Without delay, the handsome stranger showed me to my room which wasn't really far from his.

When I watched him step into a room that was just past the stairs, a small smile crept up to the corner of my lips and I closed the door. For the fact he was the one who came to fetch me must mean he was my master, else why would no one except him show up to fetch me from that place and at the right time too.

But yet again, remembering the stares I got from the people of Mount Xuandu made my stomach turn, could it be that I wasn't actually favored in Mount Xuandu?

I instantly shook the thought away and glanced at the dressing mirror at the corner close to my bed.

I was really curious to know what I looked like and dashed to the dressing table, my outfit was a bit dirty and that was expected since I stayed ten years in a cave.

I took a step back and watched as my body came in view in front of the mirror, I raised my hand to touch my face.

I look....not so bad actually.

My big brown eyes looked bright and expressive like they carried some kind of natural glow.

No wonder the handsome master was able to guess my thoughts.

I had a small face and arched eyebrows which looked down on my long dark lashes, my delicate ear framed a dainty nose and when I felt my face, it was smooth and soft.

My body looked twine thin and I had a tapered waist, gosh it's so small, my hair was a moon shadow black flowing across my back.

I've been kept under a cave for ten years and still look like this? I felt proud.

I smiled brightly and turned my attention to the big comfy bed, I had been lying on that flat stone in the cave for 'TEN YEARS', it made my whole body feel sore but that's going to be over now.

What I wanted most right now was a refreshing bath, without wasting anymore time, I took a towel from the wardrobe and hopped to the bathroom.

After soaking in the bathtub for a while and was 100% sure I got the dirt's out of my skin, I stepped out and quickly got dressed in a pink hanfu gown I had found laying on my bed.

I looked at myself in the mirror to make sure I was all perfect, tied my hair in a messy bun and left my room, everything was happening so suddenly It was all hard to take in.

I still had more questions to ask the handsome master so I left my room to go find him, following the stairs and strode past the garden, admiring everything I came across, his hall was really big and beautiful too.

I showed up at the courtyard but met two strikingly handsome men having what looked like a serious conversation with my master.

"You brought her here?!" one of the men sounded displeased and I stopped at my tracks, wondering what they were talking about.

"Be calm Baozhi, you're getting upset for no particular reason." the other one calmly said to Baozhi who looked really annoyed.

"No reason Zhao Xu? Qui Shan seems to enjoy going against the rules of Mount Xuandu and you want me to let it be?! this is a very serious matter."

Zaoxhu dramatically rolled his eyes at Baozhi's words while my master looked untouched by it all, more like he didn't care about their statement.

"It wasn't actually that bad a curse, is it Qui Shan?" Zaoxhu asked with hopes that he was right but Baozhi intervened.

"Of course it's a curse, this young man is too stubborn to do the right thing."

"Am I?" my master finally spoke up. "When I refused to let you recieve that thunder strike because you also broke one of the rules, was I still stubborn then to have done something like that, maybe next time..."

"Hold on." Baozhi interrupted quickly, making Zaoxhu snicker.

"I'm not talking about that."

"Oh, I see." my master feigned being clueless while Baozhi avoided eye contact with him, his gaze darkened afterwards.

"How about you stop questioning me on what I do, I'm telling you this not because of me but for your own safety." he added while Zaoxhu fought back his laughter, that was clearly enough to shut Baozhi up.

I remained where I was wondering if I should leave or stay but it was too late to make a choice cause my master had already spotted me the moment he turned around.

He really wasn't expecting to see me, standing besides the entrance of the hallway, watching them.

The surprise was evident in his expression and now I felt embarrassed eavesdropping on them like this.

"Shanxia." he called, startling me and bringing me back to my senses, the two immortal's also turned to my direction and I bit my lower lip as I headed towards them.

Zaoxhu portrayed a calm aura which made him easier to talk to so I started with him.

"Greetings." I politely said, lowering my small head with a bow, they seemed somewhat astonished by my politeness, why does my behavior look like a shock to everyone in this place? I stole a quick glance at my master who cleared his throat.

"Shanxia, meet immortal Zaoxhu, our immortal Jade dragon."

Immortal Jade dragon? I smiled genuinely at him and bowed once more. "Greetings Immortal Jade dragon."

He smiled at my comment. "Hope you feel much better?" he asked and I nodded. My gaze landed on the next immortal who appeared to not be so happy by my presence.

"This is Baozhi, one of our legendary immortal's but you don't have to greet him."

"Huh?"

The immortal Baozhi and I expressed our shock together, Zaoxhu couldn't hold his laughter anymore and looked away.

My master tsked at him but said nothing, I knew he didn't mean it so I proceeded to pass my greetings.

"Greetings Immortal Baozhi." I said politely and although hesitant, he replied with a "Hmm."

"You two can leave now, I don't really enjoy seeing my hall this crowded, out." he said, Zaoxhu only gave him a playful glare and just like that, he was out of sight, same with Baozhi.

Once they were gone, I turned to my master and couldn't stop myself from asking.

"Master Qui, can I call you Lord Qui?" I asked, I didn't know why but it felt right calling him that and although his face was as expressionless as glass, he nodded which was enough sign to show he liked it, but before I got the chance to ask more questions, he walked out. I couldn't even utter a word as he left me hanging, I watched him leave and wondered where he was actually going to? I only wanted to know about the curse they were talking about but I guess that can be figured out later.
