Burn the world

"What is that?" She parked the car aside while her eyes were fixed on the road in front of her. It looked like something bundled up, laying in the middle of the road, blocking the way.

"Wait," Mason stopped her from getting out of the car by gently holding her forearm. "Let me see it."

She didn't resist and nodded in approval as whatever that thing was didn't peak up her interest. She thought it may be some trash bag which fell out of the vehicle while it was being taken away because the area they were currently driving through didn't have any houses around. It was almost like driving in the middle of some forest with thick trees and woods surrounding it.

Her peaceful expressions changed in a moment as she squinted her eyes and frowned. "Mason!?" She came out of the car and called his name while taking a few cautious steps towards him.
