Chapter 3 (Let Me Love You)
Elijah’s point of view-
After paying at the coffee shop, we took a cab to the hospital. It had started to drizzle lightly, the rain pattering against the window frame. Half of the time I am still thinking of ways to convince Stella to go home. I still remember how shaken up she gets around her parents death anniversary and how she would refuse to go to hospitals when she fell sick.
I would have to settle on calling the doctor who had a clinic downstairs in our office building. But now here she is, accompanying me to the hospital. Going to a place because she doesn’t want me to be alone. How come she is so selfless?
And why am I so selfish when it comes to her? A part of me is thinking of excuses but another part of me is happy to have her by my side. At the coffee shop when she hugged me, I wanted to tell her that I love her. When she said that she is sure about wanting to come with me, I wanted to tell her that I love her.
