"Form a contract with me," he said, catching my attention, and I narrowed my eyes.

"Say, are you willing to form a contract with me?" he asked again, leaving me uncertain. As I looked back on my life, I realized I had nothing left, so it didn't matter what type of contract he proposed; I had already lost everything I once loved.

After recalling my painful memories, I didn't feel the slightest bit of fear about this contract, so I nodded my head. Seeing my nod, the unknown guy flashed a big grin on his face.

"Well, now that it's settled, I think you should rest a little bit," he said and snapped his fingers. Suddenly, a tired feeling took over my body, and my eyes began to close. With the remaining strength I had, I looked towards the guy in front of me, and then everything turned dark.

"Mmmm..." I tried to speak, to struggle, but some unknown force had taken control of me, rendering my mouth closed.

"Well, you've heard her, right? She is now my customer, so you guys can leave now," the guy's voice echoed, and I looked towards him.

"Go away before I change my decision to let you go," he snapped his fingers again, and I regained my ability to speak. I didn't know what type of spell he had used on me, but getting my voice back was very satisfying.

"No, we will not leave without that girl," I protested, knowing we couldn't leave without her, or our master wouldn't let us stay alive.

"Oh, and you think you can take her from me?" the guy challenged, his crimson-red eyes piercing through us, causing our bodies to tremble.

"We...we can't leave without her. I don't care even if you are stronger than us. But we are six, while you are ju...just one," I stammered, struggling to get the words out.

"Oh, so you are one of those who think that numbers can win against absolute strength," he remarked, his red eyes shining with intensity.

"Yes, and after all, you are just a normal human. What can you do alone?" I countered, mustering the last bit of courage I had left, trying to intimidate the guy in front of us.

And hearing me, a frown appeared on the guy's face as he touched his head and his face.

"Wait, really?" he sighed disappointedly, looking towards us with a disappointed expression.

"What can I say? After all, I was sealed for many years. It looks like my power has greatly decreased due to that. I can't even take my real form also," he confessed, acknowledging his weakened state.

Suddenly, hearing that his power had decreased, a look of confidence came over us as we nodded at each other.

We didn't know how or why, but by hearing him, we could tell that he was weak right now, and this was the chance we needed to take down this threat and rescue our companion.

"Amka Sumatra kamnusi task," the four mages chanted, summoning their strongest water spell as a big 5-meter blue magic circle formed on the ground, and a one-headed blue water dragon emerged from it.

"Oh, Water Dragon spell, a 5th-star spell, nice," the guy remarked, standing his ground without care that four-star rank mages were using their strongest spell against him.

"Garusta," the four of them launched their spell together, and a 15-meter-long water dragon attacked the guy with inhuman speed.

"Well, now this is interesting," the guy remarked without even moving an inch. The dragon collided with him, causing a massive explosion that shook the whole temple, sending large rocks falling from the ceiling towards the place where our attack had just exploded.

When the dust settled, we gazed upon a 20-foot-deep crater where the guy stood moments ago.

"Haaaa... He talked so big like he was unstoppable. Had me worried for a second," I chuckled, and everyone agreed, scanning the remnants of our attack.

"Now, let's find the girl and make tracks; time's ticking," I urged, but our search came up empty-handed.

"Where's the girl? Did you guys...?" My voice cracked with panic as I turned to the mages, but they denied any involvement.
