A girl with a brother who is in the army and a sister who's son is diagnosed with adhd and autism. The girl spends a lot of time with her sister and is the secondary caregiver of her nephew since her sister is a single mum. Her brother is away deployment all the time.
She, her brother and sister all had a rough upbringing but they won't allow their childhood trauma to define them. So they do what they can to just live in the moment and be together as a family whilst doing it.
A guy who moved across continents with his mum (who is diagnosed with bipolar) leaving behind a broken and stressful life.
After his father's three long year battle with cancer, he ended up dying. He didn't go to school for months until he eventually had to.
All of a sudden, during the Easter holidays, his mother made a spontaneous decision of wanting to move abroad. She wanted to go to a place where nothing reminded her of him. Painful memories were the worst for her and especially for her mental illness.
The girl and the boy:
They have a lot more in common than they think. Both young, in high school, experienced the loss of one or both parents, experienced so much childhood trauma and they both are caregivers to their family members with mental illness.
But will they ever cross paths and fall for each other?
