Dezer Plaza

In the sprawling, shadowy city of Dezers Plaza, where the supernatural, monstrous, and human have mingled for centuries, Rice Lichen navigates a tense state of coexistence. As a "Three Letter" operative in the Hellrazer organization, he is deeply entrenched in the city's web of contracts, clauses, and souls, maintaining Hellrazer's iron grip on the intangible economy. Dezers Plaza is a place where crime often runs rampant. The lower circles are rife with illegal transactions and bitter disputes between factions, while the higher echelons of power, including faction leaders, hold sway in the supreme Eclipse Court. This layered hierarchy ensures that every deal, every debt, and every soul has its place, but also that power struggles and hidden agendas are never far from the surface. Rice enforces the strict terms of Hellrazer's contracts, ensuring that payments are kept and souls are accounted for. Often dealing with the city's underworld on job and out of it. With vampires controlling the nightlife, mercenaries rampant, and the ghastly Wich Wardens who enforce the city's laws with an iron fist. The city's balance is delicate, and whispers of unrest are growing louder. As Rice finds himself increasingly caught in the crossfire of factional disputes and unknown assailants, he must navigate the perilous landscape with his skills and wits. With tensions rising, Rice's loyalty and survival are put to the ultimate test.. --- The Book cover is an Ai art, I'm not sure if Ai art has copyright because of how it was made. but if this does incur a copyright. i will rightfully take it down.

Venni

Rice grimaced. Tracing his finger above the summoning circle.

"Thy worm of maggoted soul, be thy pet of the Dwemer cog"

He didn't particularly care about half the incantations. But this part often was left unsigned. Well now it wasn't. This transportation circle had a signature. Dwemer Cog? If he remembered right. In hell there was an infamous crime organization by that name. To actually sign, pfft. They got balls of steel.

Or a good reason to be confident. After he told Tyler to go home early. Rice came back to the scene.

Going to hell needed permission, and he needed to get in contact with a few parties first. Dwemer cog is above his pay grade. Dwemer Cog wasn't some random gang or group he could easily mess with.

That creature he ran into last night, not saying their connected, but Dwemer cog's got some powerhouses that is stronger than it. In fact of Yeniver knew that Dwemer Cog was involved he wouldn't even had attempted to give this mission out to them.

So when Yeniver answered. Rice got straight to the point. "Brain worms is property of Dwemer Cog"

The line was silent for a moment. Before the man on the other side tsked. "Alright.. ha. Skip that case. Infact I need you two to go to highrise. There has been a large incident there and only a few hellrazers are available."

Rice nodded "gotcha. Whoever take this case let them know Dwemer might got some backup."

Yeniver responded "yep, get Tyler and head to highrise"

Rice ended the call. Dialing Tyler who was originally happy for a freebee day. "hey get ready and meet me at the station we gotta hit highrise."

Tyler frowned "What about hell and that one case?"

"Dropped, someone higher on the totem pole is gonna take it. We aren't strong enough to handle that organization. Anyway I'll see ya in an hour."

"Roger"

Down in hell.

"Bossman"

A large burly demon rumbled, opening a large black door. "We got Venni"

They pushed in a beaten man.

"Venni! What did they do to ya?"

Venni felt a cold sweat, the demons came to the warden station. With some brute strength they pried Venni from the wardens. Angering the wich wardens.

If not for their new backings. Doing so would have been suicide. that said Venni was too valuable to give up.

But Venni didn't feel the Bosses sentiment.

for good reason too.

Boss man, better known as Gats. Was a goat demon. Dressed in fine crimson suit with silver trimmings.

He lit up a joint of crushed dried scented worms. Now that his supply was.. cut off. Venni found himself in the cauldron with the devil.

"Eh, don't worry Venni, I won't kill ya. Now explain to me how you messed up, got caught. So we can fix it."

Venni steeled himself. He was never considered a brave man, but he knew how to farm parasites. Which was a brave venture to traverse.

Very few would attempt the trade, especially a supernatural who looked like top quality food to the parasites.

"Bossman, i.."

Gats waved his cigar. "Nah ah ah"

He pointed his finger at Venni with an almost accusatory glare. "No buttering, explain"

Venni tensed up. "I uh, started to increase productivity.. by decreasing the time the parasites took to kill the host.. and I increased the siphon of the contract.."

Gats leaned forward. Putting down his cigar. Feeling it was wasteful to use to grill Venni.

"Your tellin me, that you, the farmer of this fine product. Jeopardized the product, by pushing the date early.. and killing the targets faster?"

Venni nodded.

Gats pinched his nose in angered annoyance.

"Venni.. your upstairs bub, had ya stayed in hell that be an easy cover up! But we moved you upstairs for a better, aged product for a reason. Now you got yourself arrested, and put on the hit list of two governing organizations!"

Gats hit his desk with a thwap, making Venni jump. "Boss I-"

Gats snapped his head to Venni "Shut up."

Venni dropped his gaze. Losing steam on the bravery he thought he had gathered in his service.

"Alright Venni, you really caused a stir. So now you gotta pay up."

He snapped his fingers as another demon entered behind Venni.

"Ian, make me a contract for.. five hundred years of service.. and let's tack on hmm.."

Gats glanced down at his cigar.. ooo..

"Venni, since you cut my supply off of good quality cigars. Your going to become the best product. Ian, I want some brainworms in the contract."

Venni hiccuped in fear he took a step back ready to run. But to his great misfortune. Two hands landed on his shoulder.

The same burly demon grinning down at him. "where ya going Venni, boss man ain't done with ya."

Ian a high imp. Wrote up the contract. Using a stamp to bypass the viewing process. A nifty method gifted to them by their backer to bypass the contract laws. As long as a hellrazer wasn't looking at the contract. Nobody would ever know.

Gats waved to Venni "sign it, Venni."

Gats said with an assertive voice. Staring at Venni who shook his head. "boss, please i..i"

Ian stepped forward at Gats nod. He patted Venni on the shoulder. Enforcing his words. "sign it.." Venni felt the suggestion but refused. He truly didn't want this. He was unwilling they couldnt- actaully yes they can.

Ian without Venni realizing had finalized the contract when Venni mumbled yes unaware he had done so. Suddenly he felt them. A worming in his head, whispering squetch. He grasped his head.

Horror plastered on his face.

"Alright take him out, keep an eye on him.."

Gats waited for them to leave. Before asking to empty air. "How goes the operation?"

"The pot is being stirred, my boss has passed to me to tell you. We are on the move. Thank you for your help."

Gats nodded lighting up his cigar again. "anything to change the scene. Use what iv given however you like."

"hehe.. yes my boss expresses pleasure at the idea of your shifters. You'll hear from us again when the status quo has been cracked."

Gats cracked an ugly smile. "I look forward to it"
