Ch. 130

Xyrus just kept on casually dodging all of the Marines attacks.

Swords, bullets, and some weird abilities were thrown at him, but he could perceive it all.

Although he was only here to move his body, but he was disappointed at the Marines. He thought he would atleast feel pressure fighting them.

Suddenly, something alarmed Xyrus on his head, so he tilted his head just in time to dodge a huge fist passing on his cheek.

"Face me, boy!" Garp said as he delivered an uppercut on Xyrus.

Xyrus was impressed by this, he could estimate that this old man's punch is atleast equivalent to a dragon king's force back in his homeworld.

"Impressive." Xyrus nodded in approvement before blocking his fist with one hand.

"Huh?" Garp was confused, he wasn't even holding back and used his full strength, wanting to see the limits of the guy in front of him, but it looks like his limit is far more than he imagined.

"You're very strong. Tell me, why would you bother to protect those scums?" According to the memories that he absorbed before he got here, it was the Marines who were protecting the Celestial Dragons and the reason why no one could retaliate them.

Garp's face dimmed a little when he heard Xyrus's words, he knew that he was referring to those Celestial Dragons, even he was disgusted by them, but what can he do? His heart is full of justice, and besides, he's already old and making enemies with the World Government is tantamount to suicide.

"How do you know about that, have you also encountered them?" Garp asked as he knew that there are some people who became pirates because of the Celestial Dragon.

"You're right, and what I saw disgusted me." Xyrus answered before delivering a kick towards his chest.

Garp was fast enough to react but not strong enough to resist, so he was thrown back.

"What?!" Seeing Garp being slammed on the wall next to him, not only shocked Sengoku but all the participating pirates and marines.

"How is that possible?" Aokiji squinted his eyes at Xyrus, he knew how strong Garp is and seeing him getting thrown like that reduces the hope of winning this war.

"You're a good man, I don't want to kill you so don't get in my way, it would even be better if you retired now." Xyrus said while his eyes glowed.

Garp, seeing this, sighed and closed his eyes, pretending to be unconscious.

"Garp!!" Ofcourse, this deed wasn't unnoticed by Sengoku and when he saw that Garp didn't want to participate anymore and pretended to be unconscious, he can't help but scream and scratch his head in irritation.

Xyrus chuckled at this, he just wanted to test their strengths and he was both satisfied and disappointed.

Anyways, his goal is done, he could now just sit back and watch the events unfold on front of him.

But, as if the fate wanted him to interfere, Akainu came back with an angry face and most of his body is now covered in magma.

Due to this, Marines and Pirates stayed far away from them, and some Marines even died under the intense heat brought by his surging Magma.

"This guy..." Sengoku's eyes twitched as he saw some Marines dying by some stray magmas.

Akainu can't even control his powers fully, to differentiate an ally and a foe.

Meanwhile, while Whitebeard was watching all this, he sensed one of his son, Squard, walking close to him with his knife unsheathed.

Sensing what he was about to do, Whitebeard sighed and immediately stepped aside, just in time to avoid Skuard's sneak attack.

"Squard.... Why?" Whitebeard asked him, with pain-filled on his voice.

Squard didn't even managed to explain on why he betrayed when Marco came flying in filled with unyielding rage.

"Squard!!!!" Marco came down and immediately slammed Squard on the ground.

"Why! Why did you do that?! Answer me!" Marco gritted his teeth in rage as he pressed Squard on the ground more deeply.

"S-shut up! You guys made me do it!" Squard painfully said.

"What do you mean? Do you know what you've done?!" Marco didn't but his excuses as it just made him more angry.

"It's fine Marco, let him go." Whitebeard, despite managing to dodge the stab, the pain of betrayal is enough to hurt him.

"But Pops-" Marco was reluctant to follow.

"Don't worry, Marco." Xyrus came in and stood beside Whitebeard.

"[Mental Heal]" Xyrus came in and healed Whitebeard mentally, to ease the pain of betrayal in his heart.

"Aren't you-?" Marco was confused as he knew that Xyrus was busy fighting with Akainu earlier.

"If you're thinking of Akainu, then he's right there." Xyrus said and pointed at the place where Akainu and he fought.

However, what's very weird was Akainu was punching and kicking the air in front of him, as if he was fighting someone.

"I'll let him play with air for a while." Xyrus chuckled.

After finally having a space to breathe, Squard yelled.

"Stop perpetrating this farce anymore, Whitebeard!"

"I know about your deal with the navy! You have their reassurance that Whitebeards and Ace will remain safe."

Squard stood up and continued.

"You've never told me that Ace is the son of that hateful Gold Roger!" Squard then continued to rant until it came to the point where he finally told him that Akainu approached him and told him that Whitebeard was selling his allies out.

"Fool! You've been deceived, Squard! You couldn't trust Pops?!" Marco ran and gripped his collar tightly.

However, before Squard could answer back, he slowly fell asleep which confused Marco and everyone watching the scene.

"Let's finish this war first and handle him later after." Xyrus stepped forward and said, showing that he was the one who made Squard fall asleep.

Marco dropped Squard's body on the ground and gritted his teeth before jumping down from the ship and joined the battle once again.

Meanwhile, Whitebeard thanked Xyrus for healing him while giving Squard one last look before finally deciding to join the war himself.

He jumped down from the Moby Dick and formed a small crater when he landed on the ground.

"I-it's Whitebeard! He's finally joining!" One of the Marines yelled in surprise and fear.

With Whitebeard finally joining the War, this war is soon about to end.
