Chapter 2 : you've been hit by

Katashi found himself having a clean shot towards the killer.. But...

But he sensed a gun point scratching his head from the side. When he looked towards it, there was Luigi Charles , one of the most notorious and strongest gangster in the infamous "men of prey" gang.. He also had two of his gang members beside him with one holding the old man who met Katashi before.

"Help me, detective" cried the old man

Katashi realised that this was the rogue gang the old man was talking about by looking at his face. Katashi found an opening and escaped from the gun-point and shot the guy holding the oldman . When the other gang member tried to attack Katashi , Katashi dodged and shot both his knees . But still the member tried to shoot Katashi, Katashi delivered a bullet through the gangster's head splattering his brain matters all around the place. The old man, in this gap , fleed to a safer place away from the ruckus and the stampede. Luigi tried to kick Katashi with his giant body, somehow Katashi escaped and shot two bullets at him in which one missed and another hit his leg. Katashi pulled to trigger again to bring down the massive Luigi but then realised he was out of ammo.

With a large sinister grin Luigi punched Katashi away into the stampede starting a fist fight. Katashi got up and got ready with stance to fight him, and soon they started wrecking each other. Katashi manages to predict Luigi's attacks and keeps dodging it. Luigi gets irritated and started to throw punches and kick randomly towards Katashi. Among those few hit Katashi,but he continuously manages to dodge it .

"Huh... I've never heard - huh- detectives would be physically fit like this" gasps Luigi with the same sinister look.

"Guess you never heard of me before, Luigi " replied Katashi

"Ohh well... So you know my name" said the massive Luigi

"I know your full history, but I never predicted that you were a man of prey"

"Well now you can see that I'm a man of prey , you are my prey"

As Luigi charged towards Katashi , Katashi stood his ground , waited and at the right moment he blew a single yet effective punch on Luigi's nose which caused Luigi to feel giddy and lose his balance. Katashi pushed Luigi towards a wall and pinned him against it.

"Why.. why are you creating a ruckus here?" Questioned Katashi

"It was hi--"

Suddenly a sharp gun shot just like an inch away from Katashi's ear hit the wall. Katashi turned behind him with a shock and saw the guy in hoodie walk directly towards him.. Katashi wasn't ready for another fight after beating up Luigi but still took his stance. Suddenly Makoto stood infront of Katashi and started to aim for the guy.

By the time Makoto press the trigger he was interrupted by Yukio accidentally dashing into him and they both fell to the ground . The guy in hoodie vaulted over some dumpsters and walls and jumped over a roof

"Heyy... Partner, help me !! " shouted Luigi with a faint voice.

The guy aimed his gun and fired , not at Katashi instead at Luigi. The bullet hit Luigi's leg on the very same spot where Katashi shot him. Saying "(sigh) useless" After which he left.

With disappointment and anger Luigi yelled at the guy by the time his hands are surrounded with the handcuffs by Katashi

Katashi saw Luigi not cooperating with his actions. Luigi started to wrestle Katashi with his hands being locked. With pale stare at Luigi, Katashi's fist blew a tight punch staright on the giant's nose again which made him bleed to faint.

1935 - Stuttgart, Germany

A 27 year old man runs down the streets with a painting in his hand. The four men who were chasing him with revolvers in their palms had a hard time tracking him in the dead of night with less street lamps. The guy with the painting found a place pitch black and hurriedly hid in the darkness.

The men were just like a 6 feet away from him but couldn't notice him due to the darkness ,unless one among them fired the revolver at the sky up above creating a sudden flash lighting up the place where the guy with painting hid.

"Hide no more ,Theo" , Theodore froze down to his bones realizing that the chasers have noticed him , "hand over the painting"

In an instance ,Theo threw a rock at one of the men but they caught him off guard anyways

After a few minutes , Theo woke up to find himself in a big mansion in Germany, a sudden sharp voice "may I know what made you to flee from the mansion?" Was coming up from a staircaise and down came an old lady , she must be in her 80's wearing a grand luxurious dress revealing her face into the light from the chandelier.

"It's not fair, you can't just take away this and change the artist , this is MY painting... I painted it ,Mother"

"SON!!" Said the old lady in a commanding tone,

'I won't say this again ,... Give me the painting!"

Theodore hesitated but finally gave the painting to his mother. The tall doors of the mansion opened and came in , Friedrich , the lady's only biological son.

Theodore went to his room

"Hey mother , - woah you got that painting for me ?!? Thank you!" Said the 32 year old Friedrich .

