To the Palace

"M-mom…" She fell over her knees, holding Akali tight who was slightly trembling now but didn't lift her head up from her mother's shoulder. All she could hear were loud growls and howls.

"Your turn." The Vampire form earlier sneered nearing her but her eyes were stuck to the brown wolf's body.

It had a long slash of burned fur and skin extending from its under tummy to above its back and near the spine. The raw flesh from underneath was visible and the wolf was wincing in pain and blood over the floor.

Why isn't it healing? She kept staring at it with horrified eyes and her heart pounding hard, unaware of the fact that the Vampire had reached right above her head and had his weapon lifted in the air.

She snapped out of her trance over something wet splashed over her face in tiny droplets. The sensation was followed by a low rumbling growl. The Vampire who was about to attack her fell in front of her on the ground with a thud, his neck decapitated.
