Diary of a Teenage Alpha

Big-hearted and witty, Samantha Kingsley is the Alpha's daughter who grew up learning to meet everyone's expectations. But Samantha isn't a pup anymore, she's in high school now, and is just about to discover that her life is written by her choices. Not by dreams, or prophecies, or even the moon goddess. This girl is going to protect the happiness of her pack and everyone she loves. Read her diary here. Updated every night. Mon-Sat Volume Synopsis VOL 1 It's the first week of school. Despite my failed attempt to make a friend, I somehow ended up surrounded by a handful of wolf classmates, got accepted by the human "cool" girls, and became a vampire's guard dog? VOL 2 I think I'm just starting to get the hang of school. From navigating school halls, new friends, vampires, and school clubs... Back home it should have been the usual drill, but things started shifting. And I urm...might have been messing around where I shouldn't. VOL 3 I had to miss a couple of school days this week due to my ah, long term bout of "anemia". It's been pretty intense at home. My alpha position was challenged, rogues burnt down our home, I rescued my first fight dog, discovered the Lorent's secret oracle, almost rescued my mate...and accidentally stumbled into my Alpha Dad's secret. VOL 4 My worlds collide as some members from my pack come to my school to sell concert tickets. And when Grandpa Alpha shocked us all by dying, my dad's family comes together to pay their last respects at the Night Forest Pack. VOL 5 It's February and the Vampire Queen is celebrating her birthday. Would Rebel's plan to escape work out? Meanwhile, I'm stuck in school dealing with high school drama, an evolving wolf, and a new human sister. In the Red Packlands, war nearly breaks out. (This might have been a very little bit my fault.) VOL 6 It's the week of Valentine's Day, but I've got a highschool play, Lorent drama, Vampire slaying training, and an underground army to deal with first. And then warlock weather threw an extended snowstorm at us. The whole of Green Packlands goes into lockdown - but what about Valentine's Day? VOL 7 Exams are a week away, and it feels like my time at Winderhill is really coming to a close. I'm trying to be a good student, but there are paparazzi camped outside my school, I ran with rogues (I'm shocked too), Maria just had to enter her dark cycle in school...My life is too exciting to study for exams. VOL 8 It's exam week, but I've got far greater problems brewing at home. The prophecies are merging. River's stone had unlocked warlock trouble, the rogue king has moved in, and then there's Uncle Louis' economical problems... one at a time. Just let me survive Code Black and figure out what's going on at Heller's first, and I'm sure everything else will work out somehow. VOL 9 Its the last week of school and the exams are over. Its like for better or worse, all the big bad things are over now. At home, My pack works to clean up the aftermath of the rogue war, the warlock's defeat, and Jude's betrayal. In school, everyone treats me more or less the same... like a freak. Meanwhile, our school play is in dire straights, and as the Last Hurrah's debut draws near, I get ready to say good bye to Winderhill for good. VOL 10 We follow Dad to the past to stop the traitor (AKA Jude), from ever stepping into our Packlands. It would've been a good plan too - if it didn't change EVERYTHING. Now, I can't help but feel my life is ruined. Nobody understands me. Is it selfish of me to wish none of this ever happened? Why does my world have to be so magical?

SIR WOLFGANG IS MY NEW NORMAL TOO

SATURDAY, 5 MARCH, 7AM

I wasn't having a great start to my day, and if I thought getting out of bed would make things better, I was WRONG.

I couldn't even say I should've stayed in bed because that would have been impossible. At 7am sharp, there was a sharp rap on my bedroom door, "Good morning, princess. You have 30 minutes to breakfasting with your family. Would you require assistance to be ready?"

I stifled a groan, suddenly remembering Wolfgang's "tutelage" ALL OF YESTERDAY.

"Princess? Are you awake?"

No! I wanted to shout back, but of course I didn't dare. I mean, I barely dared to groan aloud in my allegedly soundproof room in case I earned any more extra homework.

Was Wolfgang going to be tutoring me today too?

I quickly hopped off my bed and flung open the door.

Wolfgang, dressed smartly in the navy blue of our warrior jacket side-stepped the door calmly, "Oh good. You're already up and about."

The early morning sun was drawing bright light lines across my third floor landing and the lighting made the fire wolf's blue eyes look very blue and blond hair look very gold. Either that, or Wolfgang looked good in blue demon warrior blue.

But at that moment, I was just a little miffed to feel like complimenting the fire wolf. Was Wolfgang going to be bring my betas up to knock on my door first thing in the morning, every morning?

And why did he have to look so surprised to see me properly dressed at the door?

What? Did he think I was an Alpha who spent Saturday morning rolling around in bed? (Although I was, but that was beside the point!)

"I was up since dawn reading the news (mostly page six)." I informed Wolfgang huffily.

Wolfgang nodded approvingly, "The early bird catches the worm."

I wasn't a bird, nor was I worm catching today (because when I was a pup, I did ever try to catch worms for one dumb reason or the other.)

Next to Wolfgang, Harvey, Ben, and Barry were all lined up in a neat little row, "Good morning, Princess."

I looked at Harvey, and then Barry..Oh no. Were we really going to pretend like we were acting for some fancy Lycan drama again?

I knew I was going to regret asking Wolfgang to be my tutor, but I didn't realize I was going to regret it every day for the rest of my life. Alright, no. Thank goddess! Her champion will come and challenge me and win him back with honor.

I just have to bear with this for four more years! Four! That was like what? For the rest of my youth! I'd be OLD by the time he left!