"No problem son , all you need to do is put your signature below and it's yours" says the lady.

"Ahh, leave that to me , and thanks brother for giving your painting to me- forever" said Friedrich grinning at Theo.

Theo grinned back at Friedrich, which gave the biological son chills down his spine for a moment.. His smile , Theo's criminal smile looked as if he had a plan .

"Friedrich , how is Ella" asked the mother

"Ah she's fine.. you got another grandson" said Friedrich

"Sweet to hear son"

The police soon arrived at the riot spot and cleared all the public. The place was such a bloody mess that they needed four ambulances to clear all the dead bodies. It was later discovered that Dr.Izaki's wife was in that crowd and she was the first person to get shot and die. And three fourth of the dead bodies were her bodyguards.

"YUKIO!!! Are you gone crazy ?!?!? Where your brains at?!?" As Makoto was yelling , Yukio was apologizing to him.

"Makoto , Yukio.. get in the car" said Katashi in the driver seat.

Makoto sat next to Katashi in the front seat but he was not trying to stop his scoldings.

Yukio got fed up and put on his earpods playing the song 'smooth criminal'.

With the vibe of the song Yukio opened the car's door (cluck), came inside and sat in the backseat

"♪ As he came into the window, It was sound of a crescendo ♪"

He opened the car door and got inside in the backseat and saw a huge trash bag packed up near him, next to his seat. His face shrank in disgust by the sight of garbage packed up in a greasy trash bag inside the car , that too next to his seat.

Katashi accelerated slowly inbetween the crowd.

"♪ He came into her apartment , He left the blood stains on the carpet ♪" ,

Yukio was looking outside the window at the scene of the police and few people clearing the corpses.

"♪ She ran underneath the table, How could see she was unable♪" , he also had a sight of many people crying over deadbodies which were once their family or friend.

"♪ She ran into the bedroom, She was struck down it was her doom ♪" he had a glance of the spot where Katashi and Luigi were fighting and remembered the fist fight between them.

"♪ Annie , are you okay? So Annie, are you okay? Are you okay Annie ?.. ♪"

"Are you alright sir?" asked Makoto followed by the reply "yes" by Katashi.

"So- where we going now ?" Asked Makoto

"To the hospital"

"Oh well.. you're already hurt , so let me drive sir. You may take some rest"

"No, I'm good"

Makoto was totally confused by Katashi's behaviour because he never seen Katashi go to hospitals whenever he is injured.. He always had a first aid kit which he trusted the most in his house.

Even when he had fatal injuries he will call upon his friend who's a doctor to treat him at home.

"It's good as long as you are alright sir" said Makoto.

Yukio was seeing all these conversation as if he was seeing a silent movie but with MJ's classic bursting in his ear

"♪ Annie are you okay ? Will you tell us that you're okay? ♪"

Makoto was concerned as well as confused about Katashi.

"♪ There's a sign in the window , That he struck you - a crescendo Annie ♪"

Sudden memories of him encountering the "Devil" swept through Yukio's mind.

"♪ He came into your apartment , He left the blood stains on the carpet ♪"

Katashi raised speed of the car when he got out of the crowd. Makoto was still nervous seeing Katashi and his blood soaked knuckles holding the steering.

"♪ Then you ran into the bedroom, You were struck down , It was your doom ♪"

Suddenly a thought interrupted Yukio. "What happened to Luigi?" Was the thought. Makoto was eager wanting to know why Katashi is driving to hospital.

Both Yukio and Makoto remained silent

"♪ Annie, are you okay? So Annie , are you okay? Are you okay Annie ?♪"

Finally Yukio asked, "Mr.Katashi , where is that big guy you were fighting with? What happened to him?" Followed by Makoto asking, "I've never seen you hit the hospital before , may I know why are you going there all of a sudden sir?"

Katashi remained calm and speechless was going at speed 80. He showed no interest in answering their questions.

"♪ You've been hit by ...(kick ) (kick)♪"

Suddenly the car flew up in air after running over a speed bump and landed down on road with a jerk.

"♪ You've been hit by ....(kick) (kick)♪"

The jerk made the loosely tied trash bag untie itself, revealing what's inside

Yukio and Makoto turned towards it and was shocked witnessing the fainted giant , Luigi covered in blood running from his nose. Yukio realised that what he thought was grease was actually blood

"♪ A SMOOTH CRIMINAL ♪"

Katashi adjusted his mirror towards Luigi, staring him.

"That guy's one damn smooth criminal", murmured Yukio to himself seeing at Katashi
