65 Fear

"Hey, what is your name?" Suzuki nearly choked on his tea when he heard Satsuki ask Grayfia a question while she was refilling his teacup.

"What are you doing?" Yuuya asked first before Suzuki could.

"I was just curious," Satsuki said looking at Yuuya, He was quite annoyed by Yuuya and he wasn't trying to hide it.

"Is that why you have been looking at her?" Yuuya inquired.

"I was simply admiring her beauty, I haven't seen someone like her ever," Satsuki said with a slimy smile.

Suzuki and Sonoko could see the mood drop to a whole new level, Yuuya's face didn't change but Grayfia was actually frowning. She seemed angered which was more apparent given how she hasn't reacted till now.

"Although I do agree with your statement, It would be better for you to not admire her any further, unless you want to me pickle your eyes inside the teacup you're holding," Yuuya warned Satsuki without as much as a change on his face.

'We're done,' Suzuki could feel it, it wasn't empty words rather Yuuya meant what he said. His flat look and tone actually made him even more intimidating even if they knew how young he actually was.

The reason Yuuya hadn't said anything till now was that Grayfia didn't show any reaction to it. As beautiful as Grayfia was, he thought she was used to such gazes. She clearly ignored them when they went shopping last time.

So he thought it was fine, but then she clearly showed didn't like when her name was asked which is why he intervened. Yuuya didn't expect Grayfia to frown since she keeps her straight face while working during the day.

'But I guess, such a thing is ought to anger even Grayfia if it is done so brazenly,' Yuuya thought as Satsuki stood up with an angered look.

"You bastard, Do you have any idea who I am?"

By the time Suzuki came out of his shocked state the damage was done.

"Your name is Yoki Satsuki, age 21. You are a high school dropout and currently work, or rather, idly pass the time at your father's company, promised a good position in the future since your younger brother is set to inherit the company. In your past, you were a member of a biker gang in Yokohama during your middle and high school years, remaining with them even after dropping out of school. You have been charged with five counts of assault, two of attempted rape, and one of rape. There are also several other cases of property damage and bullying at school, which is the main reason you dropped out. All of these cases have been discreetly settled through the use of money and connections by your father, Yoki Daisuke. With this information, I would say I know you very well. If you still have doubts, I can continue. Would you like to hear more?" Yuuya looked at the sweating Satsuki in front of him.

"Y-You," Satsuki was shaken, all of it was correct. These cases were resolved under the table which is the reason for his attitude. It didn't matter what he did since his father would save his ass in the end.

But he didn't know how Yuuya was able to dig out everything in just a short hour. Suzuki and Sonoko were shocked to the point of speechlessness.

'H-How does he know this much? Did he investigate beforehand?' Satsuki felt a chill down his spine since there was no way Yuuya would have the time to do that, because even if Yuuya wanted to investigate him.

It won't be easy to find so much in a month considering how much money his father used to cover for him. But here Yuuya uncovered it all in less than an hour.

Yuuya didn't even know that he would be coming, so how can he prepare for it in advance?

"I'll say, be careful of your actions since considering them your medical statement might need to get an update from Kidney deficiency to a cripple with kidney deficiency," Yuuya took a sip of his tea calmly, he realized that he had already spoken too much and didn't plan on saying anything further.

"'Dear Guests' I'll see you to the door," Grayfia spoke to the stunned duo of Satsuki and Suzuki; she got the memo and took action immediately.

Suzuki sighed heavily, they had missed a good deal but it was their own fault and worse of all.

'That young man isn't normal, It is better to not make the situation worse,' Suzuki already had a feeling that wasn't normal given that he was living is such a big house alone and the maid also gave off a sense of professionalism that was hard to ignore.

"Y-You Bas-MMFph," Suzuki quickly covered Satsuki's mouth and dragged him along.

'That maid is dangerous as well,' Suzuki was shivering since Grayfia's eyes were glinting in a dangerous light at the moment.

"I'll be back in a minute Master," Yuuya gave a small nod as Grayfia left the room.

"So, Machida-san shall we continue," Yuuya asked Sonoko who was sitting in front of him.

"Y-Yeah," Sonoko got a little nervous and sat up straight when she saw him stand up.

"I have already done the illustration for these characters," Yuuya walked back with a tablet from his desk and showed it to Sonoko. She quietly took it and checked the illustration and was very impressed by them.

Each and every character looked like she envisioned them while reading, most of them looked even better than she thought.

"There were quite a few illustrators from our company who were eager to work with Tenjou-sensei, But it is a pity I guess," Sonoko shook her head, she had the few illustrations those artists made and was impressed.

'But this is on another level,' Sonoko was even more eager to not let the deal slip up now. The web novel for re: zero was already a hot topic in the community, paired with these visuals it will surely sell like crazy. She was also sure about 'Overlord' won't do any worse than Re: Zero.

Sonoko was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even notice Grayfia walk back inside the room.

"Then what is your offer Machida-san?" Yuuya asked seeing Sonoko had made up her mind.

"19%, this is after the other costs are deducted," Sonoko made her offer.

"Isn't that too much of an increase from before," It was true since Sonoko didn't have a competitor at the moment to sign for the book so there wasn't a need to increase the offer by so much.

"This is very simple, Treating you like a novice author won't be good given the popularity of your first work, and I think we will have a long business relationship so Tenjou-sensei can take this as me showing our company's sincerity," Sonoko stopped for a bit before continuing.

'Well, even if only the two of us(Editors) were called, the way he sent the other one out. It would be quite a mistake to think that I am his last choice,' Sonoko didn't want to lose this deal just because of some assumption.

Yuuya didn't seem to be like a person that was desperate for money given his house and the air around him, The only thing he was lacking was a smile and he would be perfect.

Anyway, It was clear that he was writing as a hobby and was just trying to get the most out of it. But that doesn't mean he'll take on the bullshit like Satsuki thought he would, he can flip the table like what happened with them.

"Also, I am quite scared from what happened earlier so I am being extra careful with this offer," Sonoko smiled a bit seeing Yuuya pause for a bit.

"Machida-san doesn't have much to hide so there is no need to worry," Yuuya spoke before eating some strawberry tart Grayfia brought for him.

"H-Hahaha," Sonoko laughed nervously while looking at Yuuya.

"Leaving the jokes aside," Yuuya wiped his mouth with a towel handed to him by Grayfia before he spoke.

'That didn't sound like a joke Tenjou-sensei, especially what you did a few minutes ago,' Sonoko was screaming internally but was calm on the outside or trying to look calm.

Now she was worried that someone might be keeping an eye on her daily. Sonoko won't really mind if it was Yuuya himself doing it. But there was no he was doing it, and she imagined a sweaty fat guy keeping tabs on her as she go about her daily life.

'Yeah, I think I just unlocked a new phobia I didn't know I had,' Sonoko shivered slightly at the thought.

"I hope we can work for a long time like you said Machida-san," Yuuya said oblivious to Sonoko's thoughts.

'It would be a pain to do this again,' Yuuya didn't want to have a meeting like this again.

"We'll do our best to not let you down Tenjou-sensei," Sonoko brightened up since at least she was able to seal the deal.
