20. School and... Troubles

'Gigantic.' That is the only word that can describe this place. The bael compound pales in comparison to this academy compound. 

Bael is the richest Devil pillar. So saying that the academy compound is bigger than the Baels… is saying something. 

Now… Class 1-B should be on the second floor. But before I go...

[Summoning Jutsu]

Honestly, I am quite happy with the five crows flying over me. And above that, I am happy that my summons are still active in this world.

I discovered them being active when I was going through my past world's jutsus and abilities. Similar to other kinds of summons which allows the user to summon both low-level creatures and high leveled ones,  I can summon every kind of Corvus other than the 𝗥𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴 '𝗔𝗸𝘂.' 

For some reason, I cannot summon him… yet. There are four types of Corvid summons.

The first ones are without any consciousness. They receive commands and follow them accordingly. So they are best suitable for spying.

The second types are conscious and have the ability to talk. They are useful for delivering messages.

The third type is called a warrior-crow. They are the ones with high intellect and battle instincts. Their size varies according to the amount of chakra used to summon them. They are very fast so they come extremely handy during battles.

As for the fourth type… well, it is only one Corvus, that is the 𝗥𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴 '𝗔𝗸𝘂.' 

While not as big as the tailed-beasts, King Aku is still huge. He is bigger than most houses… This might not seem that impressive compared to the other summons, but his extreme speed along with his lightning, water, wind, and yin release is extremely dangerous. Not to mention his Genjutsu which can put many masters of illusions to shame.

And his special ability [Shadow Manipulation] which is basically an upgraded version of the Nara clan's [Shadow Imitation Technique] can affect over 200 people at the same time.

Looking around I didn't see anyone so I decided to let my summons scout the area. The memories will be passed onto me when I undo the summons, similar to the shadow clones.

I should get going. I definitely don't want to be late on the first day of my school. 

[Shunshin]

[[Timeskip]]

"What… Did I even expect?" I said, looking at the blue-haired devil running in the nude and the cyan-haired devil lying unconscious on the floor. 

*Sigh* I will rather send my clones to school from now on. It was fun… but got boring pretty fast.

[Flashback]

"Now, where exactly is class 1-B. This floor is huge." I mumbled looking around the place.

"I can help you if you don't mind." The voice made me jump.

Now… this spooked me. No one has ever been able to bypass my senses and she just randomly appeared behind me. Is it her bloodline ability that allows her to hide her presence? 

"*Giggle* sorry for scaring you. I am Clara, Clara Isis Gaap. I know the name doesn't go well with my surname, but it was given by my father. So, yeah I am kind of stuck with it. By the way... you are?" 

My first thought about her was 'How the hell did she bypass my senses?' And my second thought was 'Damn, she talks a lot.' 

"I am Shisui Seere. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, miss Gaap." I tried to sound polite, but she didn't seem to like it.

"Call me Clara. It feels weird being called by my pillar name." 

Now, many devils would prefer to be called by their pillar name instead of their first names. Why? Because they think others who are not the same rank as them, don't deserve to call them by their name. Now, this is not the case for all devils.  Like Clara, there are many who don't like it either. But most devils do, so it is better to be safe than sorry.

And this Devil Academy is weird, children can join only when they turn ten and because of that, some devils join a few months early while the rest join months later. There is no fixed admission time in the Devil Academy.

Since the devil population is low, it doesn't matter much to them. They quickly teach the ones that join late in private sessions, to reach the same level as the ones that joined early.

"So… Clara, shouldn't we be going to class? I don't want to be late on my first day." I am a punctual person, so I hate being late.

"*Giggle* We should. Let's go." She said almost dragging me with her.

She seems friendly… a bit too friendly.

"So, when did you join?" I asked her while being dragged. 

"Just three months ago. The boy who joined the earliest was around 6 months ago. So, not much of a gap." She answered.

"I see. So, how is school? Did the teachers teach you anything interesting?" I ask, making her eyes glitter.

"Oh yes, they did. They taught us a lot of things, even the history of the strongest beings in the world." 

I highly doubt that. Most likely they fabricated seventy to eighty percent of the stories to show the devils in the limelight. 

"And they expl-"

*THUD*

She couldn't complete her sentence as she crashed into another devil while dragging me with her. 

"Ow ow ow… That hurt." 

"Look where you are going, worms! That's why I told you Diodora, not to come to the lower floors. Now we need to deal with these peasants." Said a blue-haired devil.

"Now, now… We know that they are far lower than us. So, there is no need to lower ourselves to their level? Forget them and let's go." Replied, the now named Diodora.

"Pardon? Were you referring to us?" Now I don't get into kid quarrels, but I do not respond well to insults either.

"Do you see anyone else here, worm?"  

My devil pride was screaming at me to punch this guy, but my brain was preventing me from doing so. Punching a high ranked devil could end badly… politically.

With a smile I said. "I am sorry on her behalf. But what you said was...rude, extremely so."

I was considered an anomaly even among the Uchihas. Almost every Uchiha had trouble keeping their pride in check, but it was never an issue for me. Another Uchiha that could do the same was Itachi, even his mother who was known for her calmness would lose her cool sometimes. But, Itachi and I were totally different from the rest of the Uchihas.

So keeping my pride in control was not an issue for me even now… but do I let these devils leave without appropriate punishment?

I will give them a last chance. If they take it, they are good but if not… we will see.

"Why don't you let her apologize for bumping into you and in return you apologize to the two of us for insulting us." I said stepping in between Clara, who looked scared and the blue-haired devil, who was fuming with anger.

"You want me to apologize punk?!" He almost roared.

"Now, I agree with her apologizing for bumping into us and wasting our time, but I definitely don't agree with having to apologize to you low-ranked devils." Said Diodora who was silent for a while.

Well… you know what? I have had enough.

'Kneel' My eyes change into the Sharingan as I command them. 

Both of them fell down on their knees.

Both of their eyes go wide as the blue-haired devil said.

"What is happening. I can't move my b-body." Both of them did their best to stand up… and failed miserably.

"Now now, there was no need to get down on your knees just to apologize to us." I said putting a hand on the cyan haired devil's shoulder.

"I-I think we should go." Clara said meekly.

"But don't you think that not accepting their apology will be rude?" I said trying… to trigger them even more.

"What did you say punk? You really want us to apologize to your extinct trash pillars you p-"

His entire body crashed into the wall behind him even before he could complete his sentence.

It is common knowledge among the devils, that they are not allowed to harm a pillar member who is higher than them in rank. Even if he or she insults them. But this rule does not apply if the said person is insulting a pillar. All the 72 pillars came in existence at the same time, so despite him being a higher ranked pillar. He is not allowed to insult my pillar, he can insult me but not the pillar.

So him bad-mouthing my pillar gave me more than enough authority to send him flying.

"You dare hit me!! I am Zephyrdor Glasya-Labolas and no one dares to hit me." Roared the devil as his ornaments attached to his pants started to jingle and clank.

"I sure did. No matter how high ranked your pillar is, you are not allowed to insult mine." I replied calmly.

"You piece of sh*t! Your trash pillar is nothing! I can erase your pillar if I want to!" He said.

A smile crept up on my face as he said that.

Diodora seemed to have figured out what I was trying to do.

"Zephyrdor, you fool!" He indeed figured it out. But before he could say anything…

"Very well then. Since you are not going to respect my pillar…

Zephyrdor Glasya-Labolas, for insulting my pillar. I, Shisui Seere, challenge you... to an honor duel."
