Chapter eight(8)

"I don't adore you, I adore your music" Francis said

        "Do you have a crush on me?" Mae asked, closing the distance between them, and cupping Mae's face, Francis plants a wet kid on her lips making her gasp. Pulling away he asks 

        "Does that answer your question?" Before walking away. Taking a few deep breaths Mae calmed her self and started walking towards the art section. 

        After school Mae was sitting in the school garden when a boy approached her, he introduced himself as Henry and said

       "Mae I know that its too early for all us uhbu.  but, I think you should maintain a low key and stay away from Sandra's part"

       "Sorry, what do you mean by maintaining a low key and who is Sandra and why should I stay away from her" Mae asked

       "Sandra is my step sister and I know how troublesome she can be, She and her two friends who are more like her worshipers than her friends are regarded as the owners of the school and she is considered as the school belle"

       "So what has that got to do with me?" Mae asked still not looking up from her phone 

     "Since you are gradually taking away her position in this school...." Looking at him Mae asked 

      "And what position is that?"

      "School belle of course?"

     "And what have I got to do, with her position as the school belle in this school?"

     "Definitely, you are the most beautiful girl in school currently and every guys dream, but then Sandra once assumed that post, and.."

     "And what?"

     "Since the day Francis Melvin entered this school, the second semester of first year, she had had a huge crush on him and she had done all she could to get him when she leant that he  was brother to Olivia Melvin, she had just started talking to him when she saw you guys kissing in the washroom and she ran out crying, and trust me when ever she cries, the person who made her cry, cries with her"

      "Okay thanks for the piece of information, I will be going now my driver should be here by now, thanks again" Mae said and left in a hurry, her face was red with embarrassment as she hurried towards her car where her driver was waiting for her. 

       Getting home, Mae was greeted by Junior who was just coming back from Nigeria

       "Oh look at my pretty best friend" Junior said hugging her

      "What are you doing here?" Mae asked pushing him away, she was still angry that he didn't trust her when he saw the picture of her and Francis on the internet 

      "What do you mean, don't I have the right to come visit you again?"

        "Well you should have known that I might be, on a date with my boyfriend" Mae said making her way towards her room

       "Come on, are you still angry?"

      "Clearly I am, and you are not welcomed here, so go away"

      "Come on sweetie..."

      "No dad don't interfere, someone I call my best friend is supposed to trust me not join the public to lash out on me" she storms upstairs. Mae had nit expected to react to angrily but then again she has all the right to be angry, Junior knew well than go after her, or he might as well come out with a swollen eye, or a bleeding forehead. 

         Chloe Mae's mother decided to go talk to her daughter, seeing her mother knock on the door without waiting to be asked to come in before coming in, Mae smiled and said

     "Mum, you know that's called barging into a lady's room?"

      "I knocked, but hey that's not what am here for, why are you so angry?" Chloe asked surprised at her daughter's behavior 

       "I don't know, I mean, I was just going to play angry but now am really angry"

      "Anyways you have all the right to be angry but hey, don't kill any one" Chloe said 

        "Kay...mum?"

        "Hmm"

       "When you we're in highschool, did any one warn you to stay away from someone and how did you handle it?" Mae asked confusing her mother
