Chapter 62

" She went ahead!! " Noelle yelled in surprised as she looked at Yami.

" Yep. Seems she left for the witch's forest quite early. You should really go now if you want to catch up to her. " Yami said as he flipped the page for his newspaper.

" Why did she leave so goddamn early?! " Magna yelled.

" Probably has to do with the witch's forest. Also, shut up please, I'm trying to have my morning coffee. Thank you, Charmy. " Touya said as he grabbed the cup of coffee to drink.

" No problem Touya. " Charmy said as she made more food for herself.

" Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's go! " Asta yelled.

" Kids right. Open the portal and let's go! " Ladros yelled to Finral.

" Don't open that portal just yet. Charmy can you give me that bottle, please? " Touya asked.

" Sure. Here you go. " Charmy said.

" Thanks. "

Tout spouted the coffee into the bottle and walked toward the others.

" Okay, I'm good. Let's go now. " Touya said.

Not questioning him, Finral opened the portal and they walked through it.

Grunting Vanessa laid on the floor as he tried to stand up. The witch queen stood in front of her with a poker face of the highest order. She is a true master in the art of the poker face.

Vanessa pleaded with her to heal Asta's arms but she refused and put Vanessa in her place by making her unconscience on the ground.

' Even after all this time she still hasn't gained the ability to manipulate fate. ' She thought as she stood in front of Vanessa's body.

" Get away from her! "

She turns her head forward to see a bolt of lightning coming towards her.

' There are people behind this bolt. Let's take a good look at them. '

The queen jumped back, avoiding the spell. She then takes a good look at the people who stood in front of her and invaded her kingdom.

This was non other than Asta, Noelle, Finral, Luck, Magna, Touya and Ladros.

" Interesting so you're the one she spoke about." She said as she looked at Asta.

" What do you mean? " Asta asked as he stood on standby to attack when needed.

" Quite simple. She came back after running away from this place all those years ago. She asked me to heal your arms in exchange to never leave again. I must admit though I never expected you to have no mana. But now I must get back to disciplining her. Once I heal you then you may leave. "

" I refuse. " Asta yelled.

Opening his grimoire he grabbed his sword with his mouth and was about to charge when Touya grabbed his shirt, pulling him back.

" Why did you do that?! " Asta asked.

" Dammit, Touya the fun was about to begin. " Ladros yelled.

" We have bigger problems to deal with. " Touya said.

" I know but they still have to get here so we can have a small spar at least. " Ladros said.

" Hmm, I see. More invaders. " The queen says as she looks into a crystal ball.

" That's the eye of the midnight sun. " Noelle said.

" Hey, that guy seems really strong. Can I go fight him? " Ladros asked as he looked at the person leading the troop for the eye of the midnight sun.

" Wait for a moment. " Touya said to Ladros with a serious expression. Ladros looks at this and nods.

Groans could be heard as they looked at Vanessa who woke up. Vanessa looked around to see the black bulls here in the witch's forest and stands up.

" Wait for a moment, Asta. I'll get your arms healed. "

" I refuse. " Asta said.

" But this is the only way to heal your arms. Not even your anti-magic swords could dispel the curse. " Vanessa said to Asta.

" Then I'd rather have no arms than lose my own family. " Asta said resolutely.

The queen's eyes widened for a fraction of a second before returning to normal.

'Anti magic and he has no mana. Interesting. That means that Antimagic can run through his very body. This would make any magic that touched him be useless.

Combined with Vanessa's ability to change fate as well. ' The queen thought.

Touya looked at the queen and mentally grinned.

' Thought so. Vanessa is important to you and anti-magic is a really powerful tool. You'd definitely what that. '

" Hmm how about a deal witch queen? " Touya said as everyone looked at him.

The queen looked at him as Touya continued.

" If you heal his arms we will help protect this forest. "

" And if I don't? " The queen asked.

" Then I'll burn this place to the ground. " Touya said with a grin on his face.

The black bulls looked at him in shock at the suggestion while the witch queen looked at him in annoyance.

' This is quite the annoyance. If he and the boy next to him were not here, I could easily take both Vanessa and the anti-magic swords, while having my kingdom.

No, it's a different story. These 2 are incredibly powerful. No need to panic though. After this fight, it should be easy to get both of them. '

" Guess I have no choice. Well played but please remember the deal. " The queen said.

" Of course. " Touya said returning to his regular expression of boredom.

Turning towards Asta the queen extended her hand. Blood poured from her hand as it wrapped around Asta and started sit heal him.

' Just like what Elden predicted. She used her own blood to open up his body to take in more anti-magic. However, this also leads to the fact she could take over his body and use him as a puppet.

Well, no matter. That's for later. I'll tell Ladros then after we take care of the other people. ' Touya thought as he watched Asta flex his healed arms with Ladros asking him to fight him after this.
