Found it!

Farhat slowly let go of Gaby's shirt, tiptoed to the library door and placed a ear on it.

"I can't hear anymore noises outside"he told Gaby via telepathy.

Gaby went over to the door and opened it wondering why his spell hadn't worked. He had put an alerting spell around the vicinity.

If a Demon were to come by,the tattoo on his fingers would alert him,or had lord hart noticed this and countered it?

He placed an index finger on his lips, montioning for Farhat to be silent then he slowly walked down the spiral staircase, trying to make his every step as light as he could.

Farhat followed his lead from behind,as he gripped the stairway railing, his chest heaving with widened eyes and praying deeply within him it wasn't his uncle or he would be done for.

His friend's annoying statement had slipped off his mind leaving behind various ravaging thoughts of what would happen if his uncle was in.

He was punished to clean up his uncle's chambers, notwithstanding the library still held their scent and they hadn't found a way to erase it off yet neither had they found a way to replace the lock spell.

They were done for.

Having gone through the stairway there was still no demonic scent but rather Farhat smelt a creature's familiar scent.

When left the stairs they spotted the tumbled bucket in the lobby, even the mobstick had fallen over.

Just then their ears caught the noise of a faint sound of someone brushing against a surface.

Both young demons placed a hand on their heaving chest and followed it,their eyes barely blinking as they took one steady step after another, tiptoing halfway till they reached a half open wooden door

Farhat positioned himself to open it and gripped the handle then he motioned for Gaby to stay on the other end and told him through telepathy.

"If it's my uncle you quickly go upstairs and try to fix things while I stay and hold him back"

Farhat slowly opened the door then his eyes sighted the cause of the noise.

His uncle's black cat that rarely meowed was busy brushing it's feet and body against the wall.He had almost forgotten his uncle had one and this cat never leaves his chambers,he had only seen it once.

Farhat turned to Gaby.

"It's puco,my uncle's cat".

Gaby sighed heavily and opened the door widely now.

"Goodness gracious he scared the hell out of us... Farhat howbeit you didn't know about your uncle's pet?"Gaby asked out loud.

"Puco is rarely seen at uncle's chambers and I rarely even come here as well".

The cat held Gaby's gaze for a moment as well as the unceasant motion of his feet and body against the wall.

"What's it doing?"

"I don't know".

"It looks like it's trying to get in,maybe it smelled something.

Gaby knelt down and placed his nose closer to the wall then he sniffed on it.

"I don't smell anything"he turned to Farhat"but I still get the feeling he is trying to get in".

"What?into a wall?"

"Maybe this isn't an ordinary wall".Gaby said as he pressed his hands on each brick on the red brick wall. When nothing unusual happened Gaby sighed and stood up.

He leaned against the wall and suddenly the wall pushed backwards, then sideways to reveal an old black door.

Gaby looked at Farhat triumphantly.

"A secret room... told you!"he said in a voice filled with glee.

"Gaby... we can't go in there"

"You don't have to,you can stay here and be on the look out".the young demon replied as he took out the lock picker from his bag and began working his way through the lock.

Then he opened the door and went in but Farhat immediately slipped in behind him along with the black cat.

Gaby gave his friend head pat then lit a small flame in his hand to brighten up their own portion of their darkened surroundings.

They followed the cat from behind as he took different turns,as though it knew exactly where he was going.

The cat stopped at an old brown door.

Gaby turned the door knob,it was locked.

He used the lock picker again then he opened it.

This room was slightly illuminated with green flames on old candle stands which hung on the walls.

Their eyes darted all over the place, filled with gold and different treasures gathered to various corners in heaps.

"Wow!your uncle is this rich!"

"Why do you marvel?as a Royal sorceror who has served the empire for many years, even the reign of two emperors, what do you expect".

Gaby trailed after the cat,his eyes diverting every moment to cast a glance at the precious stones around him.

He stopped when the cat stopped and watched as it began to chew on a bundle of green grass.

Gaby stooped low and sniffed,it had no smell.

He pulled out a branch and turned to Farhat who was a few paces away

"Farhat why does this plant have no scent...all plants scent right?"

Farhat came over, collected the plant and sniffed it.

"Must be fripju lily..."

"Why would Lord Hart have so many and what is does he use it for?"

"I heard many criminals and offeners use it to mask their scent but it's also used for healing and the cat seems to like it".Farhat said as he threw the branch in front of the plant heap.

"We both know all royal sorcerors are master healers".

"This still doesn't prove anything,he could have gotten it for his cat or maybe...maybe some potion of some sort_"

"This much plant for a cat?"

"For a potion..."

"How are you so certain?I'll have to ask her ladyship if this can be used for any potion".

