Lynx's base, if you could call it that, it looks more like a kid playing pretend in his little hideout. It's an abandoned factory, massive pipes that used to shoot out smoke, thick walls designed to insulate the out from the in, and a sign that reads. Fox den, in sloppy letters, it's almost like a joke.
Lynx however is anything but a joke, arms the size of tree trunks, thick veiny legs, and a face bult with malicious intent. He's not just intimidating, he's strong and clever, being a former knight captain. His people that surround him have all been scrounged from the streets of Last Honor. The name of the city given, because it was just that for the soldiers stationed here. Blood flows like rivers, and even through the hem river, both from monsters and humans. Forcing the average man to practice physical/combat training to survive.
Lynx's gang has picked up a few skillful members, and each sat beside and around Lynx at a crusty old table.
From left to right goes, seat of snake, a brimming hat detailed by a skinny yet well defined man, his name is Author Jackson. Seat of Lion, a giant of a man built like a brick and with a face as handsome as one, his name is Pheap Louis. Seat of halk, A lanky girl with long drapey ponytails, and a lust for knives, her name is Liz Snow. Next an empty seat, seat of tiger, left for Jewy. Lynx himself, wearing an iconic white suit, his frame makes you feel intimidation from just the air. Seat of badger, a gifted boy, who knows his way around a lock, Timmy Higs. Seat of Jackal, A young masked person who hides their whole being, name unknown. Seat of fox, a lost ward surgeon who could be in the big leagues, but for one mistake that sent him down to the curves, Will Snow. And finally my seat, seat of wolf.
"Long time no see little Jonny." Exclaimed Pheap.
Jonny couldn't bring myself to respond, he's too excited and way too nervous.
"Since everyone's here, I would like to begin." Started Lynx. "
"SSSSS." Hissed Author.
"Shut it, Snake. Or I'll beat your head in." Demanded Pheap.
"Relax, I'll need all of you to succeed." Said Lynx. "The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. Jacky of the Black Lion group has chosen us as the entry to the hundred mile ceremony. Why, as I'm sure you're asking yourselves, would this group want us. Well they don't think they are hiring us, they think they are hiring the Rhine mercenary group. A company that I developed the falsehood for during my time in the military. I falsified documents, disobeyed orders, snuck out of camp, all for this. Black Lion feels they lack assurance to best this year's competition, and due to rule 56 chapter 8 of Hundred mile ceremony, says that due to lack of ability or readiness for competing, a stand in can be called to continue the ceremony."
"So what are we just mercenaries now?" Asked Liz.
Lynx chuckled. "Not quite, we are participating and maybe Jonny can get first place, but that's not our goal, our goal is to steal the crescent moon from below the chapel of swords."
"SSSS" Added Author.
Pheap stood up. "I warned you."
A heat wave of peer burning magic sent him back into his seat.
"Sorry boss."
"Now, now keep that energy for the fight to come."
