Rahan's Pov.

Rahan was walking around the masjid when suddenly he saw a person walking.

He couldn't help himself from getting closer to having a look. As he came closer,

he recognized the person. It was the girl from this morning. The girl who took his

breath at first sight.

Early this morning he went for an Oreo ice cap after a long day at work, hoping to

get some fresh air. There he met this girl, and when they made eye contact she

looked at him as if she felt something. He couldn't help but wonder about her name

and continued to look back at her. She was drinking the same Oreo ice cap, he

could tell that it was her favorite of the way she was enjoying it.

He watched her from the corner of his eyes until the two girls were done with their

buns and drinks. The other girl must be her friend, he thought. And when to get his order. So many questions were dancing in his mind, What's

her name? How old is she?

"What am I thinking"

"Forget it," he said to himself and left.

Now that he saw her again he couldn't help but think if it was destiny that they met

again. It looks like she recognized him, Rahan couldn't help but smile at this

strange girl who seemed to be shy. Suddenly the girl smiled back and ran away.

It was surprising that she ran away all of a sudden,

Did I do something he thought and left.

As he came home and parked the car, he remembered the sweet smile the girl gave

him. What's wrong with you? Rahan asked himself as he went inside the house. To

his surprise, his mother came to see him today. ``You are home, said his mother

while coming from the kitchen wearing her apron.

"As-Salam-u-Alaikum mother," said Rahan, his mother didn't reply but instead just

stared at him.

"Oh" and he went to his mother and kissed her on the cheek and said

"As-Salam-u-Alaikum" again

Wa alaikum as salaam replied his mother

"How was your day today," asked his mother and he couldn't lie so he said, "It was

good".

Did you find a girl to marry?

Girl? Marry?

"Mother, we talked about this, and where's Dad, `` said Rahan. His mother looked

sad that he still hadn't found any women.

"He's at the masjid, you know how busy it is since there is a Jalsa happening next

week".

Rahan's parents were from the United Arab Emirates and since coming to Canada,

they struggled to maintain their deen and get used to living in Canada. When they

came here Rahan was born, at that time his parents finally settled down after being

able to build a masjid and own a restaurant. It must have been hard, he thought to

himself, and knew that no matter what he did it would never be enough for all the

hard work they did to make sure Rahan had a normal childhood and education.

Now that he was already twenty-one, it was his turn to take care of them as much

as he could in every way.

Rahan knew what his parents wanted from him most.

"When are you going to give me a grandchild" his mother would say every chance

she gets.

He tried to ignore it as much as he could, by keeping himself busy during the day

and making an excuse that he was tired at night.

Many girls were asked by his parents to marry him but most of them were only

doing it for money.

He already has a house, a few cars, and the Mehr ready now all he needs is a wife.

Rahan wanted a wife who could understand and know what to do every time

without anyone telling her. A girl who can read people's minds with just a glance.

His parents decided to let him choose whom he wanted to marry, and whomever he

chose they will support him in every way. It's hard to find someone like that

nowadays, the world has changed and people have changed.

The girl from this morning looked quite shy and cute, something told him to get to

know her.

"Now is not the right time," he told himself.
