Zhong Cao Yan arrived home with smiles all over his face. He was happy to the point he could touch the sky. 'I can finally see my daughter walk again. Maybe, I can see my grandchild before I die.'
"Hmm. Dad, do you mind?" Zhong Cao Ke Xin stood at the pathway of the house, refusing her father entry. "Your shoes, please."
The middle-aged man felt embarrassed, scratched the back of his head, and immediately left his shoes at the doorway.
With each step he took to the living room of the house built in an ancient Japanese style like every Zhong Clan house, Zhong Cao Yan tried his best to keep quiet.
However, the joy inside him made his words flow out like magma. "Ke Xin, I have a gift for you."
The girl with long navy hair smiled as she pushed her wheelchair into the living room. "You said it on the phone before, and your face says it all. You really can't keep a secret, can you?"
The father grumbled underneath his breath. This made his daughter release a faint chuckle with her hand covering her mouth. It was rare to see her father acting this childish.
Her father doted on her way too much, and ever since she got poisoned, he had been too excessive. She neither liked nor disliked it. This was part of his charm. She knew that a lot of people out there had problems with their fathers and just took it as a blessing.
Zhong Cao Yan sat on the wooden floor cross-legged, while his daughter just stayed seated in the wheelchair on the opposite side of the wooden table. A brief moment of silence took place between the two, and only their breaths could be heard.
"So, what is the gift you have for me, Dad?" Ke Xin asked with a gentle voice filled with anticipation that reflected in her green eyes.
With a happy smile on his face, Zhong Cao Yan took out the spirit pot from his Primeval World, and his daughter immediately frowned. 'Did Dad go crazy today? He is using a spirit item to cook food, and when did he start cooking? Ever since Mom died, he didn't dare to touch a pot!'
Ke Xin felt a little contempt in her heart, and she rolled her eyes. The way her father was acting was weird, and she even thought that he was possessed by the Hart Ghost of Acoustic City.
"!" The girl jerked in surprise when her father suddenly touched her hand. He suddenly started caressing it with his thumb. A weary smile hung on his face that made her feel goosebumps all over.
Zhong Cao Yan's smile faded. His expression became dim like the lights in the room. "My daughter, people say that the strongest grimoire is fate. Once something is fated, nothing can change it."
The young girl understood what her father was saying, and she had already accepted her fate of dying as a cripple. There was nothing she could do against the invisible spell that shrouded this whole world.
Her father continued as his expression brightened up a bit, "The opposite of fate is chance and choice. When a chance arrives, you have to make a choice. One of those choices is part of fate, yet the other is a distributary of the river of fate."
"For the stuff inside this black pot, I went into the worst place on the globe and came out alive. I don't know whether it is part of fate or not, but I managed to get you a chance to cultivate again. I, myself, am not sure if it will work, but the choice is yours."
"I did my best as a father… No matter which choice you take, I will always love you from the depths of my heart."
Zhong Cao Ke Xin found tears streaming down her father's cheeks. Sadness and joy were reflected in them. She never found him alien like before, and this was the father she knew and loved all this time.
Drip… drip… drip…
Huge tear drops came from her face. She realized how wrong she was to judge her parent earlier because of how he presented himself. This man had suffered for a long time; the wounds on him were all gained while shielding her.
She had no right to judge him!
"I am sorry…" Zhong Cao Ke Xin forced back her tears and snorted, "You have been through a lot… just, just to…"
The young girl didn't finish her words, as Zhong Cao Yan wiped the tears from her face. "It is okay. I will be the devil to make sure you are okay."
A smile…
The smile on Yan's face meant the world to Ke Xin. As long as he kept on smiling like that, then everything in the world didn't matter.
She opened the lid of the pot, and the smell was enough to make one salivate, but she didn't register that in her mind. She took a bite and the stuff inside tasted like dog fart, but that didn't stop her.
She ate, and ate, over and over again, until the pot was empty.
The tracks of her tears were on her face as she put on a smile. "Thank you for the food. That was the best meal I ever had!"
Zhong Cao Yan felt touched and more tears came from his face.
That didn't last long, as his daughter suddenly shrieked, "Ahn~! So hot!"
Her face turned red as she felt a tingling sensation over her most sensitive nether region. It felt like an invisible hand was gently going in and out of her cunt.
'What the hell is this?!' The bald man shook his head a few times. He knew what his daughter was going through and wanted to help. 'How am I supposed to help her?... I am her father for crying out loud!'
Zhong Cao Yan felt aroused, and he knew if he stayed, he would commit a sin.
He ran away to a nightclub!
He wasn't worried about his daughter, as his fatherly instincts told him that she was going to be okay.
Ke Xin's right hand was placed in between her legs which had a white liquid flowing out, and the other carrying her medium-sized bosom, scrunching her nipple with fierce might.
She felt like a tentacle was wrapped all around her, doing the unforgivable.
This was a method used by demonic book lords to get the person whom they liked to get horny and reach their first climax before forcing them onto that person if they wanted to.
The gender doesn't matter, and the reasons vary depending on the person.
For Zhong Cao Ke Xin, who got poisoned for overusing a certain water grimoire, this was the perfect way to remove it from her body without giving herself to some man. It was a one-time thing, after all.
Boom!
Her jindan shattered, and a new one started to be formed again.
Her slip dress was no more, and her heavenly body was exposed. From a single glance, a man could feel their third leg rising up like a snake under grass.
Ke Xin felt troubled by this whole situation, but joy soon flashed over her eyes. "I can feel my legs again!"
She struggled to stand up, since it had been a while since she was able to walk. In that time, she closed her eyes to check the condition of her Primeval World.
It was a giant, brightly lit hall with bookshelves making up the wooden walls. In the middle of the hall was band equipment for playing music.
A few miles just above that, there was a dull yellow spiral orb the size of a human fist, made up of 87 small orbs.
"My stages went down, but my talent is now A!" Ke Xin exclaimed in joy with her eyes wide open.
She might start at the academy a year later than her peers, yet, she planned to best them all. With her A-grade talent, it was only a matter of time before she reached the next realm.
At that moment, she decided to call Zhong Xie, who got the same poison as her, to tell her this good news. She might have tried to hide it, but that was similar to covering fire with bare hands.
Things would get dangerous for her father then.
The person who had caused this distributary in the river of fate had finally settled down in an apartment building.
After cultivating, working out, and eating, he had much less to do than wander in his thoughts.
He looked at the near half-moon up in the sky with an indifferent look, as soft music played from his tablet. Compared to Earth, the music here sucked and focused on cultural and soul themes. Deejays didn't exist here, despite Acoustic City being the only place with access to the internet in the whole world.
What if there is no pop, rnb, hip-hop, house, and electronic dance music?
I can just make some!
However, that was far from his concerns at the moment. He had to prioritize the issue of how he is going to survive from being killed in the next few years. Even if he manages to keep his head from being busted by a fire spell, can he survive past all the Armageddons?
'As they say; fate is the hardest thing to escape from. When a plant is grown it is fated to be harvested.'
'In this world, I am like a chess piece, a pawn at the moment, surrounded by various chess pieces with their own kings. I can't join any troop for special reasons, I might be hidden among the white pieces, but soon the players will notice that I am a red piece instead.'
'When that moment arrives, I am afraid…'
'Nah, let's just take things slow. Not too slow, but a kind of slow that will keep me alive.'
Gu Mickey smiled and took a sip of the coke in his hand, but he cringed again. "Seems like I need to make my own coke factory
