Chapter Five

"We're alone now you can tell me what it is you actually want." I said letting go of Trevor's hand.

"I have to kill you." He said

I stopped dead in my tracks as I watched him remove a lighter from his pocket. The bastard was going to burn me to death ! No way !

I punched him setting off his concentration then twisted his arm to get hold of the lighter.

Gotcha!

An impressed Trevor looked back at me then burst out laughing. What the hell was wrong with this guy?!

"If I were you I'd be dragging my sorry ass away from here rather than laughing like a freaking psycho!"

" You gat skills Taurus."

"Stop calling me that!"

"But I'm faster than you and stronger so if I really wanted to kill you you'd be dead."

He moved closer to me and I moved back, he was starting to really piss me off. What the hell did he actually think I was in danger of? Or maybe it was just his way of distracting me from my mission. not a chance!

I walked past him determined to finish the remaining part of my journey alone.

" You got me into a lot of trouble Taurus" he shouted behind me and I quickened my pace. The faster I got away from him the better.

"Yeah .. then he said I got him into a lot of trouble."

" Maybe he's fallen for you !" Malesi shrieked on the other end of the line.

" Don't be dramatic sis. Maybe there was a hidden meaning behind it ?" Melissa asked.

"You think it's connected to the rumours in town?" Cian contributed.

"What rumours?" I asked.

"Well a few months ago there was a suspicion that the Kingston family have some sort of a secret society that runs an illegal operation but given the kind of influence they have in the area it just died down." She explained.

" But how did I get him in trouble if I don't even know about it?" I wondered out loud.

" They say that only specific families are involved so maybe Bancy thought Trevor put you in the loop." Malesi answered.

" How the hell did you know about Bancy?!"

" You didn't actually think we believed that you and Trevor weren't together during lunch, Right?" Melissa said as matter of fact.

"And that was some sort of pornography sweetie..even for you!" Cian stated.

" You followed me!"

" It was Liam's idea!" They all said in unison.

I rolled my eyes hating on karma that they were actually not noticed. That was not fare at all!

"It was just a stupid kiss."

"Stupid huh?" A male voice answered.

What . The..!

"How many people are on this call?!" I asked petrified.

"You idiot ! She wasn't supposed to know you guys were here!" I heard cian scold someone in the background.

"How long have they whoever they are been on the call??" I asked hoping they didn't hear me explain our adventure home with Trevor. As I told you

...I have very picky good luck!

"Before we added you." Cian stated calmly ." Like Ambrose came to visit..you did know he was my boyfriend,right?! And Liam and Ernest were with you so we ended up discussing you and Trevor and we called the twins then.."

"Stop! Stop! Stop! I don't even want details of what exactly you were discussing!" I said trying not to imagine all the weird things they might have talked about .

"Anyway girl ,rumours are true and you better hope that Trevor's dad doesn't find out otherwise he's done for." A voice which I made out to be Ernest said.

"If it was so much of a secret why would you tell us about it?" I asked not making sense of why he just bluntly exposed their society.

"Oh .. cause you're gonna pretend you know nothing about it and keep your mouth shut." Ambrose answered.

"Heyyy! Why am I the only person y'all are picking on? Why aren't the rest being threatened or whatever you are doing?" I whined.

" Oh sweetie we've known about it for the longest time and no one has even gotten suspicious of us plus your safer knowing and people not knowing."Malesi stated.

This was going to be a hell of a school year! I thought as I told them goodnight and ended the call.

" I'm gonna be stronger than you!" Nessa huffed as she hit the punching bag.

"Eeaaasssyyy tiger! Let's learn to walk before we run. I answered ducking the kick she aimed at me.

"I wish mommy was still here." She said removing her boxing gloves then she hugged me.

"I love you Katy!"

"I love the you that's not dripping sweat!" I answered sarcastically.

She grinned at me as she started running towards the living room.

"I'm telling Miranda you want a hug!" She screamed.

Huh?! Hug? I despised those!!

"Get back here you!" I screamed back running after her.

We finally arrived in school after I barely survived being suffocated to death in a hug. Who invented such torture anyway?!

I found the girls by my locker and by the change in atmosphere I could tell that the boys had just entered the school doors.

The girls seemed as if they had just seen a ghost which made me curious. I turned to see a very bruised Trevor and the boys faces were too serious as if they were still protecting him from whoever beat him up.

I'm pretty sure I didn't hurt him that much yesterday. Or did I?

They however walked past us like we were invisible which was quite weird as they usually at least said hi or made some annoying remark,something obviously happened.

We were headed to our last period when we saw them at a distance.

"I'm gonna ask what happened." I said which earning looks of disapproval from the girls.

"What if the monster who chewed up your boyfriend eats you for dinner?" Cian asked

I shook my head and grinned." I'm not exactly terrified of monsters...plus .. what's the worst that could possibly happen?" I asked walking towards Trevor.

I knew he could see me coming but he was surprisingly trying too hard to avoid my gaze. You have to do better than avoid my gaze Kingston I thought.

Stopping him dead in his tracks I gave him no option than to look straight at me.

"You're avoiding me." I said challenging him.

Before I could resist he pushed me inside a janitor's closet which I hadn't realized was even there and pinned me against the wall.

" As much as I'm flattered that you missed me I'm trying to keep you out of trouble so I'd appreciate it if we're not seen together for the next few days. I can sneak in your room though if you miss me too much." He winked

"Hell no! I mean yes I don't have to talk to you but no to the room suggestion. But what happened to you?"

"The less you know the better." He said as he led me out of the closet.

We had barely gotten out when I felt something hard hit my Head then everything went black.
