CHAPTER 13: Settle In

　　[Moyra's POV]

　　"Are you sure about this?" I asked Eli as he led me down a hallway towards what would be my room.

　　This was probably the third time I had asked the same question, and no matter how many times I asked, he always gave the same response.

　　"Just be thankful." Eli huffed. "I hope it is to your liking."

　　"Mmmm."

　　I wasn't sure if he was remembering that far people could easily survive in the wilderness. Any simple room with a bed and blanket would do.

　　"Thank you for your hospitality." I murmured, taking in the blurry shapes in front of me. "I'm sure it is beautiful."

　　At my words, I could feel Eli's energy shift to something almost similar to pity. Despite wanting to tell him I was fine, I remained quiet. After all, I had no room to correct my benefactor.

　　"How about you get cleaned up?" Eli began, shifting his mood again. "I will send Matilda up with some food for you."

　　"Thank you."
