Diary of a Teenage Alpha

Big-hearted and witty, Samantha Kingsley is the Alpha's daughter who grew up learning to meet everyone's expectations. But Samantha isn't a pup anymore, she's in high school now, and is just about to discover that her life is written by her choices. Not by dreams, or prophecies, or even the moon goddess. This girl is going to protect the happiness of her pack and everyone she loves. Read her diary here. Updated every night. Mon-Sat Volume Synopsis VOL 1 It's the first week of school. Despite my failed attempt to make a friend, I somehow ended up surrounded by a handful of wolf classmates, got accepted by the human "cool" girls, and became a vampire's guard dog? VOL 2 I think I'm just starting to get the hang of school. From navigating school halls, new friends, vampires, and school clubs... Back home it should have been the usual drill, but things started shifting. And I urm...might have been messing around where I shouldn't. VOL 3 I had to miss a couple of school days this week due to my ah, long term bout of "anemia". It's been pretty intense at home. My alpha position was challenged, rogues burnt down our home, I rescued my first fight dog, discovered the Lorent's secret oracle, almost rescued my mate...and accidentally stumbled into my Alpha Dad's secret. VOL 4 My worlds collide as some members from my pack come to my school to sell concert tickets. And when Grandpa Alpha shocked us all by dying, my dad's family comes together to pay their last respects at the Night Forest Pack. VOL 5 It's February and the Vampire Queen is celebrating her birthday. Would Rebel's plan to escape work out? Meanwhile, I'm stuck in school dealing with high school drama, an evolving wolf, and a new human sister. In the Red Packlands, war nearly breaks out. (This might have been a very little bit my fault.) VOL 6 It's the week of Valentine's Day, but I've got a highschool play, Lorent drama, Vampire slaying training, and an underground army to deal with first. And then warlock weather threw an extended snowstorm at us. The whole of Green Packlands goes into lockdown - but what about Valentine's Day? VOL 7 Exams are a week away, and it feels like my time at Winderhill is really coming to a close. I'm trying to be a good student, but there are paparazzi camped outside my school, I ran with rogues (I'm shocked too), Maria just had to enter her dark cycle in school...My life is too exciting to study for exams. VOL 8 It's exam week, but I've got far greater problems brewing at home. The prophecies are merging. River's stone had unlocked warlock trouble, the rogue king has moved in, and then there's Uncle Louis' economical problems... one at a time. Just let me survive Code Black and figure out what's going on at Heller's first, and I'm sure everything else will work out somehow. VOL 9 Its the last week of school and the exams are over. Its like for better or worse, all the big bad things are over now. At home, My pack works to clean up the aftermath of the rogue war, the warlock's defeat, and Jude's betrayal. In school, everyone treats me more or less the same... like a freak. Meanwhile, our school play is in dire straights, and as the Last Hurrah's debut draws near, I get ready to say good bye to Winderhill for good. VOL 10 We follow Dad to the past to stop the traitor (AKA Jude), from ever stepping into our Packlands. It would've been a good plan too - if it didn't change EVERYTHING. Now, I can't help but feel my life is ruined. Nobody understands me. Is it selfish of me to wish none of this ever happened? Why does my world have to be so magical?

I HAD A NICE DAY

By the time we were done at Chloe's shop, it was too late to go to any others, but Chloe promised to do the shopping for us. She was truly excited and couldn't wait to make the two precious princess' dream room come true.

I found the way she spoke unendingly amusing, and after biscuits and tea, was tempted to just let her build me that mermaid room, just for the laughs.

My mum seemed rather satisfied with the meeting, at least with her rooms, which was the rest of the house. Chloe had given huge discounts to her services for our home. This was going to be her masterpiece, which she hoped to take photos of showcase.

Great, then my princess mermaid unicorn bedroom would denounce my Alpha-ness to the world.

I'm doomed.

It's alright though. I'll talk to mum later tonight. Chloe would have to provide the drawings and mood boards for her designs, so we could talk over something more concrete then.

Flynn and Hank drove us home, and even though there wasn't anyone around watching, they got out and opened the car doors for us anyway. And then they walked us up to the porch.

To my surprise, I saw Harvey's truck parked in our driveway.

"Would you like to join us for dinner?" My mum offered.

