Developing the Valley(Fusion of ToS into GOT)

A guy transmigrates into a royce and tries to develop the valley. * *I do not own Game of Thrones, Tyranny of Steel or any works I use here. I don't aim to earn anything from this, I won't even create any kind of accounts like p*treon to receive anything. * Just to warn you, in this fic I'm basically merging two works that I really like, Tyranny of Steel and Game of Thrones with just a few changes in the initial arcs. I'm not a writer, my goal is to encourage other people to write a better fic for me to read, either because they thought the idea was cool or just because they hated my writing. I just make a request to let me know when they write so I can read it too. Thanks for reading.

While a young man was being whipped, in Runestone, Artys had just finished his daily breakfast and started the task of starting to build his irrigation system, based on a system used in his previous life, commonly called wheel-line irrigation. . In its previous life, this irrigation system supplied water to vast fields across the United States of America. With this system in place, House Royce would efficiently water its many crops without the need for multiple farmers to water them manually. Eventually, this would allow for fewer farmers while using large plots of land for cultivation.

After that, Artys went to find Axel, who was overseeing steel production. Axel told him that Lord Royce was so impressed by the amount of steel that he didn't know what to do, and eventually Axel managed to convince him to let Artys run the steel business.

"We will sell between 3-5 tonnes, I'm sure in these uncertain times there must be a buyer for that much steel."

Axel scratched his beard while thinking

"And the rest?"

With an excited expression on his face, he showed them the plants in the irrigation system.

Then he explained the benefits the system would bring to the Royce lands and how they would employ the peasants who would be out of work in future factories.

Artys finally allowed Axel to work on the irrigation system. It would take a while to produce, but he figured it could be done in a matter of months. In half a year at most, the fields of House Royce would be properly irrigated, ushering in a new era of agriculture. By then, he had hoped to have some of his mechanized inventions in production, such as the combine, seeder, and steel plow.

Now that he had fulfilled his plans for the day he returned to the Castle.

Going to the dining room, I see my father sitting at the head of the table, I arrived just in time for dinner. Taking notice of me, my father greets me.

"Artys, you're finally back. I've been wanting to talk to you." Taking a seat in front of my father, I prepare to hear him.

"Your grandfather sent us a raven from King's Landing, he decided the time had come to take care of the mountain clans, and he decided the task would be a nice name day gift for you as you are now healthy and strong."

"You can deal with them as you see fit. You will be sent with a host of men from across the Vale. Most of them are untrained recruits, so their training will be up to you."

"He will give you xxxx silver stags, for supplies and wages for his men during the training period. After that you will receive another xxxx every month until the campaign is over, as long as you show results."

Show results? He said I can deal with them any way I see fit. If all goes well, I can do like Tyrion and convert them to my side. There are about 3,000 mountain clansmen in the Vale. If I can somehow get them on my side, I can field one of the greatest armies in the Vale in no time!

Lord Yohn then stares at me with the most intense gaze I've ever seen from him. "If your campaign is successful, our House will be praised throughout the Vale for its accomplishments. As little annoyance as the mountain clans may be these days, they have haunted the Vale since the Andals have been in the Seven Kingdoms. This is yours. chance to make your name known in Westeros." In other words, don't screw it up.

The rest of our meal was spent in relative silence, with a few words being exchanged between us about our respective days gone and general small talk.

(N.A.: I introduced this part about the campaign against clans, from another fic that I read and really liked "A Restrictive Game

By Creamulon" too bad there are few chapters of it currently. I also didn't put the values because I don't want to have to specify that too much later.)

I do not own Game of Thrones, Tyranny of Steel or any works I use here. I don't aim to earn anything from this, I won't even create any kind of accounts like p*treon to receive anything.
