Crossover World (2)

(AN: I'm thinking of making this arc slow-paced and longer than the others, so it might feel like the story doesn't progress at all in the chapters.)

When I used my hypnotic ability, the facial expressions of the guards changed abruptly from stern to relaxed.

I went up to the two of them and started asking questions. "Have there been any recent people or events that have shaken people up?" Because I wasn't in a hurry, I could start gathering some information here.

"Sir, very recently heroes were summoned from another world. I think there were three of them and I heard that they were all given incredible abilities by God." The younger guard quickly answered my question. Of course, this was due to hypnosis.

I thought the old guard would have more knowledge and I turned my attention to him. He understood what I wanted and started to give his explanation.

"Immediately after the heroes were summoned, they took control of all the surrounding kingdoms. All the princesses were shared among them. High-ranking people who expected the heroes to be people of better character tried to oppose them, but they were instantly beheaded with a death sentence. Because of their aggression towards other races, many people supported them in everything." I listened to what he had to say without interrupting the old guard.

"Is there anything else important I should know?" I asked him.

"At the moment, all 3 rule different kingdoms, but they have also created a council where they make decisions together. Last week they started a war against the giants. That's why the armies are on the move."

"Hmmm... And where is this town located?" I asked the old guard another vital question.

"This city is called Cristalica, sir. The Cristalica family has ruled it for generations and still does. It is also the border city of the kingdom where one of the heroes is staying, the kingdom of Pothevalon, so there are usually a lot of mercenaries, adventurers and soldiers here. Finally, one of the generals of the kingdom came here two days ago for some reason, but we don't know why. And rumor has it that this general is the woman of our hero." After the old man finished, I was lost in my thoughts.

'So they've already started assimilating human kingdoms. ROB said this is a crossover world. So at any moment, someone from any anime could show up. Most probably those princesses are also from anime and they were already engaged. And the three that came took them for themselves. Also, the rumor about this general is most likely true. I think I'd better go into the city and look around first.'

After I finished thinking to myself, I walked past the guards and entered the city, but there is something I said to them first. "Forget about this conversation and all about me."

The first thing that struck me when I entered the city after hypnotizing them into forgetting me was that it had a very calm atmosphere. There were not many people and everyone was friendly as if they knew each other. Merchants were selling their goods and families were out with their children. This atmosphere did not match what the guard said. I continued walking without thinking about these details.

There was a big mansion at the very back of the city. I think this was where the family that the guard was talking about lived. There was also an aura stronger than others emanating from that mansion. The general was staying there right now.

I can go straight to that mansion and do as I wish, but as ROB said, I need to think about this world more for relaxation. So for now I want to go to a tavern and have a nice meal.

After finalizing my decision, I headed toward a tavern I saw a little further down the road.