"It would be appropriate to return the greeting to your wolves and give them their first instructions for the day now, Princess." Wolfgang prompted me.

I'm not sure what Alpha stepped out of his bedroom at 7am in the morning, clear minded enough to do anything like give instructions for the day.

I mean, my own Alpha Dad could only growl in broken sentences before coffee. I would know! I've personally woken him up as a pup on multiple occasions. Once, I woke Dad up and told him Santa Claus was under my bed.

"What?" Dad growled.

"He's stuck Dad. It's his belly. It's like jelly, so he's stuck." I explained.

Dad actually followed me all the way back to my bed before he realized jolly St Nicks couldn't possibly be under my bed -my bed didn't have an underneath space because Mum had fitted a pullout drawer in it.

"Grrr...." Dad said and pointed to my bed.

I climbed back in, "I guess it was just a dream."

Dad patted my head with his large hand and turned to go without another word. He didn't even remember to tuck me back in!

Anyway, this was Dad until he got to the breakfast table from ever since I could remember, so it didn't bother me.

Of course, now I knew that not all Alphas were the same, and I suppose, somewhere in this world, there would be one who would hop out of bed like an early bird and instruct on today's worm-catching plans first thing in the mornings.

"Good morning." I managed. I didn't really know how to continue, so I decided to just wing it.

Harvey was here. I've been meeting him on the porch almost every morning to go to school for a while now. So purely by force of habit, my winging it simply meant continuing our usual morning conversations.

If Wolfgang could pretend we were in some period drama on the Colored Mountains, I could pretend I was in the car with Harvey.

"So what's on my schedule today?" I grinned at my Good Beta. And as usual, Harvey was perfectly able to recite it by memory.

I had breakfast with my family at 7:30am, but Mum and Dad were already downstairs at the breakfast table. They had been alarmed when Bell had carried me into the house last night. I was passed out cold. My parents had come up to my room and only left after Bell and Ki had checked and reassured them that I was fine, just passed out from the alcohol.

"It is good to see you well and about, Alpha." Harvey told me. I guess my good beta was worried too.

Investigations were underway.

"It's a serious security breach," Wolfgang said, "You were with your Luna, two betas, and four warriors, and still a drink of unknown origins managed to find its way into your hand."

It turned out that the drink was not handed to me by Bell, nor either of my betas, but they had all assumed it was from one of them and had not thought to check over the mindlink.

"Do you remember who handed you the drink, Alpha?" Barry asked hopefully. I guess he thought I might be able to help close the investigations or something. Unfortunately, I had no idea. I did remember someone handing me the drink when two waiters came over to Henry and Bell. They both got drinks too.

I shook my head, "Maybe one of the waiters?"

"This is unforgivable." Wolfgang said, "You need to have the SOP reviewed. Send me the document too. Although this isn't my usual scope of expertise, I believe I might have some useful input"

"Understood." Harvey nodded seriously, "Thank you for your guidance."

Anyway, Wolfgang believed that my Alpha Father and Luna Mother would be most glad to see that I was in the pink of health - which seemed to be the main purpose of my showing up for breakfast at our family table. Wolfgang was still new, so you'd have to forgive him for not knowing about the magic that happened during breakfast in our home. I could smell magical bacon and eggs even from up here. I started down the stairs.

My wolves followed while Harvey continued with my schedule. I had breakfast with my friends after this.

"Two breakfasts in the same morning?" Wolfgang sounded properly shocked.

Why not? I would totally recommend it. It was one of my Saturday Morning highlights!

Lycan Study Group will follow as scheduled. This was followed by the monthly pack picnic - The first one this Spring! Yay! We'd also be welcoming the Red Cloud Pack, Freewolves, and Underground Army at his picnic. It was going to be a huge picnic.

"It seems that many of the ceremonies here are conducted over meals." Wolfgang observed.

First of all, it was a picnic, not a stuffy ceremony. Everyone would bring their picnic mats and set out lovely dishes. Everyone would also make extras to pass around too. There would be a stage with an open mic. Many of our wolves played instruments or sang, so it was fun to watch them link up on the spot and play whatever their newly formed band could play together. They were usually very good too.

And our course my friends and I would hang out and stuff our faces .

"As princess, it is impertinent that you make your appearance and mingle with the common wolf." Wolfgang informed me.

"Had you ever been to a pack picnic?" I asked Wolfgang.

Wolfgang shook his head looking taken aback. Maybe he was trying to imagine the Snow Wolves doing so... hahaha. I couldn't imagine it either.

"It's like the dance party, but in the day." I told Wolfgang.

Wolfgang looked like he was having trouble picturing this.

Anyway, I didn't have that long to enjoy the picnic. I had to attend some meeting... I'm not sure what it was about.

"I need to read the reports" I realized aloud. Where was my Surface Pro?

"Understood Alpha." Harvey nodded a bow.

We had just stepped down to the first floor and my leaped up all of the sudden, {Mate! ~❤️}

I had to stop myself because Bell was currently soaking in the water. I realized belatedly that he had been talking to Ki while soaking in the pool since just now. Despite not being a merman, my mate spent an awfully long time in water.

{Mate! ~❤️ }

Bell looked up, his golden eyes looked like the most beautiful orbs under the morning light.

"Good morning, Princess." Bell smirked.

{Mate! ~❤️ }

Suddenly, I was rendered incapable of coherent thought. If coffee could clear Dad's head in the morning, could it also be used to cure soulmate-inspired stupidity? Why did my mate have to be so handsome?

{Mate! ~❤️ }

Somebody kill me before the stupidity ruins me!
