Angel Lady

"Hmph," Obito snorted and said in a deep voice, "Don't be too arrogant."

"This isn't arrogance; it's confidence," Kaguya smiled slightly, extending her index finger and waving it.

Obito's crimson Sharingan glanced at Kaguya, and he said no more. The space around his eyes gradually distorted, and his body began to disappear into thin air.

In another dimension, Obito fell into deep thought. His instincts told him that there was something strange about this girl, though he couldn't pinpoint exactly what. But as long as she hindered his plans, he would mercilessly eliminate her. In the face of his perfect new world, any person or thing was insignificant.

A cold glint flashed in Obito's eyes.

Kaguya frowned as she watched Obito disappear. Obito's constant distrust and shadowing were very annoying. But for now, she couldn't kill him, or rather, she didn't yet have the ability to kill him. His space-time abilities were particularly troublesome, and he had another Sharingan to use Izanagi, giving him three minutes to escape.

Once Kaguya awakened her own space-time abilities or gained the Rinnegan, Obito would have nowhere to run.

"Kaguya."

As Kaguya was lost in thought, a familiar voice came from behind her.

Kaguya turned quickly, her face lighting up with joy, and she rushed forward to hug the girl in front of her. "Konan-nee!"

The girl in front of her was none other than Konan, whom she had parted ways with recently.

"Don't be silly," Konan lightly flicked Kaguya's forehead, pushing her away and holding her by the shoulders, looking her up and down. "You're not hurt, are you?"

"I'm hurt," Kaguya said, wrinkling her delicate little face.

"What happened?" Konan asked anxiously. "Where are you hurt? Could it be..."

"My heart is hurt," Kaguya grinned, extending her mischievous hand to Konan's chest. "Only kisses and hugs can heal it."

"Stop being silly," Konan smacked Kaguya's hand away. "Really, nothing happened?"

"No, nothing happened," Kaguya pouted. "Just an old man."

"Don't be careless," Konan said seriously. "Being careless will eventually get you into trouble."

"Got it, got it," Kaguya said helplessly. "I'm not a child anymore, so stop lecturing me."

"I have to remind you constantly so you remember. You're different from others. You have great power, but you're too proud. That's very dangerous," Konan gently stroked Kaguya's silver hair.

"Mm," Kaguya didn't argue, feeling a bit moved. Only someone who truly cared would bother to nag.

Just then, a deafening explosion sounded in the distance. A massive mushroom cloud rose into the sky, its dazzling light outshining even the sun. Ten seconds later, the shockwave and air blast rolled in, instantly destroying tall trees, scattering wood chips, and filling the air with dust.

Kaguya jumped in front of Konan, raised her hand, and formed a gravitational shield in her palm, blocking the incoming blast.

Konan gazed at the distant mushroom cloud thoughtfully.

Kaguya seemed to realize something. Only Deidara could cause such a massive explosion. Given the power of the blast, it must have been his self-destruction. Whoever forced Deidara to self-destruct must have been a formidable opponent, but it was unclear who it was. Regardless, Deidara was now likely reduced to dust.

"Let's go," Konan took Kaguya's hand.

"Mm," Kaguya nodded gently. The two walked away together.

The Land of Rain is situated in the central part of the continent, bordered by the Lands of Earth, Fire, and Wind. Historically, it has been a battleground for many wars. Most of the major ninja world wars have been fought there. Fortunately, there are some smaller countries around the Land of Rain, serving as a buffer zone to prevent direct confrontations.

The Land of Rain experiences rain throughout the year, with rare dry spells, making it perpetually damp and cold. The sky is usually covered with dark clouds, and it is seldom possible to see blue skies and sunlight.

Upon entering the Land of Rain, the scenery changed abruptly. The sky was overcast, and rain drizzled down, splashing on the ground and creating small puddles. A gentle breeze carried droplets of water, bringing a chill to the air.

Perhaps due to the peculiar climate, Kaguya's mood grew somber with the rain, inexplicably sinking into a melancholic state.

"Stop, please show your identification," two Rain ninja guarding the entrance approached, holding kunai, ready for battle. Given the central location of the country and its numerous enemies, fights were frequent, and vigilance was crucial.

"It's me," Konan removed the hood of her raincoat, revealing her elegant face. Kaguya followed suit, removing her hood as well. This was a rule in the Land of Rain, meant to enhance security; no one was exempt, not even Konan. Failure to reveal one's identity could allow enemies to exploit this loophole to infiltrate the country.

As a war-torn nation, such vigilance was essential to avoid sudden attacks.

"It's the Angel."

"Welcome back, Angel."

Konan nodded to the guards, and she and Kaguya passed through the checkpoint, walking into the Land of Rain.

"Did you see? It's the Angel, and there are two of them."

"I'm not blind, of course I saw."

"It's so exciting to see the Angel up close."

"Thanks to the Angel, we have peace here."

"Yes, I will pray to the gods at home to protect the Angels."

"Are you stupid? The Angel is the god."

"That's true."

Not far from the checkpoint, a figure hid in the bushes, peering through the leaves at the two girls' backs, muttering to himself, "The Angel, huh?"