"No thank you, Luna. We are meeting our mates for dinner at the packhouse." Flynn told her.

Mum nodded, "Thank you for your time."

Flynn and Hank nodded, "You're welcome, Luna" Then they excused themselves to return the town car and meet their mates.

The front door opened, "Welcome home, Luna." It was Harvey.

"Alpha Kingsley is at his office. He will come home shortly. The pack house kitchen has delivered dinner. I've taken the liberty to set the table." Harvey reported as he smoothly took our coats for us and hung them.

"Oh my, thank you, Harvey." Mum did nothing to hide her smile.

I bet she wished Harvey was my mate... Or at least Savy's mate. I thought of Rebel and Savy's human. Oh my. The Goddess was going to pull a Chloe on mum.

Omo. Maybe, Chloe was the Goddess true incarnate. I imagined the Goddess smacking every tight male bum in our pack. What a frightening thought.

"Would you like to stay for dinner, Harvey?" Mum asked.

"Thank you, Luna, but my mum is expecting me home. I just need to discuss something with the princess." Harvey replied.

That's princess mermaid unicorn to you, Beta!

But of course I am not that stupid to actually say that aloud.

"What's up?" I asked him casually. He followed me into the living room. Savy disappeared like the morning mist, rising up the stairs silently into her own room.

"I've informed the others of our new duties on Sundays. It will be rostered, two of us with you at each week, with either Flynn or Hank on alternate weeks. The mission each week would be set by the elder Betas and the details revealed on the spot."

"Lola and Nix were easy to mindlink, and I could text Flynn and Hank on the phone. But it was much harder to contact Ben and Jonah. After discussing with Alpha and Beta Lucas, they've agreed that the three of you should get new mobile phones. We can form a chat group, and disseminate information much quicker."

Wait, did Harvey just convinced my dad to buy me a phone? Have I told you how good a beta he was?

"I'm tasked to purchase the phones and settle the contracts." Harvey informed me, "I've got a budget, but do you have a preference?"

Eh?

Harvey gave me a wry smile, "I will secure your phone and then use whatever is left for Ben and Jonah."

Eh?

"Just whatever." I told him, "Split the budget with the other two."

"You sure, Alpha?" Harvey was reminding me my rights.

"I'm assuming the amount they gave you is generous enough for three above average phones." I told him.

Harvey nodded, "You assume correctly, Princess."

But for some reason, when Harvey said princess, I realized it was with the same tone as he said Alpha.

"Do you have a color preference for the phone, Princess?" Harvey asked.

I shook my head, I had no idea what colors were available anyway, but then I remembered an ad I saw on the train recently, "Dark blue." I said, "Or else black." I quickly added.

I've learned my lesson with Chloe. I was not going to be saddled with an aquamarine phone. That would be too much for me to bear.

"Not pink?" Harvey smirked. Was Harvey going to pull a Chloe on me too?

I tossed my head, "Do that, and I will switch phones with you."

Harvey nodded, "Understood, princess. I'll resist."

Harvey opened the door to welcome Dad home, and then after storing Dad's coat away, he took out his own and excused himself.

"What a nice boy." Mum sighed at the shut door.

Dad kissed her on her cheek as usual, but he didn't pull away and continued kissing her down her jaw. I noticed the new Lycan homework file he held in his hand.

"Is that for me?" I quickly interrupted.

"Ah, yeah." Dad's voice was growly. Mum managed to break free from his grasp to sooth out her silk blouse and step back.

Dad managed to pass me the file without ripping off my head for interrupting, but I didn't care. Sigh, the pains of living with mated adults!

We gathered around the dinner table quite naturally after that. Usually, mum would be putting out the plates, Savy would be laying out the cutlery, and I would be pouring the water, but Harvey had done all that. He even set a bottle of wine in ice on the side. Dad inspected it, and then opened it to share with Mum.

"How was the Interior Design Firm?" Dad asked as he poured.

"It was very good. Chloe was enthusiastic." My mum said.

"Chloe was crazy." I said.

Savy cackled.

Dad smiled, "I take that my three ladies had a nice time."

Dad was in a good mood today.

And then I realized, so was I. Yeah, I did have a nice time.

Or it could just be because I AM FINALLY GONNA GET MY OWN PHONE!