"Where are you going with this?"

"What if...just what if lord hart has something to do with the Empress's death".

"You are insane!"Farhat shot at him then he picked up the cat and walked in the other direction.

"Actually I thought you were a bit insane but I think your insanity has progressed even further".

Gaby followed quickly after him.

"I don't mean to get you upset Farhat but just maybe_"

"There are no maybes for something impossible...Lord hart has been loyal to the empire and speaks highly of the emperor, there is no way he had a hand in that".

"Ok then what If..."

"Then I'll give you anything you ask of me, anything even exam answers even if I might be caught because I know it's not possible so I won't be caught".

Gaby grinned satisfied by the offer.

"Then we have a deal".

Farhat didn't respond,just walked on.

Then left the secret room and walked upstairs, back to the library with neither of them uttering any word to each other.

When they arrived,Gaby went over the table and picked up the history book.

He didn't notice Farhat was watching him neither did he realize the same smile never left his face.

"What's with that weird grin?"a piqued Farhat questioned.

Gaby didn't look his way but the smile disappeared.

"Nothing farhat...let's quickly get this over with before you uncle gets back".

Gaby flipped a few pages over as he quickly scanned through them...then he paused at a page which held a major content he had been curious about.

'...when Sinn and shin left the human world they took along animals and the kept smuggling them in till they were caught ..the animals in Delvin are the same with the animals in the human world except these ones have mutated by breathing in demonic air and have been infused with the demonic aura and energy surrounding Delvin'.

"Sinn and shin were the first demons".

"They were the first to perform the ritual and become demons until a few other humans joined them..."Farhat waved him off"Read on and stop distracting me".

Gaby read on.

'...There are three kinds of demons, the spirits, semonio and savages. The spirits include both spirit guards and the few habitat spirits of the unclean realm, unusual demons created from the evil feelings of semonio, beings infused with..."

Gaby skipped that part and his eyes settled on the subtopic his heart yearned after after spotting the word.

'The unclean realm'

'The unclean realm, the spiritual fraction of delvin is located in Urah and it's portal can only be opened by the emperor or his bloodline. An assumed empty world filed with demon spirits, unusual demons unlike any ever seen or spoken off.Though usually not infused with spiritual energy for magical abilities, the species differ.

A world which must not be ventured into, for the sermonio had never coexisted with the spirits, except spirit guards,a life long companion of the sermonio, wandering spirits which reside in the physical realm of delvin. The spirit guards are spirits who had lost their way with even their origin unknown to them, only these spirits coexisted with the sermonio, though it is said that in coming days, these spirits would find their way back and only those with genuine feelings and love for their masters would forever choose to remain with them'.

"Wow!"Gaby exclaimed out loud and Farhat raised a brow.

"Sorry..."he pleaded and quickly brought out his quil pen which he used in jotting what he had just read.

'...filled with evil and unwelcoming spirits, the unclean realm is a world which must never be ventured into.

Centuries ago, after Res,the prince and son of the sixth king of Delvin never returned from the unclean realm,no demon has ever been recorded opening the portal to the unclean realm'.

Gaby wrote this down, wrote down some other points and dropped the book then he went over to the bookshelf to continue his search.

When Gaby found a record book at the top of a tall bookshelf,he opened it and flipped through the pages.

He sighed when he didn't find any information on dark.

Then he took out the next one and his hand stopped it's motion when he sighted the name'Dark'written with black ink.

He climbed down the ladder, went over the desk then he pened down every information written about him.

"Farhat we got what we needed let's leave now".he called out.

Farhat appeared from a bookshelf which stood further away carrying a book.

"Drop it for now... please we have spent enough time here already. How do we mask our scent here?"

Gaby asked as he took out a branch of fripju lily.

Farhat grinned and walked towards him.

"You have just what we need".

He collected the plant then replaced the book back in the shelf.

With the plant Farhat muttered a few words then a pink magic circle appeared in front of him as the leaves of the plant began fading away till the plant completely faded out of sight.

"You do know a spell I don't know after all". Gaby grinned from outside the open libary door.

"I once read about it here but I am not even sure it even worked".Farhat said dispiritedly as walked out of the door.

After Gaby had locked the door with the lock picker he placed the lock spell.

"We make a good team don't you think?"Gaby asked from a half grin. The other demon turned from over his shoulder and smiled back at his friend.

"And you make a good burglar".

After alighting the stairs Gaby taught Farhat the cleaning spell as promised and they both used it simultaneously, making them clean faster though expending a lot of energy.

Just when Lord harts scent came into their field of smell,Gaby cast a spell and they both vanished with a playful giggle.
