Ch. 113

Inside his room, Xyrus was staring at the book in his hand and the glowing white orb floating on his other hand.

"I should do this right? There should be a manual for this." Xyrus joked as he carefully placed the white glowing orb at the first slot starting from the left.

When the white orb was close to the slot, it seems as if there was a strong magnet pulling the white orb in and when Xyrus let go, the orb fitted in completely.

Soon after, the book glowed in white color before dissipating as if it never exists.

"I should be able to open it now?" Xyrus then went on and opened the first page of the book and saw that he could finally see its contents.

"Finally, let's see..."

After flipping the cover, he was finally on the first page and saw some words inscribed into it.

"[The Creation of the universe wasn't caused by the Big Bang nor by the Supreme beings. Instead, it was caused due to a war that happened before the creation of the first universe.]" As Xyrus read more, he realized that this book isn't something he is expecting it to be.

Instead, it is the journal of the first Chosen One, sharing the knowledge that he has learned ever since he was chosen.

He explains about the creation of the first universe and the Great War that resounded across the Void. The Void is something beyond the Omniverse.

According to the Chosen One, before the birth of The Heavenly System, there exists the Void where there is nothing. Like literally nothing, there's no concept of time, space, reality and all other concepts. It's just empty.

The birth of the Heavenly System was still unknown as even the Heavenly System itself has stated that the concept of birth didn't even exist in the Void, so there's no explanation on how the Heavenly System was created.

"Looks like the First Chosen One is the Heavenly System's favourite. It's like it is treating him like its own child." The more Xyrus read, the more he was fascinated by the mystery around the Omniverse slowly unfolding itself by this book that he is holding.

Soon, he finally came to an end where the First Chosen One has decided to back down from the fight with Azathoth and decided to have a family back in his world, the Marvel Universe.

He stated that he wanted to have a family and it was always his dream, but due to unexpected turns, he became the first Chosen One.

The Heavenly System didn't even care about his decision and in fact, helped him hide his presence in his universe. Thanks to that, Azathoth or any other Gods haven't managed to find him, making him a mystery.

The last message he wrote was, [Whoever shall hold the title of the Chosen One. I wish you luck in your incoming journey.]

He tried to open the next page but was resulted with nothing, so he didn't pursue it that much.

Although the Tome didn't increase his strength or something, but he acquired something much more valuable than just an increase of Strength.

Knowledge.

Others might find it useless when it comes to absolute strength, but there is no absolute. Even the Heavenly System doesn't have absolute strength.

After all, if this System has it, then why are the Outer Gods still living and raining destruction in their wake.

But knowledge, they're different. Knowledge is infinite, because there's literally infinite amounts of universes, which means that there might be some knowledges there that doesn't exist in other universe.

For example, the Overlord Tier Magic knowledge that doesn't exist in this universe but it exists in another universe. This proves that Knowledge is infinite.

"Is this all?" Xyrus tried to find some more functions from the Tome but to no avail, it just gave him some important knowledge.

[If I may, sensei?]

"What is it, Alfred?"

[You might not know this, but because you have acquired the soul of the Chosen One, the tome allows you to borrow the power of the First Chosen One temporarily. The same can be said if you gather other souls from the Chosen Ones.]

"Really? But there should be a limit right?"

[Yes. This is only a one time use per soul of the Chosen One.]

"That's a bit disappointing but I can't be too greedy, so I'm satisfied with just this. Anyways, so whenever I'm in a tight situation, I could borrow their powers temporarily." Xyrus could already analyze on how would he use the function to his advantage in the future.

"I wonder if I died, would there be another slot for my soul?"

[Yes, sensei.]

Since Xyrus already got one soul, there are only four left to go, before he would finally finish the war that started billions of millenias ago.

Xyrus hid the Tome back to his personal space before getting a call from the Sorcerer earlier that Akeno has already woken up.

"How are you?" Xyrus went in and asked Akeno directly.

"I'm fine master. Just a bit groggy." Akeno scratches the back of her head as she chuckled.

"You almost died there."

"Yes. I failed the mission, didn't I? After all, I'm supposed to finish this mission quietly, but now it probably got the attention of the public." Akeno kept her head down as she contemplated on her actions earlier.

She should have checked the surroundings first instead of going for the kill as soon as she saw her target.

"You didn't fail the mission. In fact, this could be a good event to show that even those who are protected by the church aren't safe from our cleaning." Xyrus said as he patted her head.

"You should get some rest, I'll be meeting up with someone."

Akeno nodded her head and laid back down on the bed. She's not yet fully recovered as her mana are still empty and she would probably won't be able to use mana for the whole day.

"I already know why you are here. You want some explanation, right?" Xyrus talked to a blonde haired man in front of him.

"There's no need to, Ancient One. I've already investigated and was shocked to know that they're using the church to hide themselves. I promise you that as long as you don't endanger the lives of the innocent, then we'll stay out of your way." Michael said.

"That's good to hear. I only need 1 week to finish this Khaos Brigade. I could have done it earlier but I wanted to show the world that my faction doesn't only rely on me, but on the masters and students as well."
