CHAPTER 73: The Conversation

Aella burst out laughing at Bane's request for him to sing her a lullaby. The question was endearing but she didn't know why it sounded funny coming from him.

"Why are you laughing?" Bane frowned as he stared at her.

"Nothing, just that it sounds weird coming from you. Do you even know how to sing one?" She asked as she rested her head on her hand.

"Well, I don't but I could make something up," Bane shrugged and she realized he was actually serious about it.

"You don't need to do that, I don't want to have even worse nightmares," Aella teased with a smile and Bane chuckled under his breath.

"You should laugh more often. It oddly fits you more than your gruesome scowls," Aella scrunched her nose, trying to imitate his signature facial expression, which was none.

"Then I guess I will have to hang around you more," Bane muttered which made Aella wonder what he meant by that.
