Dilemma - Collection of Oneshots [BxB|18+]

This book consists of one-shots that I write. Just an idea that suddenly emerges like a sprout in my brain. Be careful though, although they are short, some of them are quite disturbing. So read at your own risk! Do not justify and do the bad behaviours that are portrayed in the story! . Each chapter is unrelated to each other and only around 1k word counts (for now.) Might be expanding one of them to make another book (when I'm done with the other ones of course.) . Hope you enjoy them :) . . [Warning, This book is rated Mature. It will contain multiple disturbing, dark, and sensitive contents. Please do not proceed with reading if you are easily triggered or underage.]

I still remember what happened on that day clearly. The incident keeps on replaying in my mind like a broken record. It's annoying at first. But as you get used to it, you will feel nothing at all. The longer you remember it, the more numb your feelings towards it.

The feel is similar to when you overwatch a horror movie. You keep on repeating the same storyline, the same scenes over and over again. After a while, you won't be scared when the ghost or tense scenarios come out. You won't feel bad if the character passed away. Nothing really frightens you because you already know what's going to happen afterwards.

It was a very quiet day, accompanied by the sound of the rain. The event happened in the morning. I don't exactly remember the correct time, probably 6 or 7 am. There were no people around, no cars went by because the location was fairly secluded. The long and curvy road was located at the edge of a cliff. It is very well known to be quite steep and dangerous, therefore not many people pass that road. Now that I think about it, the road looks kind of funny to me. The curves and dents follow the shape of the cliff like a flat grey snake. A long noodle-like creature without a head or a tail to end its body. The road has a very eerie atmosphere, especially that day. The rough waves underneath the cliff don't help on how hazardous the place looks. Lots of people lost their lives there, diving directly to the raging sea.

The sky was very cloudy, creating a grey ambience around me, with sometimes lights flickered in between the clouds. The tiny droplets of rain bit my pale skin with its sharp fall and coldness. It felt like a thousand needles stabbed my body. But I remember that I didn't mind the pain. In fact, I appreciated it.

I was maybe 8 or 9 when that happened. I still remember that my small body was sitting on the pavement, at the sidewalk on the outer side of the road. My eyes squinted as I tried to avoid the rain seeps into my orbs. You can see the beautiful scenery of the ocean from there if the weather is fine of course. But I guess that day wasn't my lucky day. The dark sky turned to a lighter grey with the rain still painfully hit my frail body. The sky mocks me with its light, Indicated that the day still continues, not minding what happened in front of me.

There, I saw two figures standing at the stone fence of the road. At the right side was a woman with short, bob hair wearing a knee-length black dress with sleeves that reach to her forearm. She didn't wear any shoes because she took it off earlier before she stood there. Beside her, was a man with a simple white shirt tucked neatly into a pair of black pants. He also didn't wear his shoes as he does the same thing with them as the woman beside him. Both of them drenched from head to toe.

Both of them were stood there, hand in hand, while looking underneath the cliff. The sea was monstrous that day. The usual teal blue ocean turns into a dusty dark blue of some kind. The waves were very rough, They were hitting the cliff harder than usual. I couldn't see what expression they have on their face, since they stood with their back facing me.

They're in their 30s, I knew this because I was actually very familiar with them. I saw them literally every day in my whole 8 or 9 years of early life. We live in the same house that was not far from that place. They're very weird in my opinion. Sometimes, both of them looked happy at one time, looking at each other lovingly without minding their surroundings. Then suddenly they will yell at each other like there's no tomorrow. Broken pieces of furniture, plates, and glasses always decorate the place. It's really amazed me until now on how I can live in such a messed up place.

I still remember how horrified I was when I look at the scene in front of me. They seem to be talking to each other. No matter how hard I screamed, they don't even look back at me once. They just continue talking to each other in a small voice that I can't hear. The rain didn't help as it muffled both their voice and mine.

I continue to desperately call for them. But they seemed to not mind me who was screaming at the top of my lungs. I can even felt my vocal cords were restrained because of the force I use.

Finally, after what it felt like an eternity, both of them turned and looked at me. They showed a smile on their solemn face, it was so creepy that it stopped me from continuing to call them. There's no happy emotion showed on the smile. It was just plain creepy.

Their face looked at me as they were mocking my existence.

Then, the expected thing happens. Both of them turned their head back ahead and leaned their body towards the ocean. At first, they seemed to be flying when actually what happened was the opposite. I saw how her dress flowed heavily following the shape of the breeze, how her hair that once neat got messed up by the wind. How her soles tiptoed when she jumped. I remembered that I just continuously stared at her, recording every moment of her with my eyes.

One second, they were there stood on the stone fence. The next thing when I blinked, they were just gone. They live me there alone, watching all of it happened. At first, I thought they will just pop back from the other side of the fence and smile back at me. Said it was all a big fat horrifying joke.

But turned out, It wasn't. They never reappeared in front of me. They left me there, sitting at the pavement, stunned looking at the now empty space where they once stood.

That's the story of how I became alone in this world.
