes were made or sins are committed, atone for them if you are alive. Important of all, make sure to cherish your friends no matter how far you are apart."

Friendship or the power of love was the main ingredient of this world's lore. It will also stop them from leaping towards an evil mindset.

All of them smiled and nodded.

Soon we reached the port of Hargeon Town. I was excited to meet the famous short pie of the guild.
