CHAPTER 81: The Deserted Veranda
Aella dried her hair with the towel after taking her bath for the night.
She flipped her damp blonde locks over her shoulders as she adjusted the white soft nightgown on her body while picking herself up from the stool.
She walked towards the bed and fell onto the mattress with exhaustion.
Her ears fell into silence as the entire Castle was deserted apart from her.
Bane and Derake had left before sunset to check out the surroundings for any incoming monsters who had been lurking around.
She thought he would be back in a few hours but even after spending the rest of the day in the library and getting ready to retire for bed, Bane wasn't still there.
Aella tried her best not to think too much about it but she couldn't help but think that something dire must have occurred there.
If not, then why was Bane not back yet? How long did it take the scout the area and return? Definitely not as long as he was taking.
