CHAPTER 103: The Former Lady

Aella stared back at the dimly lit room as she poked her head in slightly to get a better look but it was futile.

The windows have been shut with thick curtains covering them and she could see nothing which made it look like a vast space of gloom.

"One minute," Bane muttered before he stepped into the dark boldly, leaving only Aella by the entrance of the room.

She heard a few scruffles in the background before a streak of light flashed into the room as Bane pulled back the curtain from one of the windows.

"I could have used my powers but they are no illumination sources here," Bane mumbled and wiped his hand to get rid of the dust.

As Aella got a glimpse of what the room was about, her legs began to move in slowly with her curious eyes gauging every corner of the room.

Despite the years of abandonment that was evident from the dusty objects, the one thing that remained standing was the numerous beautiful portraits all around the room.
