Flashback

It was the late evening of the rosy winter's of December.

The first time Jimin layed his eyes upon Chaemin.

Chaemin a simple girl in Seoul. Who worked at a decent restaurant as a part time singer.

Everyone who knew her was very fond of her, she was the girl who hyped up other people with positivity and a lot of energy, no doubt that Jimin mistook her to be his mate.

But what a tragedy that the girl who filled other people with positivity herself was a full vase of negativity who tortures herself and has never loved a single part of herself, who has no belief in herself.

Maybe that was the reason of the downfall of their relationship. Even though she maintained an amazing relation with all the other people around her, she couldn't do that with Jimin, there was this point where everything started to shatter.

That one evening when Jimin and the others had decided to have a celebration meal for their successful comeback.

They were seated on the front table with the perfect view of the singing performances, chattering loudly enjoying their drinks having a blast when suddenly they were snapped out of their tipsy fun on hearing an angelic voice.

They looked at the source of the voice, the performance on stage with the back up dancers moving effortlessly to the rhythm and a slim girl standing in the middle of the performers chanting her enchanting voice.

Every member was enjoying the performance but there was this one person who was mesmerised by chaemin, lost in his own world, feeling a weird kind of attraction towards the girl, mistaking it to be a sign of them being mates but when in reality it was something else.

It took him a long time to realize that the bond he thought to be special was just a mere Infatuation.

Later that night, by asking the manager he met her.

And his doubts were instantly cleared, he realized that even though they weren't mates there seems to be some sort of connection that binds them.

That was the day when Jimin believed that he comes under the category of people who aren't gifted with the blessing of a mate.

If it was in some other case, then he would have been extremely upset about it but not in this case where be met such a beautiful person named Chaemin.

Its not a crime to love another person before meeting your mate but that's wrong at least for those who are destined with their soulmates but absolutely right for rare no-mate people.

And there are signs that tell you that you fall under that category. You feel this beautiful connection with almost all women or men, there is no special feeling for that person.

So basically the people who are non-mate gets coupled with another non-mate person. It is also said that after these two people become a couple they become each other's soulmate in next birth.

Now coming back to jimin, who didn't have any knowledge about the non mate people making it the reason why he thought that he's one of them.

Making it his biggest mistake.

He discovered that it wasn't only him who felt something between them, it was mutual with Chaemin.

For Chaemin, she was shocked to know that a singer from such a world class group approached her.

She wasn't a passionate follower of the Bangtan boys but definitely knew about their immense popularity.

Their first meeting consisted of Jimin telling her about her beautiful voice and them exchanging numbers.

One thing led to another and soon the everyday chatting, calling and the frequent meetings turned into them confessing to each other.

"I have always felt this amazing connection with you, yes I know that we aren't mates but don't you feel these weird butterflies dancing inside your stomach..".

She giggle at his words.

The thing is that Chaemin is a charming girl, everyone feels attracted towards her, not only because of her beauty but her personality and nature too.

And Jimin, in Chaemin's eyes he's the most humble and Q makes her hesitate.

The insecurities of when she compares herself to the other female idols in the industry where he works.

She is too self conscious and thinks herself to be ugly.

But nonetheless she gives these beautiful feelings a chance and accepts Jimin's confession.

Everything felt like pure heaven and a perfect bliss until Chaemin's insecurities got the best of her.

Listening to the rumors of Jimin possibly dating another idol secretly, she couldn't help but feel jealous and betrayed.

That's the big difference between the mate bond and a non mate bond.

Trust.

A non mate usually have trust issues and what not. But a mate bond, its impossible to not trust the other partner. Just take Mia's and Jimin's bond for example.

And when the insecurities got the best of her, they were soon outcomed into arguments and fights between the couple, furthermore when Jimin went abroad for the new comeback's promotion, chaemin was left with a disheveled mind.

The fights that they had never came to a solution, leaving her in utter confusion of whether Jimin truly loves her or not. Was he just playing with her all this time.

She knows that she wasn't worth of all these good things but how could Jimin do that to her.

And so she made up her mind that this is all wrong.

Thinking that its all Jimin's fault in first place to start something which he couldn't even continue faithfully.

Instead of understanding and accepting her own faults, she started to blame Jimin and the rumors weren't helping either.

On Jimin's arrival she lashed  out on him, breaking his heart into pieces.

"What did you think Jimin that I wouldn't know about what you are doing behind my back, you cheater!!".

Not giving him a chance to speak, she continued to throw the harsh words at him.

"Why did you do that huh?! Am I not good enough? Do I look less beautiful than the bitch you've been hanging out with-".

"Shut up!! What are you talking about?! We alre-".

"Oh please! Dont give me that stupid excuses again. Like seriously what is wrong with you-".

"What is wrong with me?! Nothings wrong with me on the contrary I think everything's wrong with you!!".

That was the last straw, she was already so insecure and him blaming her didn't help at all.

"No Park Jimin!! You are wrong, you are the one at fault! If you couldn't handle a relationship then why start it at the first place, always giving me that stupid excuse that its medias work to make stupid rumors, rumors are also made on some fact evidences jimin!!! Its true after all, all these celebrities are the same, hooking with random idols to gain popularity.

Nothings wrong with me, I am perfect but you-you are the defenation of imperfect, always making horrible mistake onstage, having stupid voice cracks and have you seen that fat on your body, you are ug-".

She stopped, seeing how a single tear managed to drop from his eyes, his whole face looked as if he was ready to have a full breakdown.

And that's when she realized that she has crossed the line. In a way all those things that she said were her way of protecting herself.

All those false remark were what she had always blamed herself for.

She didn't meant a single word that she barked to Jimin.

He didn't wait for her further humiliation and ran away.

Chaemin got that nothing would change their fate now.

Everything's been said and she knows that all of this was her fault.

Once again she failed herself and ended up ruining something beautiful.

After a whole month she received a text from Jimin, making her realize the actuality.

'Chaemin-ah'

Its been days that we've talked and this will remain unchanged.

These would be my last words to you.

Those three months that I spent with you were one of the best moments of my life, you brightened my life in a lot of ways and I had hoped that I did the same with you but unfortunately I was wrong. You had always carried some bitter feelings all along. I wish I could turn time and make you understand well but I think that would have been useless too because you had made up your mind that I was always the one at fault in our relationship. Your words have deeply hurt me and now thanks to you I always question my skills. You have left your mark by helping me to develop insecurities for myself. I don't think I can write anymore but I wanted you to know that I truly loved you. I talked about this with my hyungs and have come to the best conclusion.

I wish you have a great life ahead without an imperfect person like me.

I am officially breaking up with you Yoon Chaemin.

She cried and cried.

Crying at her stupidity.

Blaming herself for everything.

If only she could go back in time.

Realization hit her,

That you need to love yourself in order to love someone else.

But it was too late for that.

And it was a way of the universe and destiny so that Jimin meets his actual mate.

So that Jimin meets his real happiness Mia.
