Chapter 2 : Sleep Walking

I looked around the house, it was pretty empty and quiet, i went up to my room, placing the plant on my study table while my bag on the floor.

I got changed into my comfy clothes before taking out all my homework to do. An hour and a half passed, i did finish all my work and now resting on my bed, staring at the ceiling.

"Ah i should get going." I mumbled to myself, getting off my bed, taking the plant and went downstairs. I stopped in my tracks, being greeted by a familiar face.

"oh you were home? the house is dead silent." I stared at Clara, my older sister, who is a year older than me, the same age as Zeke. I ignored her, quietly walking to the door.

"aren't you gonna greet your sister?" I stopped again, turning around to face Clara.

"hello sis..."

"where are you going?" Clara asked looking at my hand which was holding onto the potted plant.

"i'm just heading over to Zeke's..." I replied, my voice was soft but could be heard from the quietness of the house.

"where's father?"

"i don't know, i didn't see him when i came home..."

"well okay then, don't disappoint father, just stick to what he said, you don't have to love your soulmate or get along with him. Also i wonder how did he become your soulmate." Clara reminded while looking at me from head to toe.

"Zeke is good looking and has the riches but sadly his soulmate is you...when it could be me instead." It sounded like as if Clara was looking down on me, mocking me but I hung my head low, clenching tightly onto the potted plant.

I left the house without saying a word back to her, i didn't want to hear all the nonsense about what she is saying nor what our father said.

I believed that Zeke and i will get along just fine, it just needs time. I walked a few minutes before arriving at Zeke's house, I knocked on the door, seconds later the door opened revealing a shirtless Zeke with his hair dripping wet that made me blush.

"what?" Zeke asked but I was too mesmerised by his looks, staring straight at him. I also noticed that he has some fine looking chest.

"are you gonna come in or just stand there?" I snapped out of it and nodded my head in embarrassment. Zeke let me in, i went to his living room, placing the plant on the table. We did not say a word to each other, he went to dress himself in a shirt while drying his hair.

he came back, sitting on the couch, looking at his phone while I just admired the plant, with thoughts that was running through my mind.

"quit staring at that plant already, do you want anything to eat?" Zeke asked without looking at me, i smiled and went to sit on the couch beside him.

"hmmm anything is fine!"

"can you scoot over? its uncomfortable here." he coldly looked at me, that made shivers ran down my spine, before going back to my original spot on the floor.

Zeke then stood up and walked to the kitchen, getting himself a glass of water. My eyes unconsciously followed him, looking at his every move.

"what? do you need a glass?" Zeke asked but I shook my head, looking away from him. I stared back at the plant and suddenly went in a daze, thinking about things. Then thoughts of what my sister said flew into mind which made me frown a little.

I drank my water while scrolling through my phone. After some while the door bell rang, I went over to get it.

"thank you..."

I took the food that i ordered, placing them on the dining table. I looked over at Clover who was still staring weirdly at the plant. I sighed, wondering why do I have a weird soulmate like her.

"Hey the foods is here!"

I called out but Clover didn't seem to hear me, I rolled my eyes, walking over to her and tapped on her shoulders. Clover flinched and turned to look at me.

"foods here..." I pointed out, walking away to the dining table. Clover followed along and sat opposite of me at the table, she took out the food I bought for her and started eating it. Dinner was quiet and silent...

"umm thank you Zeke~" Clover thanked me as she chewed on her food but i kept quiet, not saying anything.

I didn't eat much since i wasn't that hungry, i stared at her as she ate in silence after saying her thanks.

"why are you staring at me~?" Clover noticed that I was staring at her, she smiled but I showed a disgusted face.

"why would I want to look at you?" I stood up, walking away up to my room, slamming the door shut behind me.

"he must really dislike me huh..." i looked back at the table and started cleaning up the things. I looked around Zeke's house, it isn't mh first time here but it is the first time I ever stayed this long in his house.

Normally he would let me in and after I was done with my things or business with him, he would chase me out of his house.

"Maybe...he has gotten used to me~?" I thought, smiling to myself. Since it was still early in the afternoon, i decided to help around with the cleaning of the house. After i was done, i went to sit down on the floor, i stretched out my arms onto the table, exhausted.

I rested my head on my arms and stared at the plant, sighing. "Why doesn't he like me, even if it's just a little, it's fine..." i ended my sentence with a yawn.

"I'll just rest for a while...he won't mind right...?" I thought to myself as i layed my head comfortably on my arms, slowly falling into dreamland.

I was in my room doing my own things, not caring about Clover at all. After some hours, the house was silent, i thought maybe Clover went home since there was nothing much to do.

I put my phone aside on my bed and went down to the living room. I noticed that the house was cleaned, glancing over at the table, I saw Clover sleeping soundly.

"what is she..." I sighed as I went over to her, lifting her up in a bridal way and taking her to my room. I gently placed her on my bed and crossed my arms.

"this girl..." i muttered out, rolling my eyes but when i was about to leave the room, i got pulled back by Clover.

"stay...don't go..."
