Chapter 3

" Rise and shine maggots!! " Someone yelled.

I woke up after hearing that. I check the wooden clock and see that it is 5 am in the morning. I usually wake up at 7. This is two hours early.

Screw it. I can't complain. I just have to suck it up and deal with it. After waking up I left the room. I walked through the hall ways to see guards coming to wake up the other kids.

I waited and followed them outside. In the court yard I saw a man who looked like he was in his 40s. He tall muscular build with black hair and black eyes.While waiting I saw many people standing on the side.

" Listen up. In order to protect the kingdom you must become stronger. " The man said. " All the adults here are teachers. You will choose your teacher and train. In 3 years you will have an exam to test if your ready to become a soilder. Now choose!"

Most of the kids didn't do anything as most of them wernt sure. I was one of them. I stood there and looked at the teachers. Their magic levels are high but they can't help me. I already have great control over my magic so there's no need to ask them.

The man in front of me however is better. His magic is just as big as the others but is body is well built. He must have worked hard.I know what my decision is.

After telling the recruits to go choose a teacher I just stood there. I usually don't get students. They can't handle my training.

" Hello sir. " I heard the voice and looked down and saw one of the students in front of me.

" Kid why are you here? You having trouble choosing? " I ask.

" Hmm no. I'm here since your the teacher I have chosen. "

At his words I was shocked. Usually kids don't come over to me. Why did this kid come?

" Really. Why not the others? "

" Simple. I just wanted you to be my teacher. I have a gut feeling if I do I'll learn more than with other teachers. "

This kid. His eyes don't have any lies. He's serious.

" Alright kid but will you be able to handle it? "

" I can't say for sure so let me show you. "

At his words a wide smile appeared on my face. He knows. Words are just words. He's trying to prove himself with actions.

Let's see if he has potential.

" Well kid before you can become my student I will give a test. "

" A test. What is It? "

" You will see soon enough. Follow me. "

He nodded and we left.

When me and sensei left for the mountains I scanned his magic core. It's on ability I pared with room. By sending magic to my eyes I can see through things like an x ray. A better example would be that this is comparable to the byakugan from Naruto. It works the same way. I can see in all directions, and look through things from close up or from far away.Plus by using it on my eyes I can see the mana in the air and in someone's body.

Using this I looked at my sensei and saw that he has a lot of magic. The problem is that I don't know what his magic is.

" We're here. "

I looked around and saw that it was a clear field in the middle of the forest.

" We will have a spar here. You can't use magic. Got it. "

" Yes sir. "

I was right. He focuses on hand to hand combat as well. He might know how to use weapons. For now let's just focus.

I haven't practiced any type of hand to hand fighting. Let's just try something.

I waited for the kid to start. He looked like he was thinking about something before tending up.

He then rushed I at me. Predictable move. He doesn't have any fightning experience in hand to hand so let's see what he can do.

As he came at me he jumped and aimed a punch at my face with his right hand. I tilted my head to the right dodging it. Right after he tried punching me with his left. I dodged and used my palm to hit his stomach from below.

He got hurt but didn't give up as when he fell to the ground he jumped up again to kick me. I grasped his leg but his other leg came from above. Not bad but I caught it and then threw him towards a tree. He backflipped in the air as he was thrown before landing on the tree with his feet before jumping down.

He's good but he doesn't have the reach. His hand to hand combat skills are very low. His flexibility is much better though. When both of those kicks came in they had a lot of force behind them. His strength is also top notch.

" Alright you have potential. You will be my student. I won't go easy on you so be prepared. " He nodded at me.

" Now then time to train. "

" Wait sensei. What's your name? "

" It's Karasuma. Now then let's go. We are wasting time. "

" Yes Karasuma sensei. "

This kid starting following me for training. This will be fun. For me that is.
