Disappointment
"If you want to, you can join as well Tenjou-kun, I am sure many of the students want you to participate as well," Ichinose said with a smile.
And it was true, a lot of the students did want Yuuya to participate as well, mostly the girls since that way they can have more conversations with him.
Most of the boys didn't want him to be the rep since they'd rather have one of the two beauties than a guy, no matter how good the guy was.
"I am not really a good fit for the role," Yuuya said ignoring the teasing gazes of a few people as they looked at him.
"Hmm? You speak as if you have certain of becoming the representative if you want to," Takagi said as she crossed her arms, it wasn't untrue that Yuuya could win since he is very admired in the class but it didn't sit well with Takagi.
"That is an irrelevant point, I think you two would fit the bill better than me, You Takagi-san seem like a strict person that could help everyone not get into trouble while Ichinose-san is more friendly and can help the students with their problems," Yuuya stated flatly looking at Takagi and Ichinose.
Even if he appears like he isn't paying attention, Yuuya is a keen observer by nature, he is able to find positive qualities of someone very quickly, and the opposite is also possible.
"Hmph, seems like you aren't just all talk," Takagi turned her head to the right flicking her twin tails up, she was impressed that Yuuya was more than just a good-looking guy. He seemed to be paying attention to his classmates at least.
"Thank you for the praise Tenjou-kun I won't break your trust," Ichinose smiled since she could see Yuuya's point. Yuuya might be popular but he knew he wasn't a good fit for the role and him being able to see that himself was really admirable.
Others in the class also had a new sense of respect for Yuuya after this. But they won't ever know that the reason he did this was something else entirely.
"Puuuuaa, I thought I was gonna die," Marin took in a deep breath as she put laid down her head on her hands which were on her desk. And she meant it when she said those words.
Everyone could understand this since Yuuya was holding her mouth for quite some time.
But the reason for that was also different from what it seemed as Marin was blushing heavily which was the reason she covered her face not wanting Yuuya to see it.
"Alright, then is there anyone else?" Takagi asked one last time and another blonde stood up.
"Then I, Ichinose Akira, The Young Noble of Ousei Academy shall partake in this event," A boy stood up and spoke in a pompous manner while flicking up his neck-length golden blonde hair with his hands.
"Sure, then let's decide it with votes," Honami smiled as she passed column small piece of paper on which they can write the name of the one they would like to choose.
"You've already made preparations for this," Takagi seemed impressed even with the frown on her face.
"I was planning on addressing this today but Sawada-sensei did it before me, having a class rep is important after all," Honami smiled as Takagi placed a box on the podium which would be used to collect the votes.
There was no need for them to talk too much as Yuuya had already explained their strong points briefly.
Takagi Saya had a strict appearance and one that would keep the students in check. If she becomes the rep students won't get into trouble and will be able to have a nice school year without any problems from negligence.
Ichinose Honami was cheerful and very friendly to everyone. She seemed like an easy person to approach and talk to. So, students can open up to her if they had any troubles at School or if they needed any help.
And both girls were beautiful to boot, they had top-class figures and cuteness which made them famous among both girls and the boys in this class. They were quite well known even in the other classes of the same year.
As for the young noble, well he wasn't considered at all, it was his bad luck that the opponents were just too strong.
The votes were cast in less than a few minutes as Marin stood in front of the podium since they needed a third party to announce the result.
"Alright, The votes are in and have been counted, So the one who will become the class rep is, Drum roll….." Marin spoke enthusiastically as she hit the podium to create a dramatic effect.
"...Takagi Saya-Chan with 21 votes, Yay," Marin clapped looking at Saya and the whole class clapped including Honami.
"How many votes did this young noble get?" Akira asked after he was done clapping.
"Zero," Marin said as Akira froze in place as he was dealt a fresh dose of Emotional damage.
"So that means…." Honami looked surprised after hearing that.
"Yes, Ichinose Honami-chan got 19 votes, it was a close battle," Marin laughed as Saya crossed her arms with a 'hmph'.
"Congratulations Takagi-san, do ask me if I can help with something," Honami smiled looking at Saya who nodded accepting the notion.
That was how Takagi Saya was made the class rep for 1-C.

After the rep was chosen everyone went their own way, Yuuya was currently on his way to the commercial area with Marin and Grayfia who joined the two after they exited the school building.
Yuuya wanted to go home straight away but it seemed like Marin had told Apophis that they will be looking around school today, so…
'She'll come to pick us up at 6:30,' Yuuya looked at the message on his phone and sighed, there was still more than an hour and a half remaining.
'I'll just look around for today,' Yuuya thought as Marin seemed to be in high spirits as she was practically hopping rather than walking.
But it seemed like she suddenly remembered something as she turned to Yuuya.
"Hey, Yuuya have you perhaps run into Saya-chan at turn knocking her down, and saw her panties by accident before?" Marin asked a question. Grayfia blinked in confusion as the topic just seemed to have come out of nowhere.
"…No," Yuuya said flatly as he didn't even want to know why Marin asked such a specific question.
"Hmm, then why does Saya-chan look at you with such hostility?" Marin asked while rubbing her chin deep in thought.
Yuuya didn't even bother with this.
"Ah, also why did you not want to become the class rep, I think you would've won easily," Marin was unhappy that Yuuya didn't like her idea.
"Then I won't have time (to rest)," Yuuya said flatly before his eyes narrowed seeing Marin's reaction.
'Yes yes, if he becomes the class rep, he won't time (to spend with me), how could I not see that, I am such an idiot, He'll be super busy with all of the students coming to him, Why did I even think that was a good idea at the time?' The blush on Marin's face got prominent as she thought about what happened in the classroom plus the reason that Yuuya did that.
"I see, I'll be more careful," Marin nodded with a new light in her eyes.
"That would be better," Yuuya seemed satisfied as Marin listened properly.
'Something is really off,' Grayfia could feel that Yuuya and Marin weren't on the same page but she kept quiet since Yuuya looked ok with it.
"Alright, let's explore this place," Marin looked excited as they entered the commercial area after exchanging points at the office right before entering the area.
"Don't shout you're attracting attention," Yuuya said flatly.
"Come on Yuuya, when being enthusiastic we should show our spirit, Do it with me, Yahoo," Marin cheered wanting Yuuya to join in but as you'd expect he didn't.
'There are a lot of security cameras here,' Yuuya looked around as they walked towards the mall which was the main attraction of this place.
There were cameras in Ousei as well, but in this area, the numbers have increased drastically, there was no such thing as a blind spot here, this of course doesn't include toilets and changing rooms. But, you get the point, right?
"There is a convenience store as well," Marin looked surprised as she made a run for the store that appeared on the way.
"Why are you so excited?" Yuuya asked flatly as this was just a common convenience store, there wasn't anything special about this one.
"This is a convenience store inside a school, so this is special," Marin sounded way too serious for something so trivial but that was just her.
She even bought a few snacks as well, she wanted to test them out to see if they would be any different.
"This tastes just like convenience store riceball," Marin looked disappointed.
