Chapter 30 : Drama

𝑳𝑼𝑵𝑪𝑯 𝑻𝑰𝑴𝑬 —————————

I laid my head on the table as soon as I heard the bell rang, I can't take it anymore...the more I see how Clara is trying to act pitiful and making the others believe her is unbelievably irritating me.

"Let's go grab lunch, I bet that old hag is waiting for us at the cafeteria." Matteo nudged my shoulders and I know who he's referring to, oh lord.

"Let's go-"

"Zeke, wanna have lunch together? I'm pretty new so I don't have any friends here yet..." I overheard Clara as she grabbed Zeke on the arm and shook it slightly to get his attention.

"Sorry, I'm not going. You can go with Clover and the rest if you want..."

"B-but-"

"Clara, if he says no then let him be, stop bothering him already," I spoke up as she turned her head and glared at me like she was going to kill me with those fierce-looking eyes of hers.

"Let's go, Matteo..."

"What about Zeke?"

"He said no, so let him be for today..." I lowly replied as I walked out of the classroom immediately and went to the cafeteria. I know I should maybe have brought Zeke with me but I think I'll leave him alone just for today...Matteo followed behind and stared at me.

We walked over to our usual table and sat down, Millie looked at me and raised her eyebrows, seeing that I wasn't much in the mood.

"Hey did something happen?"

"She's here in this school...should I be glad and happy about that?" Millie looked at me with her obvious confused face since she didn't know who the 'she' referred to.

"Who?"

"My sister."

"That mean old lady is here!" Millie exclaimed out loud, making people at the cafeteria stare at us but before she could say anything more, Matteo covered her mouth and shushed her.

"Yeah, and you don't have to be so loud about it."

"How could I not?! Don't you remember-" I stepped on Millie's foot under the table to stop her from continuing her sentence as she grabbed her feet in pain. Matteo just sat beside me, looking weirdly at us, not knowing what was going on.

Millie and I kept our silence, I laid my head on my palm as my arm rested on the table. The cafeteria was noisy as usual and there were even some students playing catch in here...

"So are you guys having anything?" Matteo broke the silence as he awkwardly asked Millie and I. I looked over at Millie and could tell that she was thinking, if anyone mentions food, she would be the first to reply...

"I'll just get a simple spaghetti from that stall over there~" Millie pointed out to one of the western stalls we had in the cafeteria that was at the end of the corner.

"Okay...How about you Clover~?"

"I'll just go with you and think while I'm at it." Matteo nodded his head as he got up from the seat and I followed after him. I took a look around the cafeteria stalls, to see what I would want to have. Even though, I do know what the stalls here all sell but why not just take my time and think a while.

"I'll just get a cold full cream milk, I'll go and help Millie get her food."

"Okay~!" I went over to buy Millie's order first since it has quite a queue while Matteo went to the other side of the cafeteria to get our food. Once I got the food, I went back to the table and Matteo was already seated down earlier than me.

"Thank you Clover~!" I smiled at Millie as she took the tray from my hands and settled it herself. I went over back to my seat and sat down beside Matteo, who was already digging into his bread like some hungry monster.

"Slow down, otherwise you'll choke." I chuckled as he stared at me with a piece of small bread in his mouth. I took out the straw from its plastic packaging and started drinking my milk in peace.

"So what are you gonna do about your sis? Is she still the same as before?" Millie abruptly asked, making me choke on my milk and coughed.

"Woah Woah, are you okay?" Matteo asked, handing me a tissue from the side tissue container that every table has in the cafeteria. I wiped my mouth and soon stopped coughing, staring down at the table.

"I don't know...maybe? I'm having detention because of her."

"Detention? What for?"

"Apparently, Clover left for the washroom in the middle of the lesson and soon Clara followed along and when Clover came back to class. Clara came back in her gym clothes and accused Clover of pouring water on her." Matteo explained the whole incident that happened to Millie and she stared at us in disbelief.

"That's ridiculous!"

"I know...and I can't believe the teacher would believe her vague explanation and gave me detention..." I muttered out, rolling my eyes. Students are not the only ones who need a brain check-up, even teachers too.

"It sounds like she has been living under a rock and was not able to feel water for a long time." I laughed as Millie joked while slurping on her spaghetti and Matteo was silent and was seemingly like he was staring into space.

I waved my hand in front of him to get his attention which it did and he looked at me curiously.

"Are you okay?"

"Y-yea I'm fine..." He stuttered as he quickly avoided my eye contact, making me raise an eyebrow at him. Something's bothering him, maybe? We chatted for a while more before leaving the cafeteria and headed up the stairs to Millie's class and sat down in her class for a little while before the bell rang.

"Good luck with lessons, at least she isn't in the same class as you."

"Unfortunately, she is Millie."

"What kind of bad luck do you have..."

"I don't know, maybe it's a curse than a bad luck." I shrugged my shoulders and stopped halfway in the hallways as my stomach started to hurt.

"Hey, you guys get to class first, I'll head to the washroom for a little while..."

"Are you okay?"

"Suddenly my tummy hurts, help me tell the teacher that Matteo, thanks~!" after finishing my sentence I quickly ran into the washroom and headed for any one of the stalls available.

My stomach felt calm after a while of doing my business in there and I got out to wash my hands clean. God, I need to hurry up for lessons, I've been in there longer than I expected.

I quickly checked myself in the middle before heading out of there and was stopped by a familiar figure, my goodness...what now. I stared at the person coldly as I sighed.

"What are you doing here...shouldn't you be in class now?" I asked, seeing that Clara wasn't in class. She gave a small smirk as the other three surrounded me. I came to school for peace, not a whole drama set here, this is where people came to study not act around here...

"I came to see you here in school and this is how you treat me?"

"Whatever, stop being a drama queen, and let's just get to class." I ignored whatever she said and walked past her when she grabbed my wrist harshly to pull me back. I pulled back my wrist from her grip and glared at her.

"Woah calm down tiger, I mean no harm."

"This is a school...not a theater for you to act, get it right Clara and I don't have time to watch you being all dramatic here and there."

"I'm not acting nor am I a drama queen!"

"Yeah okay, I understand. Let's just go already, we're late." I ignored her again, turning my back on her, and walked a few steps down the stairs when I got pulled back by my wrist again.

"Let me go already, which part of my English do you not understand?!" Clara did not reply me but smirked at me as she forcefully pushed me backward, making me twist my ankle as I was turned around by her to face her.

We both somehow fell down the stairs together and I hit my head against the wall as she was on top of me which increased the impact of my fall than hers. I was the first one down the stairs making me a cushion for her so she didn't have much of an injury.

"Urgh..." I groaned out as I could feel a throbbing pain from my head, I could even feel something dripping down from my head and I suppose that is blood. Clara got up and smiled at me, she grabbed my mouth and looked down at me.

"If I can't have Zeke then no one can..." She whispered in my face and waved at me before walking back down the stairs happily. Damn it...my head hurts...I tried getting up but fell back down as my sprained ankle wasn't really helping me much with anything.

Though I'm glad she isn't hurt anywhere but still...what a sister I have. Probably the dumbest mistake I've made was to save her from father before...but I should be glad that at least I had her by my side when I was younger...otherwise I wouldn't have anyone to accompany me...

My vision started to get blurry as I blinked. My head hurts but it's not as bad as what I experienced before, I tried staying awake but my head was and eyes were giving out.

"Someone...anyone..."
