Chapter 2

In a place where the sky stays dark all year round with occasional screams of what seem to be humans bound with chains. This place is the boundary between human territory and demon territory but because of a surprise attack from demons, the human town Sertia which was also close to the borders was easily conquered in only a single night.

Even though the town have many guards and some Elementalist at the intermidiate stage the sheer number of the demons overwhelmed the forces of humans. The town got razed to the ground and the residents, guards and elementalist, children, oldpeople, women none were spared, the men's were chained and got transported to the demons border town and slave them to do work while the women was sent to the capital to be, well they"ll be a plaything to the demons after arriving there.

*Swoosh* *PAK*

"Come on, move it you shit" said by a figure that looks like a human but the horn and tail give him the looks like of a demon. This is the basic feature of low demons, a single horn in the forehead with a tail. The higher the rank demons have, the different they look, like two long horns, a pair of wings, multiple tails and a more dense elemental power in darkness and so on.

With another swing of the whip, the human who was tied by chains was hit hard in the back leaving a nasty wound, with that last strike the human slave can't take it anymore and drop to the ground while gasping for breath. Looking at the demon who struck him, the human glare at it fiercely, that if looks could kill this demon would've already died a thousand times.

"Vile demon when my kingdom founds out about what you did to its nearby towns they will make sure you'll be exterminated till nothing of you shits survive" spat the human hatefully. This human was once a guard from a nearby town and its been here for months and the kingdom should have already known about the Demons sudden attack.

After hearing the human's threat, the demon suddenly laugh crazily while whipping the human mercilessly,

*PAK* PAK* *PAK*

"Haha what guts, you worm, do you really think we're afraid of your weak kingdom" said the demon arrogantly and look at the human with disdain. The human was still alive after the brutal whipping, and with a quick movement the demon was already near the human and grip his head and pull the human closer to the demon. Feeling the strong grip, the human grunt in pain and struggle to look at the demon whose face will cause sleepless nights and spit at it.

"Hah trash" the human said with a smirk. Facing with this smug human in front of him, he was enrage and throw the human in the air, gripping its whip, the demon was shrouded in darkness and coated the whip with this darkness and with a fast swing, the human who was falling in the air sudennly split in half and with another swing cut in half again and again and again. Looking at the blood scattered around with a few meat-like object mix with it, this looks like what only the human remains.

"Hahahaha that was magnificent" the demon laughs maniacally and with darkness still shrouding him he looks more sinister than before. Witnessing this disturbing scene the other humans was so scared that some of them shit their pants and some other puke. "Okay you shits go back to work or you'll be next, hahahaha" the demon said menacingly and the humans who was powerless can only grit their teeth and hope to survive this hell.

Noticing a human with a strange clothing, a middle age man that looks like a guard whose riding a horse alongside the carriage sudennly became suspicious and command his comrades to stay alert. In this kind of place that was sorrounded by forest, was the bandits favorite spot to ambush and many cases of this happened. And with this man, alone in this dangerous place and with strange clothes really looks suspicious.

Inside the carriage, the space looks spacious and the decoration was only simple but the people inside this simple carriage not look simple at all, 2 women sat across each other, a tall and slender mature woman with a waist length blond hair, wearing an elegant gown that showcase her alluring body, currently facing her little sister with a tender smile and listening to her complaining about how their journey last too long.

"Elder sis are we there yet? Its been 3 days and we're still traveling, I'm bored already" said a girl that looks like the mature woman but younger with a blond hair tied in a ponytail. Pouting, Melinda state her grievance at her sister and look outside that only towering trees can be seen.

Looking at her pouting sister, Maria shook her head and softly said, "We're almost there we only need to pass this Werdia Forest and.." not finishing her words, Maria notice that the carriage suddenly slow downs and looking over the carriage window she can see a man with a strange clothing waving at them.

The 15 guards that guarding the carriage suddenly slow down their pace when approaching the man. They need to be so cautious because what they're guarding is not some ordinary people. These beautiful pair of sisters are from the nearby Kingdom's Sylveria Clan, a Noble Family in the kingdom. They're travelling in secret that only a few in the clan knows, and that these pair of sisters are already not in the kingdom. Because of the power struggle in the kingdom became much more intense than the previous days, the clan head of Sylveria decide to send his daughters to Werdia Town where the secret clan branch resides.

"HALT!!" the middle age man who notice Nezu from the distance stop their advance, looks like this man was the captain of this Entourage. Checking this smiling man in front of him, Williams suddenly said in a stern voice. "Who are you? What do you want from us?" since this man was waving at them, he guess that this man wanted something from them and because they are in a unfamiliar place he needs to confirm if this man isn't a bandit or if they ignore this, they might get sorrounded in all sides.

Facing the 15 guards who was on high alert that they would likely pounce on him if he did any unnecessary movements. Not caring about the intense situation, Nezu smilingly said, "Woah keep it cool man I just want a ride to a nearby town if it's okay." Since Nezu didn't know how long will it take till he arrive in a town it would be convenient if he could ride along them so he won't get lost.

Suddenly the carriage doors open and a beautiful mature woman with a waist length blond hair steps down. Before Williams could answer Nezu, he notice that Young Lady Maria already outside the carriage and with a swift movement he unmount his horse and quickly went on his knee and said respectfully, "Lady Maria you should stay inside the carriage it was still dangerous outside." Looking at this strong captain went on his knee, Maria then worriedly said, "Sir Williams you didn't need to this everytime you see me and I'm just curious why we stop suddenly since we've always been travelling for days and just occasionally stop to rest in some safe place."

But seeing that they're still in this Forest it seems not a safe place to rest, then she suddenly stare dazely at the man who's still smiling at them. Noticing this mature woman looking at him, Nezu also stare directly at her eyes and said nothing. Feeling this strange atmosphere Captain Williams and the other guards don't know what to do, but no one notice that while this was happening a guard in the back of the carriage suddenly reach his hands in his pockets and fetch something that looks like a pouch.

Opening the pouch, you could see a powder like substance, reaching his hand inside it, the guard get a fistful of powder and secretely scattered it through the air. No one even notice this event even after the powder was scattered in the air, as the powder was odorless, for humans that is. Those powder was special even though it's not harmful and odorless for humans, it was different when beast smells it, well they would become so ferocious, so mad and so hungry that they won't stop at anything even they died at the process. Now since there are humans in the vicinity where these powder scattered from, these mad beast won't stop eating this meat until no one survives.

While the strange atmosphere still continues a wolf like howl suddenly break the silence.
