CHAPTER 18: Give Us A Try

　　[Eli's POV]

　　Moyra walked slowly in front of me, all the while muttering to herself about something that was clearly bothering her. A few times, I considered asking her what was on her mind, but then decided against it. After all, we still didn’t know each other well enough to confide in each other. Due to that, I left her to her thoughts and ignored my curiosity.

　　Inside the castle was still alive with guards and warriors checking to make sure all were accounted for after the disruption of the ball. Though we didn’t figure out where the negative energy was coming from, we were still searching to see if it could be found.

　　"Eli?"

　　Moyra’s voice drifted towards me, pulling me out of my head. Stopping in my tracks, I flicked my gaze to her to find that she too had stopped and was facing me.

　　"I’m sorry." She began, seeming unsure of herself.

　　"For what?" I asked, not sure of what she meant.
