THE FAMILY

It was six pass thirty minutes in the morning and it was Thursday, Vincenzo was woken up by his alarm clock of his phone. He went straight to the bathroom to freshen up and get his attire for school from his wardrobe locker, he sea blue blouse shirt, white singlet, and a black denim jeans. He placed the outfits for school on the bed and head straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for his sister and him before going to school.

He was shocked to see his parents at home during at home during weekday like Thursday, Vincenzo's guttural made his parents to gaze at him.

His mum Sofia Andrea was among the best dentists in Milan,she was always busing going to other metropolitan cities in Milan on patience who requested her service.

Dad Giovanni Andrea was in the police force who got promoted from commissioner to chief commissioner when the other chief commissioner Mr. Alfred Alphonso retired and dad took his position. Dad position had made him putting his family on arm length, everyday busing going to meetings, occasions out the country and also meet well known personalities in the countries as well.

'Hi son hope you are doing great' asked by his dad, Vincenzo was about to utter a word when his mum cut him off with a statment 'we know you and your sister are surprise to see us home today which is a working day' said by his mum. 'Yes we are besides you guys are always busy with your work stuffs' said by his sister Valentino.

His sister who was diagnosed of Ventricular Septal Defects,VSD she has a hole in his heart since her early teens to his late teens.

Vincenzo noticed the sound was coming from behind him, whom her sister flank next to him. Vincenzo was hypnotized by his parents presence at home today that she didn't notice his sister's presence flank to him.

'No school today I have informed your school authorities about your absence for school today, so can you guys go back to your rooms and dressed up so we have breakfast together like a family' said by his dad with a grin on his face. 'What breakfast are you guys preparing actually' enquired by Vincenzo.

'Pesto' bread and 'acquacotta' said by their mum. 'Mum this is our breakfast we usually eats on Thursdays' both Vincenzo and Valentino said with one accord.

They rushed into their room and changed their attires for school to their house wear.

Family Reunion

The whole family was having breakfast at the dinner room near the hall. Everyone was quiet enjoy their meal, dad was sitting on the table head. Dad's guttural which interrupted the silence at the moment, made everyone gazed went on him including mum.

'Vincenzo and Valentino am sure you guys are wondering why your mum and I are at home today' we requested for leaf yesterday day so we could reunite with our family since it been a while we all had a special moment like this' said by their dad.

'We have a good news for both of you' said by mum.

Mum and dad gazed at each other for awhile, before the turned to gaze at mine sister and I, dad enquired 'Valentino we have found a doctor who could help you with your VSD treatment and we have arranged to be going to his place next two weeks' Since your mum and I would be going to prepare the new mansion the government provided for me in Rome,besides that's where my new office is since am I am the new chief commissioner'.

After dad was done with his good news, Valentino rushed from her seat and went to hugged dad. 'Dad am so happy to hear you two do care about me thanks to you both' said with sobering in his voice. She also went to hugged mum also and thank his for his love and care.

'Vincenzo after breakfast we would be going for a walk' said by his dad with authoritative tone, 'yes dad' replied by Vincenzo.

They finished up breakfast, Vincenzo and his dad went out for a walk, while his mum and his sister began to prepare for lunch.

Vincenzo and his dad walked out of the house and they both hit the left side of the pavement, they slouch for awhile. Vincenzo interrupted the silence of the walk with a question 'dad why do you insists we should live this city besides this city is cool and life here is simple', his dad's response 'son you don't have any idea of life now besides as time goes on you would know why I insists on is leaving this city'. Vincenzo enquired 'dad I don't actually get you', is because my family is not safe in this city the security system here is weak and besides I have new foes in the police force due to mine current office' said with worry in tone.

'Really dad' asked by Vincenzo,'yeah recently I almost got assassinated in Rome which led to the death of my security guards and besides I called for a backed up and guess what those rebels who tried to ambushed me and kill were arrested when they were outnumbered by the SWAT force' said by his dad.
